Make sure you have a really good LEVEL concrete foundation. Make sure you have a mate to help you. Make sure you have at least 4 hours. Read instructions carefully and identify pieces BEFORE you start. It is very difficult to make it watertight once you have erected it against a wall! Good alternative to a wooden shed. We put a peg board on the back wall to utilize the space better. Didn't bother with a padlock. If someone wants to get in, they only have to undo a few screws on the side panel

Good website, ordering process and delivery. But I wish I had spent a bit more money on higher quality fence panels, so maybe more product information would have helped me to make a better choice

The guy who delivered the kit was Eastern European and didn't speak at all except to say sign when he had unloaded the truck. The kit itself was all there. One criticism I have is that the instructions should be more tailored to the kit. For example: There was a section devoted to the construction of the floor , which was not relevant as the kit composed of two parts already assembled. This applies to the side ornamental panels. This would allow larger pictures and instructions for the remaining processes and assist the constructor. Another point is there should be clearer instructions for the roof assembly, particularly regarding the position of the curved timber to the cog. Perhaps a timing mark{painted line} across the roof timber and cog to show exactly where the alignment is correct. Overall I am pleased with the result, but it took a bit of time to get the roof correct. One other point is I would suggest either paint or treat the wood prior to applying silicone or alternatively use acrylic sealant, so it could be painted over.

At first I thought this shed looked very flimsy and would not last but once built (I got a Professional to do it) I was really pleased. It's smaller than I thought but I am really pleased with it. I would advise it be fastened down as it is very light. I have had no problems apart from the lock bit is very small so can't put a big padlock on.

Delivery guy was excellent, offered to help carry it to garden. Instructions a little vague for some parts of assembly. Quality of product generally acceptable, a couple of timber supports were bowed which made it difficult to get completely square on front section. Overall satisfactory

I ordered the Shire 13 x 7 pressure treated shed with Skyguard roofing material. Delivery of the shed was fine but the Skyguard was delayed by about a week, no problem as it took me that long to erect the shed on my own. Communication with Elbec was overall very good, they called me finally to check the Skyguard had been received. Overall this is a lot of shed for he price and I was expecting to make some modifications. Some timber had warp issues, one panel was slightly larger than the others which meant I had to modify the assembly slightly. The instructions from the manufacturer Shire are generally good but could be improved in places. Using quick release clamps makes assembly much easier, especially if you are doing this on your own. The pre-assembly of the roof panels needs to be clearer. Aligning the battens exactly on the roofing panel edges does not allow any room for slight variations in the frame ( inevitable on a structure of this nature). I also added extra screws in various places or replaced nails with screws. The end gables in my opinion need 34 x 34mm battens and I added this at each end - with an overlap at both ends, not just the front - the timber end panels screw into this through the roof covering more securely. Also at the door end I suggest adding 34 x 34mm timber under the floorboard ends to prevent damage to the edges ( this edge will get the most wear). However overall very pleased with the product for the price paid and the extra cost for my modifications were only about £20.

Well built with simple erection instructions included.only gripe, door latch square shaft not long enough for door thickness, a strange oversight! .Over all I would highly recommend and would buy from you again.

Palram 6ftx5ft Grey Plastic Shed. Product arrived in 5 working days direct from Palram It took 2 people about 5.5 hours to assemble. The instructions were mostly clear and no major issues. Nice to be supplied with a few spares of most fixings. Was able to erect it in a confined space which wouldnt have been possible with a wooden shed

After years of crumbling wooden sheds, we made the decision to invest in a plastic model. Hopefully this will last us quite a few years! Hubby did his usual thorough research and we finally decided to purchase Palram 6x8’ Skylight classic in grey via Elbec. We would have given 5 stars if I hadn’t had to chase up our order…… twice. Although the problem was dealt with, it was poor customer service. My review is based on the actual shed. In preparation we watched a couple of construction videos to see how hard/easy it would be to put together. All looked fairly simple, especially if there are two people and it’s not a windy day. Our advice/tips would be:- Allow a full day for this job, even though the video tells you it will only take ½ day. This didn’t include emptying old shed or laying the base. Ensure you have factored in a solid base into your costings and planning. We used basic concreate paving slabs on sand. Make sure the base is completely level before you start construction. Lay out all the components of the shed before you start. Everything is numbered and there are fairly easy to understand and follow printed instructions in the box. The plastic panels slide easily into the brackets etc as long as you follow the numbering system. The instructions don’t actually tell you which is the outside of each panel, we had to figure this out. The shiny side is the inside of the shed. An electric screwdriver is a MUST. The video states you can achieve this job using a manual driver, but it will be hard work and take you twice as long. Don’t screw the base to the concreate base until you are finally happy with the location etc. We moved the shed around on its base until we were happy. Have a spirit level handy, even though the instruction leaflet doesn’t state this, you will need it! Have a drink, sit back and admire your lovely new shed. (hopefully to be kept tidy by Hubby)

The building was easy to erect as metal sheds go, mostly on my own. The drawings being reasonably easy to follow. The door bolts are very flimsy and security is very poor without modifications.

The delivery time slot was not as specific as advertised. And he was late. However the delivery man was very helpful and careful with the shed. The shed took a bit of diy to complete but for the price I was pleased. The window is a bit annoying as it is plastic and makes a noise when the wind blows but nothing I can't live with! Now it is up and complete I think it looks a very nice, smart little shed! I would definitely use elbec again.
