Went to Costa Coffee at Junction 27 Tiverton to purchase a mango and passion fruit cooler. The store was busy and there was long queue waiting whilst 2 servers tried to get the orders out as quickly as possible. I paid for my drink and waited patiently for my order only to still be waiting whilst they filled the cups, fetched more toasties, cooked toasties and filled the next customers order whilst I was still standing there. By this time two extra members of staff came out and I had to remind them they had not filled my order otherwise I would have still be standing. When she did fill my order she give me my cooler proudly saying I’ve given you the next size up due to the wait. Whoopee do, that was what I had paid for in the first place. When I started to drink the dam thing, I found in her haste to make the drink she hadn’t blitzed it properly and ice lumps got continually stuck in the straw which ended up a useless soggy mess but by this stage I was too far away to bring it back. Note to costa, when you are busy you should have enough servers on duty to cope with the demand and at these times you need to have a system in place so customers orders are not overlooked.

After many many years of praising Costa Coffee today was a horrendous experience at their Terminus Road, Eastbourne house. This is not to be confused with the newer establishment opposite Eastbourne Railway Station. Over the visits you expect to have a few words with the staff and we have always found them to be friendly and with great customer service skills. Today we placed our order and were chatted to by the lady barista. My wife is very unsteady and in unable to carry the drinks so I always do it.. The coffee house was nearly empty so she headed towards the rear of the house. The male assistant pulled a chair ahead of her to block her path. He then instructed her to sit at a table closer to the counter. This was done in such a loud way I thought someone was shouting at her for some reason. The same man throughout our visit was literally shouting at customers to avoid the area he was concerned with. I noted that despite the female staff member being really bust and taking order and payment and serving the refreshments the male just continued shouting. As the toilets were in the no go area I asked if it was okay to walk down the right hand side of the restaurant. He then shouted, "use the second toilet on the right" I said to him, 'Thank you. I know and so does everyone else in here now'. We were amazed that two children were in the area that was clear of customers until we realised they were his children. He asked the female staff member to provide drinks for 'his little ones'. We had decided that instead of a relaxing time over coffee this man thought it was fine to shout his head off. We even know he had bet £50 today for England to with against Scotland with a score of 3-0. This was the worst experience of Costa Coffee and in fact any coffee establishment it was appalling! After all these years we have decided to take our custom elsewhere. I have given one star for the service at the time of ordering. This male staff member needs to be aware that some people are slow moving and mat be disabled. He obviously either thinks customers are deaf or are interested in listening to him tell his children and customers off and for him to share his knowledge with everyone when most people just want to enjoy a relaxing few minutes with a good coffee. Time for us to move on. I stress the lady in Costas was friendly and ensured we had complied with their Covid requirements.

I am becoming increasingly upset by the attitude of Costa staff in how rude they are at telling customers to stand on the 2meters floor labels or worse still ‘go and wait outside’ until less customers are in the store . We have found the staff at your Redditch Kingfisher store , Longbridge store and Hereford store very very rude, there are ways of asking people nicely and sadly Costa staff are anything but nice , we have found them to be very very rude and abrupt. The Longbridge store didn’t have any staff on the door checking numbers and there was nothing displayed on the door to advise of a number limit making it impossible to know if we were allowed to enter or not until we were shouted out from the cashier to get out . I totally understand the seriousness of this situation but please tell your staff to be pleasant to customers when requesting adherence to the in store COVID regulations. I have been a customer of Costa for many years but I no longer feel my custom is valued

Called in Costa near KFC and Tesco in Chesterfield a few days ago , 3 women behind the counter all busy , but not one of them even acknowledged the fact that I was stood there waiting over 5 minutes , and people who know me can vouch I'm far from being invisible.Would you not think that at least 1 out of the 3 would have had the common decency to say " Sorry we're a little busy someone will be with you shortly " ? No such luck. Was it because I wasn't wearing a suit and was in green cargo pants and green tee shirt ? Needless to say I just walked out. If this is how they treat people I will never go there again.

I visited Costa coffee shop in Next Camberley the medows. The person who served me was wearing a mask so it was not ear what she said. Suddenly I heard someone shouting at me in a very rude manner. He seemed to be Manager of the shop and was very rude. Not a very good experience.

Bought a filter coffee on Lowestoft retail park. Barista dispensed from Machine felt cup and said it's lukewarm and fetched a new bag of coffee to put in machine. Water trickled out of hot water machine added my milk and off I went to drink my freshly made coffee only to find it was just lukewarm again. Had a couple of sips and binned the rest...I suppose I should have returned it but as it was the second attempt I couldn't put my friend through it as she was the one that paid for our coffee and cakes.

Stratford-on-Avon. Arrogant, unprofessional staff. Vile queer given a taste of power barking rules & regulations at customers. Totally unpleasant visit. But they just don't care as plenty of tourists queueing outside.

Do not visit costa in bingley. Tables piled up in centre of the cafe. Poor service. Unfriendly manager who refused to let me move to a better table, and barked orders to stand here and move there. Very uncomfortable experience and will not go again.

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. RANT OF THE DAY So some of the good people of Sandwell who have abided by all the “rules” now wonder why they are back on restrictions ??? Well Let me tell you why from a prospective I’ve just witnessed, we have just pulled off the motorway to grab a drink at Costa Drive Through Wednesbury , there are 18 people in this Costa inside area and I was the ONLY ONE person wearing a mask to go to the counter , (now you may answer that there maybe a reason why people do not wear a mask for medical reasons and I agree , but a whole shopful ???). But I wore one to go to the counter, but not one other person bothered, and I watched with great interest which people sanitised their hands - and that was “zilch “, I have my own wipes and sanitiser which I can wipe the table etc because the cloth they are using to wipe down are a disgrace ! When I queried why there was no request for masks to be worn - (unlike at our local Costas where we live ) for people to wear a mask at the counter , the reply was - “ we cor’ mek’ em’ and happily carried on Did I miss something on Monday ??? ..... but there’s part of your reason as why your restrictions are back in place , so what’s the point in us all being penalised because of the stupidity of these kind of people 🤬 so angry Going to see if this is a franchise to complain, because the other Costa where I met with a friend last week in Wednesbury were extremely compliant 😱 and all was good for visitors - this is abysmal in this one ... rant over guys !

When visiting costa coffee in helensburgh Scotland on saturday my brother in law was asked for an email address. He does not have one so the member of staff accepted his mobile number. When he went in this morning the same thing happened. However he was told it had to be an email address. When he queried this he was told it was costa’s policy. Quite frankly this is a terrible way to treat customers especially at this time when people are being encouraged to eat out and totally against the requirements for track and trace. Needless to say he will not be back.

Had a mocha in your outlet in Basingstoke Hospital yesterday.I waited outside until there were fewer numbers in store.Hospital staff not observing social distancing,3 of them standing on one circle having a chat.No napkins given at the time of purchase either,I had to queue again to ask for one.Another lady was queuing again for salt. Then to top it all,I had to pay by card as no cash payments being taken.I stayed about Half an hour and no tables were wiped down by any staff,so I wiped my own table and chair when I left.I suggest you have a monitor on the door, who wipes tables and chairs, while advising people to stick to the rules. I will be in touch with the hospital manager to let him know that your outlet is a danger Zone.

Having Visited this branch at Castle Marina Nottingham on 20.3.20 we went via the drive through and tried to place an order on the intercom, but whoever was manning it could'nt hear me or my wife so we proceeded round to kiosh as we were holding back other customers. Got to kiosh and told them what happens and got a rather rude reply. You cant order here and you will have to drive round and place your order via the intercom as there are customers behind you waiting! Really why is it difficult to take my order there and then when its was only for two coffees, Customer service stinks especially in the Coronavirus scare we are in! needless to say we drove off and went to Starbucks instead really recommend them alot more customer orientated

Just had the ham and cheese toasted sandwich and can definitely say the worst I have ever had! For the price expected a lot more but was dry beyond belief and zero flavor and non existent fillings.
