“On the 22nd January I bought a 180g pack of cold water prawns from Lidl and it only contained 159g of prawns . Tweets and emails to customer services and a request from them for my email address, which I supplied remain unanswered.
I also contacted customer services by telephone on 27th February and was assured that I would receive a response within 10 days. I did not.
I purchased another pack this week and that only had 163grams of prawns.
I rang again today and was assured I would receive a response by the end of today. I am not surprised that I didn't.
No contact, other than requesting my email address, from them in 7 weeks.”

“The car park is not safe. I had a puncture in a tyre when leaving because it was so dirty. Then I over stayed waiting for someone to fix the tyre. When I received the parking notice I went to complain, Poor customer service I got mixed messages from members of staff, from one side it was possible to canceI the ticket from another side I was told is not possible I have to contact the parking company directly. Then I asked to see the manager. I was told to wait for the manager who was in a "meeting " in a lidl backroom??? For 40 mins, I waited for an hour but he never came and the body language of members of staff showed they were lying there was something fishy. "No help". Anyway just be aware what to expect when you drive to shop in ldl. Customer service 👎👎👎”
“I purchased a turkey at lidl with a sell by date of 26th dec. When i went to cook it it was rancid and slimy. No xmas dinner for my family this year . Thank you lidl. They refunded my money and customer services were apologetic and promised to send me some vouchers as my day was ruined ! A month later and they have duly arrived. 15 pounds was all my distress was worth to them. Needless to say i will not be shopping there anytime soon”
“My mother purchased a stand alone oven a few years ago. By chance on moving it we discovered that it had burnt a huge hole in the wooden work surface. It could have set the house in fire. Lidl’s response is that they do not know what happened, apparently it should not be placed on the standard wooden surfaces you buy at bbq although the instructions do not say so, and they will do nothing to compensate or warn users. Please beware of the silver crest oven. I am reporting the matter to trading standards. This is a fire waiting to happen.”
“Rancid turkey at Christmas. Returned receipt to customer service but just sent. £15 voucher. The turkey cost more. Why do I want vouches when I will not shop there again. Very poor customer service. Sent a letter with receipt but no reply for over two weeks so telephoned. Hence the vouchers! Terrible service. Can’t rate star as not working. They have enough one star most probably.u”

They have subcontracted out the car park to a company, who have done everything in they power, to extract extortionate sums of money from customers, who are unaware of the arrangement.
On the top of that, they don't even know whats a meaning of customer service is!!
Absolutely terrible store and a company overall.

“I visited the new Lidl in Witham Essex today. I emptied my small trolley and moved level with the assistant. She asked if I’d got anything else in my trolley. I looked at her quizzically as I didn’t understand what she meant. It then ‘clicked’ - she was asking if I’d got anything left in my trolley which I was hiding under my carrier bags (I actually didn’t put the bags in the trolley until it was empty!) I told the young lady that I was insulted to be accused of stealing. She was very apologetic and said she had to do it ! I felt embarrassed and humiliated. I asked to speak to a manager. He told me that some people were walking out of the shop without paying for items - I responded by telling him that I didn’t steal, and it was disgraceful! I don’t know of any other supermarket which carries out this humiliating practice.
Suffice it to say, I will never visit Lidl again! Having spoken to family, friends and work colleagues about the incident, they too will not be visiting Lidl!”
“Good afternoon OnSaturday 23rd November 2019 ,I visited the new Lidl in Harrow and I had a unpleasant experience eg- health and safety was far from right there was only one fire exit and there not enough cash tills people where getting frustrated and having arguments. too many people where entering the premises when there was no room and the security didn’t look professional.I have left this review to inform you about my experience thank you”
“The Isle was blocked, and a female worker then blocked it even more, with a trolley, type, not cage, unloading more, items by not even Allowing people to get past so I said to my children I'm going to have to do a detour to get over to the other side, as it was heavily blocked, the lady heard this and said out loud, when I moved away, people of today are so rude, I did not here her I was told by my partner the lady didn't realise she was with me, i then saw the Lady in a different aisle, going into the back, the lady eventually saw me and stopped looked at me, and I said I am not rude, I was not talking to you or looked at you, she walk down to me and approached me so I told her I can't get a bout, the shop everything is blocked, but I didn't say anything to you, as you know I didn't even go to you, I turn away and walked on, she then followed me and she was going on and on, she said I am working, I said I am shopping, and then looked away, again to the products, so i said just leave me alone, and tried to carry on, and then I said I don't want to talk about it, but she continued, shouting at me only to get everyone on approaching me, yes my voice was getting louder because I can't believe how I was being treated, I said look on your camera to the manager, but he was uninterested, and was rude in his manner, and did not care what I was trying to explain, oh so just believe your staff then check your camera, and I was told to leave, but I said I haven't done anything, check your camera, but the security guard got a till open for us to go, and told me to zip it, or you will be banned from the shop, then i payed and he spoke to me out of the shop and said I don't know what happened but me and my family are banned from the shop don't ever come in again, I said look at the camera and you will see I never approached her, or said any bad remarks, he then said, that I was attacking his staff, and said to me I don't care, just leave, the staff are rude at this store, they made the situation worse, and only believed the staff member, every aisle was a Hazard, stock everywhere, and this is typical not just for Christmas, the treatment was unnecessary, even a woman outside was agreeing with me, and she was not in the shop yet, as if she knows the security guard has been rede before, so definitely problems with the staff, not everyone complains enough, but my family two children were told to get out. My partner told me when we got home the female woman told the staff I swore at her which is totally rubbish, I did not thank you very much. If I was doing anything bad to this lady, then surely they would not give me time to pay for goods, plus the Lady followed me, Lidl Ringwood Road Bournemouth date 23/11/2019 time 13.34 on receipt”

When a Parkside drill set on fire, Lidl not only failed to replace it, they took it back, failed to issue a replacement or refund, and for weeks on end refused to reply to calls or emails.
Right now I have no drill and no reply from Lidl.

“Bought Deluxe steak & long clawson blue stilton pies. Very poor as it was a case of hunt the meat of which there were 3 small bits in one pie and NONE in the other. Made a complaint on line and provided scans of the packaging, barcode and batch details 2 weeks ago. Had an automatic acknowledgement but heard nothing since. Very disappointing response (or lack of it)”
“Tried the deluxe new chicken and chorizo pies. Very poor product doesn't look anything like the box. Cheap tasteless pastry, but worst of all found pieces of bone in the chicken.”
