I visited this store this evening around 9pm today to purchase 4 pepsi bottles and 4 bottles of beer. 22nd June 2019. I suffer with carpal tunnel syndrome and sometimes struggle to pick up heavy items. I placed carefully 4 bottles of pepsi and 4 glass bottles of perlenbacher lager into my own large shopping bag and dragged them to the checkout. I explained to the cashier serving that I couldn't lift these heavy items and gave her a single bottle of each for her to scan and explained how many in my large bag I had, which by the way were very much visible plus your store manager saw me do this in the beer aisle. The cashier who only works once a week was rude to me and pushed passed me to check my bags. I am not disputing that she had a right to do so to prevent theft etc, however she didnt ask to check or even suggest that was her intention. I told her that I had nothing else and she gave me a look of disgust. I am a regular customer in that store and this is the 2nd time in 5 months that I have been made to feel victimised in this way in your store. The first time was regarding the security guard nick who thinks the store is his own and is a bully. Even your staff members, the nice ones agree with me. Anyway back to the matter. Your employee unpacked my bags, scanned all the items in my bag although I provided her with a single one of each to scan along with the quantity and she just dropped all 4 bottles of Pepsi ontop of the glass bottle. I'm annoyed by this point because I packed the bags to be able to leave the store so it was easier to carry out and she didnt care about the way she repackaged my bags upon assuming I was a thief. At this point I've told her about this and she shrugged her shoulders and said it wasnt her problem. I then walked out of the store, placed my items in my vehicle and returned to the store to get a replacement bottle as it was broken as a result of her incompetence. Your store manager at this point was assisting her with another customer and she took my bags off me as they getting the floor wet because the cashier broke the bottle. She denied doing this and denied that I explained I was struggling in the first place. Your manager was also very rude and it was only the nice male colleague who helped to diffuse the situation. It's a joke and both the cashier and the manager are complete and utter assholes. They have no clue how to speak to people and also made it clear that she was doing nothing about it. I purchased 2 bags on a previous visit and had to leave them there due to the broken glass within the bags and the beer too. I only had a replacement bottle and not replacement bags. I used to work for the warehouse in bridgend and always praised lidls for their products and store cleanliness and staff etc but this store in Newport house the worst staff I have ever encountered in my entire life.

When I bought nuts at Lidl Peterborough on 18th June around 12:45pm, I could have returned then in an instant . These were loose nuts, 3 different kinds. I tasted each kind (there was no notice saying I couldn’t taste or mix them for myself )They all cost £1.30/100g. So I scooped them in the same bag! They’re mine aren’t they? When I got to the till, the cashiers first question “why did you put them in the same bag?” I said, they cost the same and they’re mine to take home. Next question, “How do you think I’ll do the itenerary? I said I didn’t know. Third statement, “I also saw you snacking “. By now I’d had enough! How I professional, what customer care service training are these cashiers given???

In a hurry. Bought 2 crumbed haddock pieces...£1.79 ...I should have known better....very cheap and very poor...possibly 2ozs of some kind of fish in the crumb...possibly last seen the ocean several years ago. Why not get some decent haddock and double the price? Why sell such rubbish at all?

False advertising. Lidl used an image of a highly sought-after plant in their online listings and paper ads. About a dozen of us checked around 30 Lidl branches across the UK, and none of us found the plant. We have a feeling Lidl never meant to offer it and instead wanted to draw people to their stores.

Got. £90 parking ticket for been 26mins over the parking limit. Which is a big as a fly on a sign. With 60mins limit not 90 mins as the express newspaper stated.

Lidl, Coventry Rude staff, no eye contact, they never make you feel welcome. Rude, stupid, and unprofessional security guard. The bakery section is absolutely disgusting, dirty tongs, and flies all over.

Appalling customer service. Why do you not publish all your reviews especially the poor ones? I posted one, you claim that you will send an email to verify the email address but don't and so the review is not published appalling behaviour. Sadly as you wont send an email to verify this review this one probably wont appear either!

Your fresh vegetables don’t have much of a long life when I get them home Just how long after you pick them do they appear in stores? Why do you sell stuff that is only while stocks last ? Can’t you get regular supplies

Not UK Lidl but Slovakia doesn't have a review site for Lidl. They sell rotten parmesan cheese. This happened few times already. Well under the expiry date. Once the package is opened, one can immediately tell this is what is happening. And it's not cheap either. If they are capable of selling rotten cheese to people, I'm not certain what else they are capable of. I don't trust them anymore. Slovak state food regulatory body should pay them a visit a impose a hefty fine on them for such practices. MINUS 100 STARS

I’ve been to Lidl near Blackpool yesterday and I’ve got a bone of lamb I’ve opened the packet and it didn’t smell good so we’ve cooked it thinking nothing about it and we had it in the oven between 2 to 2 and half hours and after pulling it out the oven letting cool over night came to prepare it today for dinner and it smelled Evan awful so we looked at the packet and and it was covered with terminated blood so we went to take it back explained to the lady at the till and blood spilled on the cover belt so she had to stop other customers from putting anything on the cover belt as it’s terminated also the manager came out so we got hour money back for it so I’ll never again shop at Lidl or Aldi

Worst Store ever (SLOUGH), poor customer services, rude arrogant managers, treat customers and staff so poorly it has never heard of or seen before. Savings are not worth it, as the cost of these savings are being paid by workers who are regularly overworked and treated like animals, and customers who are constantly insulted at the checkouts. Manager does not talk, he just barks! unbelievable they are surviving and getting away with this in a civilised society or may be poor has no entitlement to be treated with respect. An awful shopping experience. LIDL shame on you for penny pinching and shameful practices. SLOUGH manager should be named and shamed, he takes no responsibility of his actions. Please make your voices heard or they will continue this awful behaviour.

2019 If you are desperate for some cash then it is an easy job (once you figure out for yourself how everything works as the training is terrible). When I worked there the staff were very rude and I heard a lot of them saying horrible things about new people behind their backs. It then makes you wonder what they have said about you.  Staff who have been there for years get away with talking for ages (sometimes up to half an hour) whilst others have to pick up the slack and get told off for even speaking to another colleague. The staff turnover here is unbelievable too. You'd think they would makes some changes, but no. Not the place to work if you value your sanit The management it's treating people like a rubbish.
