“I really believe in supporting British/English companies, but this German company takes some beating. As a 74 year old living on a pension, price and quality are very important to me. They also only sell British meat and dairy products and source many items from UK growers and food processors. Quick checkout and friendly staff, make me a fan.”
“Very stupid rules when you go shopping in lidl and Aldi with your wife not let you in one person at the time but in Asda Tesco and other supermarket you can go with many people you want is that from the government of they're own stupid rules well you live together with your wife does it matter ???”
“I just been to lidl Acre line, Brixton around 4pm on Friday 3 April, I'am tear. At this time we are all under stress at the self check out till the till stop scanning? I call for assistance, Assistant came and taught he was good time to insult me. I just asked if he could help so I can carry on scan, He came already opset, He came right next to me, I move away to let him sort the till suddenly out of the blue the Assistant start shouting saying get out of the store you are*** I am not going to repeat the insulting words he said, I was in chock to hear this even the people on the other tills were chocked and rebuked him.
Like that was not enough the Assistant took my shopping bag as it was still in the till and almost threw at me as I was there standing in chock.
I will never again shop in Lidl ever again, Lidl is the place where the staff think is Ok to abuse Customers. Never again.”
“5 weeks ago I was in the Malton North Yorkshire store. My turn at the till and the female assistant paused to blow the snotiest longer nose blow into a small tissue it was on her hands. Before she touched my shopping I said are you going to wash your hands! Or use a sanitizer? She was very rude and said no I don't have any and it's people coming in here that have given me this! In order to try to preserve the Lidle reputation i emailed customer services. I have not had a reply which has surprised me. If I had been working with the Environmental health department they would have been in trouble. Sort your customer service communication and staff hygiene and attitude out. Amanda Filey North Yorkshire”
“I recently visited my local Lidl store in Gorseinon, with the threat of covid 19 at the moment, it was very daunting. The staff there went above and beyond to assist me as I’m a disabled woman. The manager Rebecca was absolutely faultless as were the ladies on the till . Rebecca packed all my shopping for me. And also carried 2 quite heavy bags to the car for me . Fantastic staff . Thankyou xxxx”
“Went to pick in Taunton arrived around 10am no one waiting by the door I parked in a disabled bay no cones in the way I have health issues hence disabled bay is needed a member of staff came out said you can't park there I asked if it's possible to Park in mother and toddler bay as it's wider and near the door he said no park at the other end of the car park ovously disabled people are not needed there I said I'll use another store and left I haven't gone back.
If the store manager looked at his planed Kew he'd see it was inadequate, you face the door's entrance to The right exit to the left, disabled Bay's to the left mother and toddler Bay's to the right, it would make coming sense to have entrance Kew on the right, to keep the exit on the left clear, it would also allow us disabled to park and be able to get food .
I have trouble walking and standing for any length of time, hence need wide bay to open door to allow me to exit, it's close to the entrance needed as can't walk far, you should teach your staff in the are of understanding the health and safety on entering and exiting the store, also it might make us the disabled feel less unwanted in your stores. At least Asda and Tesco's let me Park in the Bay's allocated for the disabled customer's.”
“Bought a Parkside Greenhouse £39.99. Waited until the winds died down for 6 weeks. Managed to follow the basic instructions and assembled it. Within 2 days a puff of wind blew it over and it is in bits again on the floor. The securing pegs and string totally inadequate. Very disappointed with this product. Complete waste of money. It would be more secure with matchsticks.”
“Have never been treated so badly from a member of staff at a brand new Lidl, who shockingly turned out to be the manager. In these times when we should be kind to one another more than ever, this particular individual should be ashamed of themselves.”
“Yesterday Lidl sensibly limiting customers in, and then only essential workers from 7.30am with ID. That's a good idea, but the manager let in her friends who I know are unemployed, they then went onto load up their trollies.
I can't see anything on website about new shopping hours, it's needs to be published, and then customers can challenge staff who are abuxing it.”
“Just been informed that a Male customer managed to buy 23 whole chickens at LIDL Ryhope, what the heck is going on...surely this cannot be right as just the other day a woman was refused all of her dairy products as she had trays full in her trolley and ended up with being allowed to purchase about a 1/5th. Get a grip LIDL, be seen to be fair across the board.”
“What do you mean what went wrong, well your brand of Newgate Soups are now watered down & are tasteless, it's a shame was a good product until a week ago, second tin I opened of Carrot & Coriander but again it was like water not like the ones before. You have made a nice product into a rubbish one.”
“Why have your Newgate doors been watered down the are now tasteless. You haven't lowered the price in fact the prices have gone up. Your range of Newgate soup is now rubbish, low quality & tasteless.
Opened a tin of Carrot & Coriander soup last night it was like eating brown water discussing taste.
Well you ruined a nice range of soups. Better look for a new brand.”
“On the 22nd January I bought a 180g pack of cold water prawns from Lidl and it only contained 159g of prawns . Tweets and emails to customer services and a request from them for my email address, which I supplied remain unanswered.
I also contacted customer services by telephone on 27th February and was assured that I would receive a response within 10 days. I did not.
I purchased another pack this week and that only had 163grams of prawns.
I rang again today and was assured I would receive a response by the end of today. I am not surprised that I didn't.
No contact, other than requesting my email address, from them in 7 weeks.”

“Amazing selection of fruit and vegetables! Promotes healthy products. What I love about Lidl’s is their bakery and how they manage to make delicious bread and pastries and how they handle making it clean and sanitary. I also love the meat selection aswell and the chef select sections. Also I love how in lidl they never put up unhealthy snacks on display and basically hide away all their chocolate 😂, they also have great prices! Better than any other uk super market!”
“Kireen manager in grosshill swindon he has no respect to customers asking for to pay for 1 pistecio price of full pack I paid for it he started argument besides this there was so many pistecio on the floor manager is not bothered about that at all.”
“Lidl currently building their new HQ in Tolworth/Surbiton road works causing mayhem & chaos to locals. Not a good impression, already a nightmare neighbour. There are no Lidl or Aldi stores in the area.Aldi you would be more than welcome.”
