It is sad to see the lack of customer service at dick’s. Three employees were gathered together ignoring all customer requests. when I inquired where something was a woman who turned out to be a manager named Joanne at the Roosevelt Field store in Garden City, New York waved in the general direction of Fitness equipment and said “it’s over there.” She clearly had no interest in me finding it. Once I couldn’t find it I went back. They were still chatting and I interrupted with the news that I couldn’t find it. so she said well I guess we don’t have it. She did not offer to help me find it online and grudgingly said she’d send someone over to help me look. Unfortunately that person was busy with another customer. And then they wonder why we order things from Amazon.

Awful service, they sent me the wrong item two times in a row and I spent over 2 hours on the phone and they could not figure out how to give me my money back. Never will purchase from dicks again.

This is my second time put on a review on any places but this time for big store is a shame to have a service very poor. Bought a bike last year still under warranty. Every time i come and ask for my bike no one available or the guy comes after several minutes says i dont know nothing about it . Its been 3 weeks and i need to follow up otherwise no one call for any updates. Never buy or service bike from Dicks . Very disappointed. Be aware

I waited more than a month for my order, has emailed 3x for update because it never arrived. Customer Service said ut was delivered ! My security canera showed nothing was delivered on that date. They told me to ask my beighbors or my family members! So ridiculous!I simply got tired and don’t want to waste my time following it up. Please refund my money if you can.

Purchased shoes they were to big return for a smaller size they got the shoes back in two days but I have to wait damn near a month to get refunded my money I’ll never order anything online form Dicks again

June 28, 2025 @4:45 p.m. I visited the Lombard, IL, location today with the intention of purchasing a pair of gym shoes and two pairs of sandals. While browsing on the first floor toward the back of the store, I sought assistance from a store associate to find my size in the Oofos sandals. The employee told me he didn’t know if they had my size and made no effort to help—he seemed completely uninterested in assisting me further. He was far more concerned with having a conversation with another co-worker regarding getting out of work on time! When I handed him a box of shoes that didn’t fit, he wouldn’t even make eye contact—just extended his arm in a dismissive gesture. His overall demeanor came across as apathetic and unprofessional. I was so disappointed with the lack of basic customer service that I left the items in my cart and walked out. Is this truly the level of service customers are expected to accept now—staff standing around, refusing to assist shoppers who are ready to make a purchase? This experience was frustrating and frankly unacceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve training and accountability.

Dicks has the most ridicules return process of charging you most of the cost of th product to”restock”. What a joke I’ll go 20 miles out of the way to never have to shop there again I tried to change a gift for another product and this egregious restocking charge has cured me from Dicks

Ordered a rod and reel combo. Delivery was stated as being today so I checked the tracking information only to find out that it's not even been shipped yet, only has had a label created. It irritated me enough to call and cancel the order. Was told that I cannot cancel the order even though it's not been shipped. So I will leave a review and return it once I receive it, whenever that is. Absolutely crazy.

I needed a misting fan but there wasn’t much of a selection so I purchased what they had for $16.99 knowing it wasn’t what was needed but I thought I would give it a shot. It turns out I was right. I kept the receipt and tried to return it and was told they won’t take it because it was used. Had I known that was your policy I would not purchase ANYTHING there. Over the years I’ve sent multiple people to Dicks to purchase items( I’m in the golf business but don’t sell golf clubs) I will make sure I send ALL customers elsewhere from now on. I hope your loss of thousands of dollars over your policy on a $17 item was worth it.

Their customer service is awful. Ordered something on a Sunday afternoon and tried to cancel it within 30 minutes. Customer service said it's still in the store I can't cancel it. You have to wait it out. Once it's shipped and you receive it return it to the store. I will never do business with them again.

I would give a zero if I could. Places an order twice, once online and reorder by phone, and it was cancelled both times. Called for a third try and they would not talk to me because the order was in my wife’s name despite the day before they had no issue talking to me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

Went into the store looking for a new driver or a new shaft for my existing one. After standing at the counter for a good bit I finally walked to the front register and asked for assistance. After a while a young man came over but appeared to be totally uninterested in helping me. He told me if I knew exactly what I wanted he would order it. I was hoping to find out what would best suit my swing… so I walked out and went to my country cub pro shop and after trying both a new driver and a couple of new shafts, I found a solution to my problems. DON’T waste time going to Dicks!!!

Hi, I don't understand your site. This is the second time I've ordered a shoe and after paying, I receive messages telling me that I have to complete the order even though the money has been deducted from my account. I never received the first shoe. I don't understand. I hope you're not a scam site?

I’ve noticed that the Dicks sporting goods in Pflugerville in the Stone hill town center are very racist towards customers walking in the door and making sure to follow customers around the store who are just looking, they also have favoritism in their work field, if one of the managers or ur boss doesn’t like you they will schedule you less they don’t communicate with you on what you need to work on they just cut your hours. employees often talk abt other customers and workers behind their backs assuming no one has heard or noticed. I feel they need to work on their hospitality and the favoritism that goes on throughout that work company.

Surprised by the lack of customer service in busy Pembroke Pines FL store.. Shoe dept staff consisted of a few young men who offered minimal to no info regarding brands and/or size recommendations . Customer seating was inadequate with torn vinyl upholstery. We also hoped to find high quality rowing machine(s) but the store only had 2 lower end models on display. All in all a highly disappointing experience.
