I bought something from Dick’s and then returned it. The employee from The West County Mall store told me the refund was on a gift card. Turns out the gift card was never activated. Now Dick’s is refusing any help. Looks like they tolerate theft by employees. Do NOT shop there

I ordered a treadmill and used their delivery service. Their delivery service contacted me and they set the date. That day came and went and no delivery. The delivery service called and said they are at this store for pickup but the store had sold the last one so they couldn't deliver. I purchased it weeks ago and they had it in stock when I bought it. Called customer service and they where no help. Basically said o well. I looked around at other stores while on the phone and found 7 at another Dicks that was within several miles of this store. They didn't care and I still have no clue if I'm going to get what I ordered because they do not communicate. Might is well be talking to AI with their boiler plate responses and inability to help. This has been a horrible experience and I strongly suggest going to a different store. Update: the failed delivery was Jan 16th and they got the item back in store on Jan 19th but now the soonest the can deliver is Jan 29th. I ordered this on Jan 7th and it was in stock. Today is Jan 21 and based on my many calls I doubt I'll get it this month. I should have ordered from a different company. It may have looked like a good value but the time and effort I've had to put into this ate up any of the savings I was going to get by buying through them. My time is worth something too and I shouldn't have to be writing this review but if it save one person from the stress of buying from Dicks it will be worth it.

Price was great. Delivery service is horrible. Did not show with sorry excuse that truck broke down. Then they assign another day without clearing through me first. Tried to reschedule and they provide a bogus phone number keeping you on hold constantly with no one responding. Overall I would not buy from Dicks again due to their poor deliveries

Defective Luggage and Disappointing Customer Service I purchased a $200 carry‑on suitcase from Dick’s Sporting Goods online on 11/26/2025 and still have not received one usable bag from this order. The first suitcase arrived with a broken interior zipper slider before its first use, making it unusable. Customer service arranged a replacement, but that suitcase arrived on 1/8/2026 in an oversized damaged box, missing the dust bag, and with visible scuffs, scratches, and discoloration on the shell. ​ I then spent over an hour on online chat with Susanna explaining that I had received one defective suitcase and one damaged replacement. Instead of simply providing a proper new replacement at the original price I paid, I was told I would need to pay the current, higher price for another replacement at $275. The representative even "joked" that they were happy to offer me the same discount that their teammate had previously used, which only reduced the cost back to what I had already paid, making it seem as though matching my original price was a favor to me. Huh? ​ In the end, I was left with two unusable suitcases and no meaningful resolution, plus over an hour of my time spent trying to fix a problem caused entirely by defective and damaged merchandise. This experience makes Dick’s Sporting Goods feel unreliable for higher‑priced items and raises concerns about how they handle product defects, replacements, and basic pricing fairness.

I bought three items totaling 118.00. I used a $25 visa gift card and put the rest on my Mastercard. One item I had intended on exchanging. I picked up another item with sign saying it was 49.99 to exchange. Item turned out being 69.99. Sign was only good for one item on an entire fixture of sweatshirts. Just wanted a return .. they were going to put it the $52.53 on a Dicks merchandise credit. I said no because the majority of it was on my CC. That is their policy I’m told. Asked for mgr.. I argued with her, she relented giving me cash. But not without telling me I really shouldn’t be starting my New Year this way! I will never go back.. the prices are crazy high to begin with and I don’t need someone telling me how I should start my New Year.

On Cyber Monday, they advertised a tumbler that was normally $42.99 as being on sale for $29.99. I found the tumbler on the website, product page said $29.99. I added it to cart - still shows as $29.99. When I go to the checkout page, the subtotal is $42.99. I kept trying to refresh and try from different devices and the same thing would happen. Said $29.99 but when you get to the point of checking out, subtotal shows as $42.99. The chat feature was not available, so the next morning I did a chat and explained the situation and asked if they could make it right. The agent asked the supervisor who refused to sell it to me for anything other than the current selling price. I provided a screenshot and they still refused. So guess what? I will not be shopping at Dick's any longer! If Dick's can't make their website work correctly, and the supervisor is willing to lose a customer over $13.00, then so be it.

Waited ten minutes to try on two pairs of sneakers... Interacted with the salesperson 4-5 times and still nothing. Finally, just left! Unbelievable... And, there were more salespeople than customers. Wow! Where was the supervision! Fort Lauderdale...

I was looking for a treadmill and saw that Dicks had one on sale for 50% off. This is a Sole F85 for $2299 sale price. So I went to Sole website and the same treadmill is marked at regular price for $2299. Just wanted to let people know that you are not getting any deal by getting it from Dicks.

Went to pick up an online order today (10/16) around noon at the Tempe store, was criticized by a female employee at the cashier counter for not coming in within the 4-day window and that they had to retrieve the item from the back room instead of the cabinet at the front (I came in five days after the email notification). I explained to her that I did not receive any email reminder saying item will no longer be on hold, therefore thinking I still had time to pick it up. She bluntly informed me that when the first email was received, customer should have come within 4 days to pick up. Really giving the impression that the customer was in the wrong. Very unpleasant experience, regardless whatever your store policy is, especially given the fact that most stores would send reminder email before the last day of the pickup time window.  Think twice before order on-line instore pick up again at Dicks Tempe.

Absolutely terrible service. Bought 2 pairs of running shoes back in May, still nothing! No tracking number, said they were shipped, then sent out another pair with once again no tracking number. Then finally they’re going to send me a refund. Still nothing 2 months now. DON’T EVER BUY FROM THESE GUYS! SCAMMERS

Brought a new pair of LeBron XXIi sneakers online, sneakers came with no box lid. Outer box or tissue paper. It's totally unacceptable that a retailer of this size would send out a name brand sneaker without the proper packaging. The packaging is of value to a collector like myself. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DICK'S AGAIN. THEY JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS

Ordered three items to be shipped. A few hours later two items are ready to be picked up at the store and one item shipped. Rep canceled the two items that I couldn’t pick up at the store but charged me for ship on the one item when all three items were to be shipped at no cost. Never again Dicks

Absolutely disgusting service. Purchased 2 running shoes on line. Still nothing a month later, they said it was shipped and received. Asked for tracking, nothing.So they were going to ship another set. Then still didn’t come and once again no tracking number. Asked for a refund, oh it should take 10 days. Once again nothing. It’s been 3 months! DON’T BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!! Horrible service

Hate to even give a 1!! North Little Rock Arkansas store. Very rude salesperson, all he was worried about what being on his phone, and playing with a basketball, then when asked about a shoe in a wide, his response was some do and pointed to a display and said a couple does, but not some don't. did not show me what ones did.

Si haces una compra usando más de una forma de pago (por ejemplo, efectivo y gift card), ten mucho cuidado. En mi caso, pagué $33.14 con gift card y $71.72 en cash. Cuando fui a retornar el artículo, me obligaron a que todo el reembolso fuera en gift card. No importa si pagaste en efectivo, tarjeta o cualquier otra forma: si hay aunque sea $1 pagado con gift card, TODO el reembolso será forzado en gift card. Esto significa que el cliente pierde su dinero real y queda atado a seguir gastando en la tienda, aunque ya no quiera. Lo más grave es que el cajero nunca informa esta política al momento de pagar. El cajero, como representante de la tienda, debería advertir claramente que si combinas una gift card con otro método de pago, al devolver el artículo no recuperarás tu cash ni tu crédito: siempre será en gift card. Esta política es engañosa y poco transparente. El cliente debería tener la opción de recibir su dinero de vuelta en la misma forma en que pagó. 👉 Mi recomendación: si compras en Dick’s, usa una sola forma de pago. 👉 Evita mezclar gift card con cash o tarjeta, porque te obligarán a aceptar gift card en toda la devolución. Una experiencia muy negativa, que demuestra que Dick’s necesita cambiar sus políticas y ser más transparente con sus clientes. If you make a purchase using more than one payment method (for example, cash and gift card), be very careful. In my case, I paid $33 with a gift card and $72 in cash. When I returned the item, I was forced to receive the entire refund in a gift card. It doesn’t matter if you paid part in cash, credit card, or anything else: if even $1 was paid with a gift card, the entire refund will be forced back onto a gift card. This means the customer loses their real money and is tied to keep spending at the store, even if they don’t want to. The worst part is that the cashier never informs you of this policy at checkout. As a representative of the store, the cashier should clearly state that if you combine a gift card with another payment method, you will not get your cash or credit back: it will always be refunded as a gift card. This policy is misleading and not transparent. Customers should have the right to receive their refund in the same form of payment they used. 👉 My recommendation: if you shop at Dick’s, only use one payment method. 👉 Avoid mixing gift cards with cash or credit cards, because they will force the entire refund back onto a gift card. A very negative experience that shows Dick’s needs to change its policies and be more transparent with its customers.

am genuinely astonished at the level of incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction I experienced with a recent online order from Dick's Sporting Goods. This was, without a doubt, the worst online retail experience I have ever had. The order was placed and immediately went into a "pending shipment" status, where it languished for a full four weeks. Four weeks! Not a single update, not a word of explanation. It was as if my order had fallen into a black hole. After a month of waiting, I decided enough was enough and called to cancel the order. A customer service representative, who seemed completely unconcerned, promised me that the cancellation would be processed. I was explicitly told the order would be cancelled. You would think that would be the end of it, but you would be wrong. Instead of the promised cancellation, my order suddenly, miraculously, shipped. It was a bait-and-switch of the highest order. They lied to my face, ignored my request, and shipped the product anyway. This level of operational failure and outright deceit is unacceptable. They held my money for a month, lied about canceling the order, and then shipped it only after I attempted to cut my losses. Never again. I will be taking my business elsewhere and actively encouraging others to do the same. This company has proven it cannot be trusted.
