JUSTIN WAS AWESOME!! After spending an entire wasted day on the telephone with incompetent IRS agents, and then trying to get a simple one page form from my husband's insurance company, plus another failed attempt to get one of my own insurance claims filed correctly, it was so refreshing to have a SMILING, PLEASANT human being actualy help you in Dick's store, in the flesh. DUSTIN patiently brought me 3 pairs of shoes, then waited on other people, and checked back while I dawdlled and wandered around the store testing them out and searching for my husband to give his opinion. (He had abandoned shopping, as usual, and gone out to the car, even in a heat wave.) I ended up buying the first pair he brought, and look forward to starting running again. Justin is a breath of fresh air and an asset to Dick's. I recommend him for a promotion or raise, as he knows his shoes as well as how to talk to customers. Good job at hiring a SUPER customer service employee. What a rare find these days!!

Awful service, they sent me the wrong item two times in a row and I spent over 2 hours on the phone and they could not figure out how to give me my money back. Never will purchase from dicks again.

This is my second time put on a review on any places but this time for big store is a shame to have a service very poor. Bought a bike last year still under warranty. Every time i come and ask for my bike no one available or the guy comes after several minutes says i dont know nothing about it . Its been 3 weeks and i need to follow up otherwise no one call for any updates. Never buy or service bike from Dicks . Very disappointed. Be aware

I normally don't write reviews. However, I wanted to thank Scot in the golf department for assembling my golf cart I purchased. In addition, he was able to help other customers with their services. I am so grateful he did that for me. The one on display had a flaw. So, he took another one out of the box and assembled it for me. Scot, I was so grateful for your service. I think Dick's Sporting store us very lucky to have you as an employee with your excellent customer service, and knowledge about golf. Cathy

I waited more than a month for my order, has emailed 3x for update because it never arrived. Customer Service said ut was delivered ! My security canera showed nothing was delivered on that date. They told me to ask my beighbors or my family members! So ridiculous!I simply got tired and don’t want to waste my time following it up. Please refund my money if you can.

Purchased shoes they were to big return for a smaller size they got the shoes back in two days but I have to wait damn near a month to get refunded my money I’ll never order anything online form Dicks again

June 28, 2025 @4:45 p.m. I visited the Lombard, IL, location today with the intention of purchasing a pair of gym shoes and two pairs of sandals. While browsing on the first floor toward the back of the store, I sought assistance from a store associate to find my size in the Oofos sandals. The employee told me he didn’t know if they had my size and made no effort to help—he seemed completely uninterested in assisting me further. He was far more concerned with having a conversation with another co-worker regarding getting out of work on time! When I handed him a box of shoes that didn’t fit, he wouldn’t even make eye contact—just extended his arm in a dismissive gesture. His overall demeanor came across as apathetic and unprofessional. I was so disappointed with the lack of basic customer service that I left the items in my cart and walked out. Is this truly the level of service customers are expected to accept now—staff standing around, refusing to assist shoppers who are ready to make a purchase? This experience was frustrating and frankly unacceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve training and accountability.

Dicks has the most ridicules return process of charging you most of the cost of th product to”restock”. What a joke I’ll go 20 miles out of the way to never have to shop there again I tried to change a gift for another product and this egregious restocking charge has cured me from Dicks

I have used Dick's on and off through the years. And several stores. Ive bought cleats, some sporting equipment for my kids, a bat that was used for 4 kids (Wow!) Over the years. For a gift to my ex for our divorce (it was amiciable) I got new golf head covers for my ex. He loved the quality and used them until he relocated to another state (they could still be on his clubs!). I used the online service once and they sent the wrong shoes and in the wrong size. I contacted them, sent them back, and they resent and it took 3 days longer than they said, which was a bummer, but i still ended with the right shoes. Overall, when we travel around, we love to cruise through Dick's. Its always clean.

Mr. 305 aka Doug showed great customer service. He helped our 13 year old son pick out baseball cleats. He is very friendly and helpful. He has a nice personality.

Ordered a rod and reel combo. Delivery was stated as being today so I checked the tracking information only to find out that it's not even been shipped yet, only has had a label created. It irritated me enough to call and cancel the order. Was told that I cannot cancel the order even though it's not been shipped. So I will leave a review and return it once I receive it, whenever that is. Absolutely crazy.

I needed a misting fan but there wasn’t much of a selection so I purchased what they had for $16.99 knowing it wasn’t what was needed but I thought I would give it a shot. It turns out I was right. I kept the receipt and tried to return it and was told they won’t take it because it was used. Had I known that was your policy I would not purchase ANYTHING there. Over the years I’ve sent multiple people to Dicks to purchase items( I’m in the golf business but don’t sell golf clubs) I will make sure I send ALL customers elsewhere from now on. I hope your loss of thousands of dollars over your policy on a $17 item was worth it.
