They deactivated my account even tho I didn’t break any rules. Oh, and they can’t tell me why they did it cause of “professional reason”.

I have sold Dolce&Gabbana men’s coat, size 50. providing pictures of the label and tag. Providing measurements. My sale got cancelled. Quality control team has measured the coat in inches and stated that these measurements are in cm. While you can even see in the photo provided, that measurement is in inches, not cm. They said that the actual size of the coat is 44, while all labels are showing 50. And that shoulder length is 20cm, when it’s 20 inches. 20cm is child’s length, not men’s. My £500 sale got cancelled. Customer service did not apologise, ignored all the proof provided and did not escalate the case to management as requested. This case is outrageous. Don’t trust quality control there and don’t rely on customer service.

I had nothing but unpleasant experience with this platform. Customer service is non-existence, almost always took a day to respond without fixing the issue. Most recent experience being I had opted in the campaign with 4 listings only to shockingly find out they dropped price on two of my most expensive yet popular listings without my consent but not the 4 listings I had opted in. Customer service kept saying there’s no way to change price on their end and asked me to patiently wait until the campaign is over by end of October. This is hilarious and I even doubt if they intentionally dropped price on these two most expensive yet popular listings. Asked for an email address, nothing, asked to hav the ticket transfer to higher management, nothing, just the same incompetent agent replying back to you like a robot every 24 hours without actually actually understanding the issue at hand. Frustrated and disappointed!

Absolutely horrible company. I'd give them a NEGATIVE 5-Star if I could. I have been a successful eBay seller for over 15 years and have sold over 25,000 high-end items with 100% feedback and Top-Rated Seller status. I wanted to try Vestaire as a seller so I listed 2 items to test (2 brand new high-end jeans with tags. Regular price $200 and I listed for about $60) 2 days later my account gets suspended for "suspicious activity" After 3 weeks of emails they cannot be specific on the reason and refuse to reinstate my account. This is like throwing someone in jail and not telling them why. Something very fishy about this company.

I have to say I am totally appalled, I sold a dress, the buyer apparently fancied herself a UK size 10 (I did mention it comes smaller and would be more suitable for an 8) and managed to rip the hook and eye feature and bust a seam, the dress was returned to me not only with the damage (it can be fixed but why should I pay to fix it) but also reeking of a very strong perfume, which is seriously not funny since I am asthmatic and don't wear perfumes. I tried to get in touch with Vestiaire, the emails via the webform do not go through, chat initially responded then when I requested that they might switch off the direct shipping and fix the problem with mails not going through, George, who apparently is customer service simply stopped responding. Sellers, if you do sell with Vestiaire, you are on your own, maybe I should consider myself lucky that I got at least my item back and not a pair of old socks. Customer service helping you? Don't kid yourself

I’m certain the Saint Laurent coat purchased was counterfeit. What passes for “very good” condition is a joke. No returns. Buyer beware indeed.

Bought an item with awful smell, contacted customer service. Initially Vestiaire said they would issue return, but they did not issue me a refund and simply listed the item. Very disappointed. Just lost money for no reason.

I had a very unpleasant experience. A friend suggested me to buy a bag from them. I paid it and in a short time my account was suspended and I could no longer access anything

Hi I am a seller at VC but I got deactivated because apparently I don't sell Louis Vuitton or Chanel. Is that what your policy is when sellers come onboard? You de-activate them? I never heard of a platform that deactivates and blames sellers for not selling enough. What kind of a company are you? I have been selling on Vestiaire Collective for 3 years, all of a sudden I get an email from them saying that I barely sell and to knock on their door when I have Louis Vuitton or Chanel to sell? If I am not selling enough that's because your marketing team is not bringing enough traffic to your site. Ebay, Amazon, Poshmark, Grailed, Vinted I have been selling with them for years, not once have they deactivated my account because I don't "sell enough". All these platforms Ive mentioned above work with the sellers in order to be successful in selling. All Vestiaire Collective did was degrade me as a seller and blame me. Are you kidding me? On top on that you claim you are all for the environment and you stopped selling pre-owned items from Zara and H&M because they do alot of waste...... How ironic? You allow sellers to sell Louis Vuitton and Chanel but does everyone know that these high end luxury companies burn all their previous stock so no one like TJ Maxx or sellers can have any discount access to them? These high end luxury companies burn all their inventory, is that good for climate change then????

I will never use Vestiaire again - consistently the worst customer service. Both Vestiaire and sellers only look out for the seller rating not to be affected, if you ask to cancel an item within a few hours of order as the listing is misrepresented - you are on your own. The seller won't cancel as it affects nor the customer service will cancel. So, even if I am able to return the item for free as it's a professional seller, noone will help, they rather go through shipping the item, then having it returned --> I will never shop and Vestiaire lost a customer that spends thousands.

I was planning to buy an item with Vestiaire, but their sub-charges for delivery to the US were totally enormous, even VAT on 2nd hand goods, I did a reverse search and found the same item on eBay (I assume the same seller) much cheaper, even the delivery charge is less than half the price of what Vestiaire demands, I don't have to go through their annoying and frankly absolutely useless verification and pay for it, in short on eBay I paid $7 sales tax, no import duty as it is a preloved item, $25 for shipping, on Vestiaire I would have paid $245.68 for the same item that I bought for $131.43 on eBay. ALWAYS use reverse Google search of the pictures and skip Vestiaire whenever you can as they are not honest with the import duties and overcharge massively, unlike Vestiaire, eBay actually also has a real customer service you can reach.

My payment should have arrived last week, still not here, I am trying to write to them and I am supposed to get a confirmation email, tried 3 times now, no confirmation email, as usual their horrible software doesn't work. I honestly can't deal with their chat as they are absolutely horrible, leave you hanging for hours, don't know what is going on, give copy and paste replies and then disappear again. Since I have 2 more sales where I am waiting for my money, I am now seriously getting worried, especially since they are not reachable, I went through their stupid webform, NO CONFIRMATION, you can't email them directly, they have no phone lines.... A web based business that can't even keep their IT up to date so you can actually reach them?????

I m having a lot of problems with vestiare by almost 1 month. The rule is once the buyer or vestisre receive your item, they have exactly 72 hours to pay you. But its doesn t work anymore like that. Its written but they don t do it so I started to complaining, their customer service I m pretty sure its an ai,as the reply back its always or most of the time the proformal answer. So it looks like they took the payment and waiting that the weekend is coming so for example its written payment due estimated date today,or tomorrow its never done,so they don t pay you,you start to write asking g explanation, proformas answer or not answer at all, they wait for Friday and the estimated payment day becomes the Monday after. Its a sort of legal thing?so all the payment running to vestiare can be a fortune of bank Interest if holding by them even for 2 or 3 days extra. Legally they have to pay you as they write on the website but its no more true I m waiting for these last payment and I leave the website. I agree with who says that once the buyer receive your item, they use it for their weekend after they refuse the item and they don t pay so they really can dream with me to have 1 thing again. Any answer its proformal ,looks from an artificial intelligence Or they ask you to remove an item as I cannot send it from abroad and once come back following their instruction to reelist it,they don t accept the item asking for autentification, when they got it for 2 months shahah ridiculous really, its s joke. Now,as I know that they are reading all these reviews,I really hope they start to follow the 72 hours payment, without extension to the weekend and doing payment any day . I send on Monday I m expect the payment for Thursday Fridays as has been delivered on Wednesday or twesday. If a person contact the customer service is because there is a problem not because today I have no hobbies.ok? Paola

I listed a Chanel Vintage Item in a perfect condition, after waiting for quite a while I was asking for an status of the payment, they stated that it would take 3 days to complete the inspection , I send a screenshot of the 2 days according to their policy and waiting for an answer received a message that the item had a undone seam issue which was completely false ! they sent me a message requesting a 3 days notice to the buyer to decide, I decided to get the item back and stated in the message that I wanted the item in the same condition that it was sent, with no issues at all ! I told them that specific item was previously inspected by a high top retail in Houston with no issues ! We are very concerned about such a problem and still waiting for the item , not sure if they did it on purpose just to put my item out of the market or what….. what I know is that the buyer had the same item in a different size….we suspect there is something going on …..

They charge Australian customers “duties and customs” fee when none are payable to the government on the purchase. When questioned, I received a series of bizarre responses, claiming it was all kinds of things- VAT, GST, handling fees for the fees. At one point they promised to pay some of it back to me after purchase. This is fraud.

Be cautious when sending expensive items to Vestiaire Collective. There is a significant risk that their "quality check team" may damage your items during inspection and then claim the item was received in that condition. I sent a brand-new jacket valued at €2500, with the tag still attached. After their quality check, they reported a loose button. I sent them photos of the jacket prior to shipping, showing no such issue. After a three-day investigation, they claimed the button must have come loose during transit, which didn’t make sense. The only way the button could have become loose is if it was mishandled during their rushed inspection. They even refused to provide video footage to support their claim that the button was loose when the box was opened. As a result of their error, my sale was canceled, I received a negative review, and the jacket was returned to me with the loose button, which I had to repair myself. Be very careful when sending valuable items to them, as my experience shows they can be unprofessional and may not take responsibility for their mistake.

I have had some luck selling and buying there. My issue is with the USER INTERFACE. It is absolutely ATROCIOUS! You cannot even search for your items for sale. You have to scroll, sometimes and mostly if you have more than 10 items, I have about 100… There is no search function for sellers! And to top that off, it refreshes every time you're done editing one. So you must scroll again and again… You also cannot edit your pricing! You can only lower the price of your items. Even after it is approved to sell...you would have to delete it and relist it and wait for it to be reapproved..its just so annoying and slow! I realllllly wish they would take ANY CLUES from other selling sites and see how much cleaner the experience is! I would list WAY MORE if it was easier to list items and edit them. YOU ALSO CANNOT EDIT DESCRIPTIONS once listed
