Visited lidl last week and ask one of their staff members where their tinned beans are and no one could seem to help me locate where they were, which left me really upset.

Used their store for the first time. Bought loads as I work 70+ hours a week and got behind on shopping. Later on I looked at my receipt. They charged me for 38 bags of crisps when I bought one!!!! Didn't notice as I'd spent a fortune. Numerous emails back and forth and a letter arrives with a refund for the 37 bags I'd been overcharged. No explanation. I explained I am ridiculously busy and haven't got time to go back to the store. Still trying to sort it. Wouldn't recommend one bit. Spent time trying to sort this when I have better things to do.

I bought some tins of stewed steak for a pie. It was completely inedible and had to throw it all away, just full of fat & gristle and big chunks of lard. I would say more appropriate to dog food, but i wouldn't even give it to my dog. I had 3 tins because i always like to have a stock of this kind of thing in the winter, opened all 3 tins and exactly the same. Disgusting for Lidl who are usually very good. Ugh!

Every time (I think three times) I visit Lidl there is always a bad mouth customer service person ready to ruin your day. My conclusion is the assistants themeselves have the inferior complex about the Lidl itself and it is reflected on their behaviour and externalised on customers. They see customers as cheap as cheap as their own perception towards Lidl. Awful experience, never again rather pay more than ruining my day by going there. Cheap store cheap attitudes.

I went to the Lidl in Harwich to pick up a newspaper and have a look around - a soul-destroying experience. Poor range of food, the centre of the store filled with bins of tat, only one till open with no express option. When I finally got served, I was told they don’t accept my Times voucher. Truly dreadful.

Went to lidl, the one next to outdoor persuits centre,Leicester, then a man was cutting past a worker who was putting up bananas, with a trolley he went past a worker and the worker raged at him saying "oy! You can go around me or if you don't understand how to do that get out the shop the doors are there". The man was foreign and clearly did not under stand what went wrong while the worker screamed at him. The till man was rude and did not want to say manners.both of them did not care for the coustomers, they wanted us to buy something or get out. The worst thing was they were the only ones in the shop in charge and clearly should learn how to run a shop.the till man reported to the rage man that some one came through the exit and he immidietly removed him and let out a big tut. We were fed up and scared so we left. Next time I will go somewhere more friendly and calm.

Purchased "premium turkey" 22nd dec. Opened it to cook on 26th found to be foul smelling and rotten. In the bin. Went to Sainsbury's to buy another. Will never go back. Most unsatisfactory £45 I have ever spent.

I need to refer to the unfriendly attitude of some of the staff at #lidl in Leamington Spa, Myton road. A view shared by many friends, I know ,,,no hello ,,no thank you !!!! Not like other supermarkets staff. They need customer service training. behaving rudly sometimes with customer’s , including passing snappy remarks as though your very presence deeply inconveniences them..That certainly put many of the shoppers off.

I purchased Thermal Jeggings in a size larger than I normally wear. They were much too small. I lost my receipt and took them back to the store where I was told to ring Customer Service. I was told that the size guide is on the website!! HELLO! Who checks online before a purchase??? I was told that without a receipt I could not return them or get a credit. Company policy not to accept any returns without a receipt. Am I to believe that I am the first person to have lost the receipt. So now I am out of pocket for a badly labelled clothing item. I am very unhappy.

Lidl Midland Way Nottingham - Needs competent management.... Friday 4.50 p.m 16th November -two checkouts open plus self service - long queues. 5.10 pm finished shopping and all three queues now reach halfway along store length - still only two checkouts open - two staff talking to each other near self service queue plus a guy hovering near a closed checkout... Didn't want to grow old waiting and left trolley of shopping. Asked security guard outside the store if there was a shortage of staff and a male member of staff standing alongside smoking a cigarette said 'No mate - there will be more staff on soon! Soon wasn't quick enough for us - we did our shopping at Aldi just up the road - very quick with six checkouts open. This store is fine but this level of service is happening more frequently nowadays..... and bear in mind if arriving by car - park between the lines and not over them as there is a guy with a camera who will arrange for you to be fined the equivalent of a weeks shopping - Lidl of course deny its anything to do with them

Disgraceful. Was in the new lidl in Bulwell Nottingham. The place is dangerous. Cut my head on a sharp piece of metal on a shelf. Reported it to a nearby assistant. Had a poor no care attitude. Disgusting

On Monday 11th June 2018 at 15.20 I visited the Lidl shop in Madeley, Telford.. I picked up two items that had 30% reduced labels on and proceed to the checkout. Upon paying I realised that I had not been charged the amount for the items that was printed on the labels. I asked the cashier why this was?. I was told that the shop had run out of labels and was reusing the labels from a previous reduction but that 30% had been taken off the items original price (despite it stating a different amount on the label) and she couldn't do anything about it. I said I didn't think knowingly mis-pricing an item was an acceptable practice and asked to speak to a manager. Eventually a manager arrived (with no name badge on) and although she did give me a refund was extremely rude to me and repeatedly denied the shop was in any way at fault. I asked for the managers details and despite saying she would give me them repeatedly went on to explain how the shop wasn't at fault. After 4-5 more requests for the her name I was ushered away from other staff & customers I was then asked "Tell me why you have got a f***ing problem with me?". In utter disbelief, I again asked for her details, and said if she didn't give me them I would take her photo so that I could make a complaint. After yet another refused request I took the photo at which point she physically refused to let me leave the store and called a security guard who blocked my exit. I then asked if I remove the photo from my phone if she would give me her details, the manager again replied "yes" but once the photo was removed she still refused to give me her details!. I was verbally abused and sworn at in front of customers as I left the store and was told I was banned. I went to the trouble of reporting this incident to Lidl themselves and rather than address the incident with the member of staff they have confirmed my ban from this store without giving me any explanation. Lidl Customer Services have shared information about this complaint with unrelated members of staff who have then attempted to troll me on social media. Further underlying the complete lack of any standards at this company. This company will never receive my money again and quite frankly they don't deserve yours!

For years, every so often I would visit the local Lidl, to pick up assorted goodies at what seemed good prices and, on occasion, when the draw of their South African Cabernet Sauvignon, their chocolate aisle, their prawn crackers, and even on occasion, their 3-ply loo roll and cheap but good aubergines, was enough to outweigh the thought of their overly-long till-queues, I would visit again. But then they tried to pack in more shelf space, more customers were drawn to the shop and they swapped out a couple of manned till for a bank of auto-tills, and, over the least few months, the draw has been virtually non-existent: the pros were never outweighed by the cons. Then, last night, after promising to pick up my wife from a friend's house at around 11.30pm, before seeing out to pick her up, I found we were low on milk and bread and that the Lidl en-route closed at 11pm. As I drove to near the Lidl at around 10.50pm, I then saw, contrary to its normal fullness the car park was virtually empty, so I quickly parked up and rushed about the store to by some milk, wine, bread and chocolate. The only tills pen at this time were the self service ones and the only interaction I has with any assistant was when one had to come over to confirm i was of sufficient age to buy wine. At NO point, did anyone alert me to the fact that in the previous month or so, Lidl had contracted out management of its car park to a predatory ANPR/CCTV enforcer, who was now likely to issue me a penalty because, when I drove out of that car park, I had not scanned my receipt and entered my car registration into their machine. I learned about this after picking up my wife and, overnight, it really annoyed me, especially as, this morning, instead of going for an early swim, I spent time instead talking to Lidl customer service when it opened at 8am. However, instead of saying, 'Oh, don't worry, let us sort that out for you', the woman at the other end said, 'well we do have signs up around the car park and in the store you know!'. The attitude stinks! I then contacted customer service by email and the response was about keeping hold of the receipt and what to do to try and appeal, if their contractor, Athena ANPR Ltd, issues me with a 'Parking Charge Notice'. If Lidl's attitude to its duty of care to look after customers in this area, extends to how it looks after the food customers purchase, I fear for the nation. They will know who I am. They will soon know also to regret this example of appalling management culture. Yesterday, I posted a very similar review to this one on Trustpilot, where many of the most recent reviews have been one-star, like mine. I am intrigued to find out if this review survives in this space, which seems a rather contrarian sea of positivitiy, Is this truly a fair representation or is there some kind of slant here, so as to be able to farm revenues from the reviewed entities? Whatever, corporate need to understand their duty of care to customers and, if they fall prey to feedback unfairly skewed to the positive, they will be less well informed about mounting problems and ultimately their fall from grace is likely to be sharper and swifter. Businesses need to know when they have taken a wrong turn, especially with governance and service matters and here, I think Lidl needs a massive and urgent correction. Until then, beware!

Come off it!! We do not want any self service checkouts anywhere. Period. Do you know that the price of paying someone to check out your goodies is factored in to every single item you buy? You are in fact paying them to use their self service checkouts. If they want us to use them then offer a discount to people doing so. There is more though. For every self service checkout someone is out of a job. Think about it if you really care and do not use them. Are you sure you really waited 20 minutes or are you mistaken? Apart from all this Lidl are a pretty good company to shop with as long as you realise that any cheap food will not be all that good quality. Just be careful what you buy. Be thankful you were not in Aldi!!

There company is very in trustworthy as they 'rob' people.Once I went to the self check out and I was due to pay £17.51.I put in £17.01 as I was 50 pence short my decision was to put in £20 in note so I would have £19.50 change. The machine did not except the money so I called a store assistant t help me. They did something on it and all the machine gave out ONLY £2.01(Note; Before this I put in £17.01 NOT £2.01)They took the money and moved me to another cashier and in the end giving me £4.50 of change. Once I explained the hole situation to the store manager, Amanda, and around 5 other store assistants and all they said to me was that they cannot do anything now so they would call next morning and give me back my £15 that got lost in the process. For the next 4 days nobody called me to deal with the issue. The next day I came there,i found the store manager once again to ask where is my money, she told me that they counted the money and there was no spare. So then when I asked her for her name she refused t give it to me took me to another manager. She told him about the situation and then just ran away behind a cash machine and was watching what was going on., and he told me TOO that there was no spare money. So once more I asked him for his name and he refused to give it to me, took of his ID card, hid it in his pocket and ran away too to where she was standing.SO IN THE END I NEEDED UP FAIRLY DISAPOINTED AS LILD IN SOME WAY STOLE MY MONEY AND WERE VERY RUDE BY JUST RUNNING OF TO SOMEWHERE AND NOT PROPELY EXLAINING TO ME WHAT HAPPEN.THIS IS EXTRIMELY UNREASONABLE OF THEM!!!!!!!
