The customer service at the Rim location in San Antonio sucks. Both managers that I spoke with were unable to do anything besides repeat what the store workers said. Their reward system is even worse. After purchasing a pair of shoes with reward points that didn't work out I tried to exchange them using those same points. I was told I couldn't exchange them and would have to wait until the points were put back on my account. I was given a receipt that said the points would be back available to be used in a couple of days so I asked to put the shoes I wanted on hold and returned a few days later to make the purchase. When I went the second time to purchase the shoes with the renewed rewards I was told that it would take another few weeks before the points were put on my account so that I could use them. The manager said she would put the shoes on hold until that time. At the time I was told I called the manager to make sure the points were on my account and said I'd be there right away to pick up the shoes. I had even accumulated more points and was excited to use them. I showed up a third time within the hour and had to wait for someone to search and tell me the shoes had been put up. They finally dug them out and when I proceeded to check out I was told that if I used my reward points for the purchase then I would lose large number of remaining reward points I had accumulated. A great way to "reward" good customers. I will never shop at a Dick's sporting goods again. Fortunately I found the Hoka shoes I wanted to purchase online directly from Hoka for less than they were asking at Dick's. I will never shop there again!

Bought a Sunny Fitness treadmill and the belt and motor stopped working after only 4 months but of course after paying $575 neither company offers a refund or replacement! Dicks sold me dangerous equipment and they could care less. Treadmill would just jerk to a stop with no warning!

I went to Dicks in the Chicagoland area and wanted to purchase some white Sox merchandise they barely had anything but they had a whole section of chicago Cubs I couldn’t believe it would be that obvious they favored one team more than the other

I just bought a kayak for my husband for Father’s Day, and the employee, his name is Nate, was so helpful. He went above and beyond. He has amazing customer service skills. He helped us with the instructions about how to put our kayak ourselves. Dicks sporting Good from Woodbridge VA. Happy customer: Vicky McEwan

I experienced the worst service I've ever had in recent memory at the Dick's Sporting Goods store in Cedar Park. I was gifted a pair of vert nice OluKai Men's Hokua Sandals and went in to pick them up. As I came to the counter and the person finally found my order... they looked too small. I asked to try them on and they were indeed WAY TOO small. I asked if I could exchange them for a larger pair of the exact same shoes. I was told yes and to just go into the store and find the larger pair. When I came back the same person at the counter asked me for my credit card. I told him this was just an exchange from a gift to me. He said that he canceled the order and that I now needed to pay for the item. REALLY? A supervisor came over and immediately told me it was my fault because I didn't tell them the whole story. I was never given the chance to tell my story... I was told to go and exchange them! Well, I ended up having to call the person who bought me the shoes, but the supervisor said that because the credit card he used was an online order that he would have to come into the store (PHYSICALLY) to bring in his credit card. WHAT????? They were treating me as if I were some kind of thief. I ended up just buying the shoes myself. Thanks to Dick's- I had to pay for my own gift for my birthday. I will never give Dick's my business again. It seems that since the pandemic they are only good with online orders and have absolutely no customer service skills. What ever happened to the customer always being right? Their policies have turned the customer into feeling like a criminal. There are plenty of other places to go to for Sporting Goods... I suggest you try somewhere else and never set foot in their establishment.

We was very pleased with the service we received from Dick's Sporting Goods store in Medford, MA. All the employees were very helpful with our needs from the moment we walked into the store. We had employees approach us asking if we needed help (which we did and was provided). We appreciated all the team work with the employees. We will definitely be back i the future.

Tried calling customer service about a return and was told I can not return the bat I just purchased for my daughter. I called the 866 number and spoke with a jessica and she said that they can not take the bat back even though it has only been in my possession for 4 hours. All she said was I am sorry its company policy and then hung up on me. I am out $500 and a bat that my daughter can not use. Horrible customer service. I definitely will not be going back to the Scherreville Indiana location or ordering anything from them.

Treadmill delivered yesterday. Immediately before walking out the door, installers informed us that it would be $30 for them to take the box. Dick's website says: Room-of-Choice Delivery & Assembly Your item will be delivered into the room of your choice, including one flight of stairs up or down. Your item will then be unpacked and fully assembled. All packaging will be removed after the assembly is complete. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/s/shipping-information Manager said salespersons are supposed to inform customer about this. Ours did not. Slip-up there. But the responsibility actually falls on corporate for lack of transparency/correct information on their website. Not happy!

This is for an online order. They did ship quickly which was great. The problem is in terms of quality control. The Nike adult charge soccer shin guards were a non-matching pair. They included a large L and M left shin guard. Unusable. The soccer ball they sent, the Nike Premier League Strike size 5, doesn't hold air and deflates overnight. At least the socks and shoes were the correct sizes and matching pairs. I would expect a little better in terms of QC as I had to purchase both new shinguards and a ball as my child needed them immediately. I don't have the time to ship them back to Dick's because it is a large inconvenience, so I guess I will just eat the $51 and not shop at Dick's again. 5 stars for shipping speed, 1 star for quality control. Buyer beware.

I went to Dick‘s The purchase of mountain bike in Summerlin, Nevada. It was the grand opening and they were completely unprepared and uneducated. It took me two hours just to keep getting information from someone about a bike and then actually purchase the bike. I knew what I wanted ,I said what I wanted, I pointed out what I wanted and still it took that long because the one team member who was in that area kept getting pulled away it continued from the moment I stepped into the bike department to the checkout. The customer service at that store is horrible. We do not have train team members in place with the right knowledge to help customers. It was beyond frustrating and I almost walked out four times I was so tired of waiting. Not the customer experience I had expected with this brand name store I will not be returning .Whoever the manager is at that store I suggest he trade more people and be more prepared for any kind of grand opening in the future

My experience with this store's "No Sweat Protection Plan" was bad enough to keep me from shopping here ever again. I bought an expensive baseball mitt for my son there, and they HARD sell the protection plan to you at the register, saying that its broad coverage that replaces your glove if its lost or stolen or damaged for any reason. Literally we were told the plan is basically "a free glove". Well three months later my son leaves his glove outside, and we get a freak winter storm for a solid week followed by massive thunderstorms the week after that. Glove is destroyed in the weather. So I filed my claim online, but rather than honor the plan it automatically routs you to a dead end screen saying they won't cover this because the manufacturers warranty is still in effect. The manufactures warranty covers manufacturing defects, not accidental damage. That's why I bought the plan in the first place. So now I call the plan to speak on the phone, but before I even finish explaining what happened, they tell me its not covered because it was damaged in a "natural disaster." I reiterated that this was a winter storm, not natural disaster. So he puts me on hold for awhile, and then he comes back and says its not covered because its not covered now because it was damaged by the weather which falls into the category of "dust, heat, and humidity." I'm a lawyer so I've read the policy and recognized the language he's quoting. It's from the definition of "breakdown"... which is literally the one and only thing that IS covered by this policy. I pointed this out. He disappears on hold again. Finally he comes back and says that now it's not covered because the only thing that's covered is "normal wear and tear." So never mind that "normal wear and tear", like "dust heat and humidity," is just one more of the five occurrences they list as the definition of a covered "breakdown". Another one is "unintentional and accidental damage from handling as a result of normal use of the product"... like a kid unintentionally and accidentally leaving his glove outside where it gets worn and torn in the weather. Long story short, this protection plan is a scam. They had no intention of covering anything at all for any reason. The plan reps didn't even realized that they were quoting covered conditions from the policy to explain why they won't cover the replacement for those very same reasons. I will not shop here again. This store will flat out lie to hard sell you a plan with no coverage at all through a third party scammer that Dick's surely knows to be a scam if they've googled their stores plan even once and seen the deluge of complaints. I'm now out $160 on a glove we used for less than five months just to feel taken advantage of after wasting an hour of my time trying to use their so called No Sweat Protection Plan. I wish someone out there would have protected me from Dick's Sporting Goods.

I purchased a jacket the beginning of February, received it within 5 days. It did not fit I returned it the very next day. A month later I still have not received my credit and I have made two phone calls following up on my credit and no one can give me an explanation. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever had returning a product and I will never purchase from your company again as you were quick to debit my account yet it's a hassel to get MY REFUND !

Your customer service is horrible. Whether it is through chat, 800#, or in person.....They do not listen or let you explain issues. They talk over you when you are trying to speak. They send you in circles and NOTHING gets taken care of. I have spoken with 5 different 'customer service' reps and they all read from the same script and treat people as if we are inconveniencing them. Ridiculous
