I didn't receive my order, Etsy and the seller don't answer my messages. I lost my money and they don't care.

Etsy is just awful! Never recommend sellers to contact them! I tried to open a store with them at the beginning of September, it wasted a lot of time and effort. And the money that was not returned to me! in a month and a half, they blocked me 3 (!) times, just for logging in from another device. Where is it written in their rules that this cannot be done? All letters of support are answered by a robot, in the sense that "you violated our rules and we closed you forever"! and these are all explanations. I didn't break any rules! The last time I was never unblocked and the "managers" wrote the same thing, only with the postscript of their name! They don't even read letters! And no explanation is given! For comparison, just out of interest, I wrote to ArtFire technical support - I received the answer to the question in 15 minutes and to the second letter too! From a human, not a robot! It is immediately clear who is interested in clients and who is wiping their feet on us. Etsy will soon lose all sellers and go bankrupt. Guys, Etsy can't exist without us. It is we who, by our labor, give him profit and the opportunity to exist. There will be no us - there will be no Etsy either. I go to another site and advise you.

Etsy do not support sellers, in any shape or form. They are just another greedy corporation profiting from vulnerable small business owners and their hard work. I am currently on day SEVEN of not being able to access my own store due to an Etsy technical fault. Promised an email every day; and it never comes. Live chat? Don’t even bother. Copy and paste responses will come at you from all angles. Meanwhile, Etsy are still happily taking money from my account to spend on ads, without me being able to pause or cancel them. Nor can I respond to any customer messages, nor can I ship any orders. This is entirely Etsy’s fault, but will they care once the lack of dispatching causes numerous customer complaints, disputes raised against my store and fees taken without authorisation? Nope! But I’m sure they’ll be the first ones to suspend my account and have a good laugh at the negative reviews they caused! Still thinking of becoming a seller? Please read on: • Pressured in to offering free shipping, with absolutely no financial support or incentives to do so. Not willing to take the cut which could essentially eat in to your entire profit margin? Bottom of the search ranks you go. (Same ridiculous fees though!) • Atrocious levels of seller support, if any. Penalised and threatened by Etsy for falsely raised customer disputes, false copyright claims, and anything else anyone would consider unjustified. • Disgustingly high fees, which are not properly communicated. • Customer service? None existent. Accidentally kicked out of your seller platform due to a technical fault on Etsys part? Oh well, sucks to be you! If you’re a buyer, please consider this when purchasing from a small business on Etsy. If you can, please visit their website directly to order. At least that way you know they’re not being exploited by this disgusting, greedy and selfish excuse for a company.

As a seller I would not waste your time selling on Etsy. I make money by sales to pay for food on the table to pay rent to pay for utilities but Etsy keep your money for 45 days before releasing it. You make £100’s with sales but you do not see a penny for 45 days as Etsy keep it and earn interest off your sales. AVOID AVOID AVOID AS A SELLER

I was looking for paintings of JesusChrist, and Etsy was the first website that came up. I went in and looked at the first painting, when I scroll to the next one there was a pornographic picture of a woman (who also seemed to have had a cut penis) and next to it a picture of a man masturbating. This is obviously ill-intended. And I was shocked! I was left speechless and completely confused at what was thrown in my face. The images were so disturbing! And the act of embedding something like that to a search that was completely the opinion nature was unbelievable. To clarify, this was not a spelling mistake in the search, the disturbing images were right next to the paintings of JesusChrist inside the website, Etsy. I’m an adult, and I’m ok. The scariest part is that I any child or teenager that has access to internet and uses it for wholesome searches and can go into websites like Etsy and run into nasty stuff that can actually really scar them. It’s very alarming!

Bought few items , was charged for all the item but got delivered only few items not the complete item that was bought and when told to seller the seller did not answer the messages nor refunded the money, seems like complete fraud, very disappointed and would not recommend this website at all.

Did business with them for many years as a seller and came back to start a new shop this year selling rocks. They banned me and gave me no reason other than 'terms and services'. Its rocks, a craft supply. Nothing fishy, nothing copyright. They also stole all the profits I'd taken in up to that point. Close to a half a year later and they haven't given me my money back. Do not work with them.

A publicly traded business with millions in turnover and a customer support for sellers that to define shameful, catastrophic and outrageous, is not enough to describe the lowest level at which it is. Team leaders and a Head of Customer Service who should be hiding. I have been trying to get an answer for 4 months, 4 months and in the meantime I work at my shop in total uncertainty. The cases are managed by different agents, a practice that already 15 years ago was branded as detrimental to the quality of the service. Every time a new agent jump into the case, they rarely read what the previous agent said, on top of this they provide partial answers on a rush and do not read carefully the original message, in this way they do faster and are able to fall within the company's key performance indicators, all at the expense of the quality of service for which CEO Josh Silverman should be hiding in a hole. In the meantime, with lousy support, the company introduces the Star Seller program (when a Star Customer Support Program?), A program that evaluates the quality of Etsy's sellers based on key performance indicators, some of which are not measurable and questionable, penalizing sellers who don't respond to customer messages within 24 hours, but forgetting that the world is divided into time zones and that customers don't necessarily write when the seller is awake.

The Etsy app will not allow me to use my smartphone to buy or review purchases on my phone. Etsy, stop taking half my screen with your app requests. I do not want your app.

There is no customer service. No word of a lie. Not an exaggeration. I have lodged tickets, I have sent e-mails, I have followed up by calling. And no response on my issue. The e-mails go unanswered, the support tickets are closed without any contact from Etsy. The off-shore phone customer support can’t even access the system to see what the issue is. They just tell you they will follow up your ticket, and then nothing happens. Hands down the worst costumer service experience I’ve had as a consumer in my entire life.

Not a legit company. Someone hacked into my Etsy account. 4 purchases were made. I contacted Etsy support but no response???? I contacted all of the sellers to cancel. Only 1 out of the 4 cancelled and refunded the amount back to my credit. The others dispatched the packages after I asked them to stop 3 days ago. I have had to contact my credit card to dispute the charges now on my behalf since Etsy wouldn’t do anything. It’s really too bad Etsy didn’t even have the decency to get back to me. Cancel your account now before this happens to you.

Etsy has struggled with quality control for years. I ordered two prints of Josephine Baker last year and they arrived a different size than what was listed on the item description and one of them was askew and had an uneven border frame. The seller patronized me and told me, "this is art," but I can't frame crooked prints. After much hassling I was able to return the crooked prints for a refund. I reluctantly returned to Etsy for my wedding sand ceremony kit and again there is no quality control across sellers. The hourglass I ordered arrived with visible sand remnants from when the glass was blown and the packing material is clearly visible at the bottom of the hourglass. I have contacted the seller and once I am refunded will be deactivating my Etsy account entirely. I wouldn't order anything from this website, unless you are looking for a headache. Consumer beware!

Etsy has to be the most awful site to use as seller, I’d advise any new seller to stay away from it. They are over priced with their advertising and it doesn’t bring you in anymore clients than if you just advertised on your own. Steer clear if you are a new shop owner. Also, there is no way to contact Etsy if need be.

I purchase total four times from Etsy. First 2 were nice experience besides the waiting time. But two times in August... I was scammed out of over $300 Canadians. The items never arrived. The sellers basically just stopped communicating. All Eyst help center does is to tell me to contact the seller or open the case. If you can't resist purchase from Etsy. Use PayPal for some insurance. You might get a chance to recover the payment if something goes wrong. Or prepare to lose your money. It sucks👎.

Low sales equals involuntarily closing your shop. Suspending account. I would use it to brand myself to my independent website and not pay Etsy. Terrible business model. This is why eBay still exists.

Etsy are thieves! My store was shot down with no explanation given, the customer service won’t talk. All the pending orders had been fulfilled and delivered with no issues and it’s been 5 months since Etsy has not sent me the payoff for those orders! If you’re the Etsy seller- beware! You’re nobody to this company! They make commission from your sales and don’t bother to treat you like a human.
