Boots are fine except laces frayed after I had them only 8 weeks. I took them back to store I bought them from who were unhelpful , they said I had to contact Clarkes customer services. I did this and they said they had no laces in stock. Eventually they agreed I could buy laces elsewhere, I did this and they paid up but very poor service from Clarkes.

I got the boots shortly after Christmas, wore them a few times. I was so excited, they were just what I was looking for. Super Bowl Sunday we went to some friends and I showed off my new boots. When I went to put them back on (game over) the tab from one boot came off in my hand. Everyone was surprised since I'd said I'd only had them a few weeks. I put them in a box in the garage intending to mail them to Clarks to see if they could be repaired and honestly forgot about them. Found them, mailed them in and Greg tells me your experts said a mouse chewed them when I stored them in my garage. My garage isn't a normal garage, it's like a house with a car in it. The tab came off BEFORE they were in the garage, besides, I have many shoes, boots, etc... in the garage. This is the ONLY pair I've ever owned this happened to. I'm insulted and disgusted since my letter stated the tab came OFF, not chewed! Horrible customer service response blaming the customer (or mouse) and poorly made product. I'll never buy a pair of Clarks again. When even Walmart takes better care of it's customers there's a problem. I'll return the 20% off coupon. What the experts took to be chew marks from mice is just the porousness of the foam, at least that's what my experts at Cornell University said.

I bought a pair of the Clarks Men's Whelkie Beach Brown Flip Flops 26068172. I love the feel/shape/comfort of the sole design. The between the toes strap wore out after a year. Thought I would try it again - bought another pair - liked the design so much. SAME THING happened. In 1 year...strap quit, wore out. Soles have hardly any wear on them. $50 bucks for this??? NEVER again... I'm staying away from Clark's shoes - all of them.

I purchased a pair of 170.00 shoes from the online store and when I received them they were totally different then what I purchased. The shoes in the box were only 59.99..Go figure. I called and spoke to an awesome customer service rep and he assured me that he would help me reorder the same shoes with a 40% discount so I did it. He promised me it wouldn't happen again well it did I received the same shoes again I will NEVER order from Clarkusa.com again...

I purchased a pair of shoes today from Buchanan street Glasgow and asked the assistant if I could purchase a plastic carrier bag as it was raining and didn’t want a paper one! I was told they had none? After walking around town for an hour my new white coat was covered in black ink all down the front transferred from the black paper bag!i returned to the shop very upset and was told “I’m afraid there’s not much we can do”I asked for the manager whom disappeared in the back shop! The shop assistant went in to the back for him to speak to me but came back out waving a bit of paper telling me to phone the customer service and NO MANAGER! I feel very disappointed and angry the way this situation was dealt with and not a single apology from any of the THREE members of staff that were approached about my return to the shop!

POOR QUALITY BEGETS POOR QUALITY - No matter how you spin it! I bought brand-new, never-worn Indigo Clarks shoes at a thrift store. I loved them--the color (brown and light green), style with the wonderful and colorful ribbon, the Velcro, and most of all the comfort. What a find! After wearing them for about 1/2 hour, the "foam" in the heal of the shoe burst out of the sides. The foam inside was obviously dry-rotted and extremely poor quality. It only did it on one shoe. I decided to poke the foam back in with glue and see how things went. That's how much I liked them. Not only did it not hold on the one shoe, but the other shoe did the same thing. Unfortunately, I was at a very heavily-attended event and was very embarrassed by the state of my shoes. I'm not sure how Clarks will address this issue, but my thinking is Clark's unloaded these shoes in whatever manner was possible because they knew there was a huge quality problem with them and the materials used to manufacture them. Once you found out about the foam problem, the shoes sat in your warehouse and the foam degraded. At some point somebody said, "We've got to get rid of these things. Let's donate them to thrift stores!"...aka, unsuspecting idiots and customers. "Plus, we can say we donate to CHARITY! I did see them online and yes, they're probably not a terribly new line, however, that doesn't explain the total degradation of the materials you used to create them! I've never seen this happen to a shoe in my life. Horrible, horrible quality. What a disappointment. I called customer service and spoke with a guy for a few minutes. He was very versed and familiar with the issue. Company-line--ready and waiting. The foam degrading is a known problem and the "natural" foam now used--not sure he actually said this--isn't as poor of quality; it will still fall apart. The shoes were made in 2004 and are/were apparently created to fall apart because they will go into a landfill. They don't fall apart from wear, they fall apart because of the materials they're made from and because if you don't wear them, the foam won't stay limber. Hrm. Ultimately, I was told that if they had been worn, they wouldn't have done what they did. Does this sound like gibberish to you? "We make them to fall apart. If you don't wear them, they will fall apart." I really believe they sat in a Clark's warehouse until somebody said we need to dump these things. A pair of Clarks shoes to the person who comes up with the best idea on how to do it. If I left a pair of shoes in a box for 14 years, brand new, I don't think the foam would disintegrate into powder. I will receive a 25% off coupon. I won't use it to buy any Clarks brand shoes because of this experience, the quality of the shoe, and because of the ridiculously poor and CONVOLUTED explanation I received. At least he was truthful--and pretty much felt that the explanation was sufficient and the coupon. It wasn't. SUGGESTION - On every box, warn people about the foam. --The materials used to make these shoes are meant to disintegrate. We're making poor quality shoes that won't last and saying it's to save the earth. HA!

I have recently bought my third pair of clarks shoes medora sandy, the pair before was similar to everlay luna, but all shoes are very slippy in wet weather. I can only wear them in dry weather. They are comfortable but useless to walk in

The quality of Clarks shoes used to be highest ever ! Now you have changed the material they are made out of and they suck !!!!! So disappointed. They fit my feet perfectly, now they are made out of the poorest quality material that I can imagine, must be getting them made cheaper !!!!

Wore the new shoe once and the second day I put them on the heel broke into pieces ! Love the style, but it didn't even last 2 times ? I am partially paralyzed, and not hard on my shoes, cause I don't walk much. It was 8 years that my last other brand shoes lasted ! Glad I didn't throw them out. Sorry clark, improve your quality and you will have a lot of sale.

I bought a pair of sillian Bella black shoes a month ago.The leather looks as if it's going to split and they look scruffy.i took them back to store to be told they were synthetic and as there is no fault they couldn't do anything. The shoes cost 49 pounds and I would expect better quality I was going to buy boots but I'm afraid it won't be from Clarks.

My husband recently had a issue with his Clark’s boots having a defect with the heel. We were traveling and he noticed the heel had split in a weird spot and was now wicking water into the boot. He had them less than a year. We stopped in a Clark’s store where the sales associate offered to sell him a new pair (different style) and give a credit towards them. Unfortunately, she did not have his size available, so we said we would take care of it at home. When we went to our Clark’s store, the girl who was “manager” wouldn’t even look at them and said it wasn’t her problem! Seriously, would not even look at them! We drove 30 minutes to have her treat us worse than I’ve seen anyone ever act with a customer. I, myself, have numerous years in retail and retail management and my husband is a quality manager. She came across as extremely rude, unprofessional, uneducated, not to mention untrained. She was so rude to my husband, I stepped over to the counter and asked for the name and contact info of her district manager. She would not give me any contact info and begrudgingly gave the customer service number. She even refused to give me her name! A sure sign that a person knows they are treating you unjustly and don’t want to be reported! She said the company has been “shaky” for the last few months. I have no idea what she meant, but if this is the way they stand behind their product and treat customers, then I guess things are “shaky”. I immediately called customer service when I left the store and was told that shouldn’t have happened and the district manager would be sent an email and would call me. Well, that was over 5 days ago and no call. Obviously, customer service and product quality are both suffering at Clark’s. They charge too much for boots that you essentially get one season of wear. It’s a shame when I look at our shoes and ALL are Clark’s except our sneakers and one or two others. Time to shop other brands. They just lost 3 customers with this incident. I will be sure to tell all my friends as well. This was the first time we had an issue with Clark’s but that store manager along with a DM who doesn’t follow up is unacceptable! We gave them an opportunity to make this right and instead it just gets worse. Poor quality and poor customer service, not the formula of a good company. Maybe that’s what she meant by “shaky”.

I wasnt surprised to find very many poor reviews for Clarks though I didnt know about them until I was on the receiving end of poor service at my local shoe shop.OK UK home High Shoe Companies dont have a great record.Mainly its the service followed by the ranges. The 6 week training course doesnt seem to include words like please, thank you, would you like a bag, charm, tact and pleasantness. Many people are experiencing things "chucked'on the too small counter, phrases accompanied by jabbing fingers like"Youll have to Wait"etc. So not too surprised to read profits are down was it 75%?and a review of the 500 or so shops is in hand.In this case the women staff seemed more to be failing to sell autumn boots to female customers, wasting time on lots of walk outs than attending to a waiting male customer come to collect shoes already paid for whilst delivering free advice on 'manners'though displaying a remarkable lack of them themselves.Tip:Not Good For Business. There exist 1000s of negative customers reviews too on other review sites frommall sorts of people pointing to something very rotten in this company.

When I took my shoes to be heeled (by a well know boot mender) I was told sorry these cannot be done as nothing will stick! As these shoes had only been worn a MAXIMUM of 10 times, I went to the shop I purchased them from and was told basically they were a "throw away shoe", and that unfortunately this will be the norm. What? Why? I have ALWAYS wore Clarks shoes - but honestly will not be spending over £60 on shoes that need throwing away after a few wears. I will go into Clarks again... and scrutinise the shoes and tell the assistants and anybody else listening that your shoes are not worth the money. I will tell them to go to TESCO's - where I bought a pair of "walking the dog round the block" slip on's which I paid £16 for - and they are still going strong after three daily walks throughout the summer.

we went to the Clarks store and had to order a pair to be shipped to our home since they didn't have any in stock. Clarks shipped the order but did not specify that delivery must have a signature for deliver so the post office left it at the front door. The package was stolen and we never got the shoes. The post office won't take a claim since Clarks did not specify Signature for delivery when they shipped it. I called the store for a replacement and they said it's not their problem since delivery happened and they are not responsible for stolen items. So they refuse to replace an item when they didn't mark "delivery by signature" leaving their deliveries open to theft and no responsibility. Honestly, worst company I have ever dealt with. Will never purchase another pair of shoes from them with customer service like that.
