I went in yesterday 5/10/2026 to purchase a spike tool and some new spikes for my golf shoes the total purchase was 28 dollars and some change, I handed the associate a 100 dollar bill and she looks at it funny and proceeded to make it the bill turned yellow she advised me to hold on something was wrong she took the bill to the next register and her and the other associate said a few words between themselves and she came back and said she needed to call her manager, at this time the line was getting longer and people ar3 looking at me , I began to look at the front door because im thinking the police are coming in and they were stalling to keep me there, after a few minutes the manager came up looked at the bill and said he could jot take it because it was fraud, I advise them i got the bill from Bank of America and it couldn't be fraud, I then paid with my card, at that time I began to think this was a racial issue being that I am a black man and I hope this is not the case, I however did go into the store today hoping i could speak with that manager but he was not in , I did speak with Jenny the manager on duty she was great and apologized for all 3 people who i was in contact with.it will be a long time before I goun back into a Dicks sporting goods store.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Dick’s Sporting Goods. I ordered a fishing rod that arrived broken due to what can only be described as very poor packaging. The rod was placed in an oversized box (approximately 8 feet long) with minimal packing material and no proper structural protection. There was nothing preventing it from shifting or bending during transit. For a $200 item especially something as fragile as a fishing rod I expected significantly more care. Industry standard is to use a rigid tube or reinforced packaging to prevent damage. This was not done. What’s even more frustrating is that when I contacted the store, I was told I would not be able to return it. That is completely unacceptable. The damage was clearly the result of inadequate packaging, not customer misuse. I am requesting a proper resolution either a replacement or a full refund. Additionally, I strongly urge you to review your packaging practices to prevent this from happening to other customers. A rigid tube and appropriately sized box should be standard for shipping fishing rods. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I hope you take responsibility and make it right.

Dick's Sporting Goods' 3rd party installation company- AIT Worldwide Logistics, failed to show up, call,text, email, etc., they had my wife and I waiting seven plus hours, and never to up. The following week the installer arrived to haul away and install our new treadmill. In a hurry to get home, he used an impact wrench and over tightened bolts and screws, rounding off screw and bolt heads. I had to contact the manufacturer to obtain a screw/bolt assembly pack. My wife used the treadmill 15 minutes and the side support began to separate, coming a part. I spoke with the manufacturer and they advised they nolonger use AIT. Also, they informed I could purchase treadmills directly from them and they would send their own install crew to assemble. I would not recommend nor would I purchase another piece of exercise equipment from Dick's. I have yet to speak with anyone from Dick's upper management regarding. Bottomline, they could care less.

Huge store with lots of merchandise, BUT, hard to find items, no staff to help, pickleball paddles, strewn all over with no order, prices high. We left with nothing. Tried to give feedback and their site wasn’t working.

I needed comfortable shoes with great support. Went to Destiny Mall in Syracuse and was waited on by John. He knew exactly what I needed and made some great recommendations.I bought two pairs of shoes that are very comfortable. Two thumbs up to John for helping me out.

I bought something from Dick’s and then returned it. The employee from The West County Mall store told me the refund was on a gift card. Turns out the gift card was never activated. Now Dick’s is refusing any help. Looks like they tolerate theft by employees. Do NOT shop there

I ordered a treadmill and used their delivery service. Their delivery service contacted me and they set the date. That day came and went and no delivery. The delivery service called and said they are at this store for pickup but the store had sold the last one so they couldn't deliver. I purchased it weeks ago and they had it in stock when I bought it. Called customer service and they where no help. Basically said o well. I looked around at other stores while on the phone and found 7 at another Dicks that was within several miles of this store. They didn't care and I still have no clue if I'm going to get what I ordered because they do not communicate. Might is well be talking to AI with their boiler plate responses and inability to help. This has been a horrible experience and I strongly suggest going to a different store. Update: the failed delivery was Jan 16th and they got the item back in store on Jan 19th but now the soonest the can deliver is Jan 29th. I ordered this on Jan 7th and it was in stock. Today is Jan 21 and based on my many calls I doubt I'll get it this month. I should have ordered from a different company. It may have looked like a good value but the time and effort I've had to put into this ate up any of the savings I was going to get by buying through them. My time is worth something too and I shouldn't have to be writing this review but if it save one person from the stress of buying from Dicks it will be worth it.

Was at the Farmington store today to buy an ankle brace for my high school son. The last brace of the correct size had been tried on and damaged. Went to the front to order a new one and Damian said there was another one in the back. He brought us an unopened one. He was very polite, helpful, and offered kind service. Aaron checked us out and was so kind and personable. Great job guys! Keep up the great customer service. You standout in today’s society!

Price was great. Delivery service is horrible. Did not show with sorry excuse that truck broke down. Then they assign another day without clearing through me first. Tried to reschedule and they provide a bogus phone number keeping you on hold constantly with no one responding. Overall I would not buy from Dicks again due to their poor deliveries

Defective Luggage and Disappointing Customer Service I purchased a $200 carry‑on suitcase from Dick’s Sporting Goods online on 11/26/2025 and still have not received one usable bag from this order. The first suitcase arrived with a broken interior zipper slider before its first use, making it unusable. Customer service arranged a replacement, but that suitcase arrived on 1/8/2026 in an oversized damaged box, missing the dust bag, and with visible scuffs, scratches, and discoloration on the shell. ​ I then spent over an hour on online chat with Susanna explaining that I had received one defective suitcase and one damaged replacement. Instead of simply providing a proper new replacement at the original price I paid, I was told I would need to pay the current, higher price for another replacement at $275. The representative even "joked" that they were happy to offer me the same discount that their teammate had previously used, which only reduced the cost back to what I had already paid, making it seem as though matching my original price was a favor to me. Huh? ​ In the end, I was left with two unusable suitcases and no meaningful resolution, plus over an hour of my time spent trying to fix a problem caused entirely by defective and damaged merchandise. This experience makes Dick’s Sporting Goods feel unreliable for higher‑priced items and raises concerns about how they handle product defects, replacements, and basic pricing fairness.

I bought three items totaling 118.00. I used a $25 visa gift card and put the rest on my Mastercard. One item I had intended on exchanging. I picked up another item with sign saying it was 49.99 to exchange. Item turned out being 69.99. Sign was only good for one item on an entire fixture of sweatshirts. Just wanted a return .. they were going to put it the $52.53 on a Dicks merchandise credit. I said no because the majority of it was on my CC. That is their policy I’m told. Asked for mgr.. I argued with her, she relented giving me cash. But not without telling me I really shouldn’t be starting my New Year this way! I will never go back.. the prices are crazy high to begin with and I don’t need someone telling me how I should start my New Year.

On Cyber Monday, they advertised a tumbler that was normally $42.99 as being on sale for $29.99. I found the tumbler on the website, product page said $29.99. I added it to cart - still shows as $29.99. When I go to the checkout page, the subtotal is $42.99. I kept trying to refresh and try from different devices and the same thing would happen. Said $29.99 but when you get to the point of checking out, subtotal shows as $42.99. The chat feature was not available, so the next morning I did a chat and explained the situation and asked if they could make it right. The agent asked the supervisor who refused to sell it to me for anything other than the current selling price. I provided a screenshot and they still refused. So guess what? I will not be shopping at Dick's any longer! If Dick's can't make their website work correctly, and the supervisor is willing to lose a customer over $13.00, then so be it.

Very disappointed bought a pair of work boots more than one time very uncomfortable tried to return them said they will not take them back suggest never purchasing work boots from there horrible return policy
