Book automatic car few days before holiday, when I come to pick up it just before go out next morning, I have been told that they don't have it for me. Scamers! They used the company Europcar to provide the car for me and Rentalcars forget to put in ordering documents that should be an automatic. They completely don't car about customers. Only the Europcar try to help me in that situation and they did.

Horrible service, its better to book directly with the car rental company. Should anything go wrong and for me it did several times you are screwed. They will not cover your back in any case. They got their commision and that is all they care about. Even if you provide solid proof such as pictures, documentation they will reject any complaint you might have. STAY AWAY its not worth the trouble.

Watch out! They are thiefs! We booked an automatic audi TT already paid so that we get it in the airport of Bologna once we arrive. We were outside Herz at 7.50 but the office was closed so went for a quick coffee before we are back at 8.10 and we line ourselves in the queue. When our turn came 8.35 they asked us to call Rentalcars so that we change main driver's name cause I had not a credit card. Rentalcars told usctgat the pick-up time had passed and tgey good not do anything. Both Herz and Rentalcars refused ironically to help us with very poor reasons and tgey reached to the point to tell us that we had lost our money! They were robbering us in front of our eyes and they were trying to explain it to us! They even had the courage to tell us that they are going to make an exception and offer us the opportunity to book from scratch another car! Or in other words to trust them and repay them since we were satisfied from the first booking we did !?!?! Guys this is an honest comment and please take it seriously cause both they are not to be trusted! This took place on 25/10/2019 at Bologna airport Herz office between 7.50 and 8.50 in front of cashier 1. I am telling you the truth. Do not trust any of the two companies cause they seem to be professional thiefs!

Rentalcars charged me the double price, that they originaly showed me before. I was not able to cancel the booking when i realised it, because i already was in the car. I would never ever book at any price at this company again. This was one of the worst experiences in my life. It totally ruined our holidays.

One of the worst companies I ever dealt with. Stole £100 from me for a £77 rent, without a reason or even an explanation. And to add insult to injury, their online customer service doesn't even try to help and the phone customer service just disconnect you. It's been a month now and I got nowhere. DON'T USE THEIR SERVICES!!!

I made a reservation with Rentalcars.com, at Athens airport, car provider company was Gold Car, (I made my booking at the very last minute prior to my departure). once I arrived at the terminal there were neither was an office nor reps. I asked the information desk how can I get them they said they had to give a name and contact number, where I didn't have it. I have found the Gold Cars number called 3 times waiting on the line for 20 minutes in total. So I tried to call Rentalcars number, the number on the voucher didn't work. On my IphoneX I have tried to use live chat, but it didn't work as well. Lastly, I sent them an email, where they sent the voucher, I replied that email, it doesn't says no-reply this email, Rentalcars.com. The email has not returned back which meant it went through to the right place. I was expecting them to call me but nothing has happened. I was stressed out 30 minutes at the airport with no support. I hired another car and tried to catch my meeting. Today I used their live chat on the computer, the rep hangs up the chat screen. I asked for a customer support number they just wrote 0333 003 5609 we supposed to know where this company has been based, and know the country code, even I asked for it, they didn't provide. Now they are saying that they cannot refund my money. I am stressed out, with no support, very BAD BAD experience. BEWARE from this company. If you come across a problem you will be alone, no support!!! Never ever again I am not going to use it.

Very poor, avoid these fraudsters. I hired a vehicle with them for a trip to Malaga. I arrived at the airport and was waiting over an hour with all my family for the vehicle to be brought from another branch. When the vehicle arrived we were sent on a wild goose chase around the airport to try and find Goldcars other office, with our 8 month old baby, elderly grandparent and all our luggage. When I returned the vehicle I filled the tank at the airport filling station to make sure it was filled to the maximum. Since getting home I have been charged for fuel and a refuelling fee as well leaving me around £100 out of pocket. Rentalcars are not interested and just keep repeating the same that I signed up to it. When I returned the car the keys were taken off me and when I asked about paperwork Goldcar staff said it wasnt necessary. This is the worst service I have ever had. Will be going with a reputable company next time I go on holiday.

For years I used Rentalcars to book cars worldwide with no problems. BUT now !? We booked a car fir two weeks with Rentalcars at Antalya Airport last September. With Full CDW. Although our flight was to arrive after 11.30pm. The car was from a company called Circular Car Hire. The rental contract stated “Fuel policy” as Full to Full. The car was handed over to us at past midnight in a dimly lit area outside the Terminal building. The Circular Car Hire agent told us the tank was an eighth full !! But would get us to our hotel. We didn’t know the way and he had no map if the area to help ! The following morning in daylight we could see the scrape damaged low down on the rear bumper. Both the scrapes and fuel should have been marked, by the agent on the Turkish Agreement documents ( which contained minute terms and conditions, mostly in Turkish ! ) They were NOT marked on the agreement ! On our return we found a charge on our Credit Card for £56.39 (369Tl). A charge we could not recognise as it was under a different name than Circular Car Hire ? When we queried all of this with Rentalcars (after all THEY chose this company ) they have been less than helpful. Telling us to contact the Turkish Car Hire company for a copy of the Agreement Account. While in Turkey TWICE I emailled this company about the Fuel AND the Bumper damage and they have never replied. So much for Rentalcars Customer Service.

Once I had booked my car, Rentalcars.com sent me the booking confirmation voucher and on it, it quite clearly stated that I could use my Debit card as a deposit to collect the vehicle. However, once I arrived to collect the car they said that Debit cards are not accepted and this resulted in me paying an additional 206-euro. Despite being written in black and white, Rentalcars.com would not accept any responsibility whatsoever. This company, are in my view a complete disgrace to their profession, devoid of integrity and should be avoided at all costs.

We aimed to hire a car with baby seats in Florence via rentalcars.com We gave 6 months notice . They emailed out a checklist which stated that one credit card was needed and also there was a link on the app labelled "Important information . Please read before picking up your car" This also stated that one credit card was needed. Pretty definitive right? Two direct communications one via email and one on the app. Well when we got to the desk of the company B Rental, they said we needed two credit cards. They also tried to sell us damage waiver insurance that we didn't need and then told us that they had no baby seats. So on two levels the booking was useless. Rentalcars.com refused to take responsibility for their inaccurate email and app communications and pointed us to the small print. Basically their communications are there to catch you out it seems. They offered us a discount without saying how much discount but also advised us to call well in advance to activate this undefined discount and also refused to say what "well in advance " meant. So therefore they were offering nothing concrete whatsoever. They have the worst communication and their customer service is shoddy and unhelpful in the extreme.

I had the misfortune of renting a car through booking.com/rentalcars.com. I got a great deal for a 2 week rental in London but when I got to the counter of Europcar the insurance I purchased through rentalcars.com was deemed insufficient and I was not allowed to take the car unless I paid an extra £700 which I did not have. Rentalcars.com STOLE $294 from me and would not refund it. I canceled that day and they gave me the run around for 2 weeks then finally said it’s not their fault and STOLE $294 from me.

Absolute joke of a company. Rented a car to be collected from Easirent Heathrow who were unable to provide the car, but apparently not entitled to a refuld from Easirent or Rentalcars. More of a fraud than a car rental website

I rarely write up reviews, but feel I should share how badly handled the customer service was with rentalcars following a booking 3 months ago. I had made a booking through Rentalcars at Sofia airport with Enterprise at 4am, rentalcars had my flight number and had ensured there would be a rep as they provide out of hours service. On landing, no rep to process our booking. I spent 2 hours trying to contact people locally from Enterprise and contacted Rentalcars who also tried to get in touch, nothing. As it was early there was only one other local hire car agency open, Rentalcars advised I could make a booking through them and they would reimburse the difference. Good service I thought. I even checked the price difference with them to ensure it was OK. 3 months later I'm still trying to claim this difference as promised on their recorded calls, they have tried to fob me off saying the flight number wasn't recorded but has been easily been proven wrong by me with their confirmation bookings. Completely dire service leaving me out of pocket.

I booked the car through rentalcars.com & they didn't show any information regarding the basic requirements, they accepted the payment & when I went for pickup at budget the person processed my booking accepting the indian driving license & asked for passport which I left at home. He asked me to get passport from home at my convenience while pickup & rest process is been done. When I came back for pickup travelling really long, the lady refused to accept the booking, saying they need international driving license. She refused even after explaining that international driving license is just translation of my Indian license (which was not required as the license I had was in English) & is accepted by other car rental companies. She told me that they are processing the refund & would receive the refund soon. After a week I asked them for refund & they told me that please contact rentalcars as the booking was through them. I asked rentalcars & they told me that you won't be able to get refund as you failed to provide international driving license. Even after explaining that international driving license is just translation of my Indian license (which was not required as the license I had was in English) & is accepted by other car rental companies, still they are not processing the refund. In my opinion this is a clear ripoff.

Received information from Rentalcars employees that was incorrect. As a result was I unable to receive the car I rented when I went to pick it up. I was unable to contact Rentalcars on the phone at the time, as I was kept on hold until 20.00, after which the line automatically disconnected. They subsequently refused a refund, claiming I had not attempted to contact them.

I was searching the internet at the beginning of April for car rentals in Florida. Almost immediately a web site, Rentalcars.com blocked my search. I tried to get rid of it, but popping up interfering with my search. Very aggressive website - technically excellent. Eventually, - as I assume it was a price comparison site, I accepted it's offers and I booked my rental car from 12 June to 31 July and accepted their offer of insurance policy. As soon as I gave my credit card details - assuming that I pay the deposit £200.00 only - the total estimated cost for the rental and the insurance, totalling £1457.47 was taken from my account on 9 April. This is more than two months before the rental was to start. (12 June) True, in their (Rentalcars.com) Terms and Conditions - seven pages, printed in miniscule letters - there is a vague reference, which says that: "as soon as the car is confirmed...… we will take the money from your card". It does not clarify whether they take the deposit or the full payment. While in Florida, I checked with leading car rental companies and I could have had a far better deal for both, rental and insurance. I hope that this information will be useful people who are looking for renting a car. Dear Mr. Gary Paxton (chief executive officer) one thing is sure, you will not find me among your customers again. Respectfully submitted, Michael
