Join me for Online Coaching, get healthy and fitter the right way!

I provide a softer approach to online coaching, I’m not going to expect you to do something unrealistic, If you are a shift worker, busy parent, or student I will not be expecting you to do +10k steps every day or go to the gym 5 days a week.

You make progress through some simple small changes to your lifestyle. ShiftandLiftByLaura plans are completely bespoke and tailored to you. Fitness Is for Everyone I am a very caring and compassionate coach and I pride myself in that. Working in the NHS as a Registered Nurse has taught me the skills that are extremely transferable to being an online coach.

I will empower, support and motivate my clients. I understand the difficulties of working shifts and the health problems which may arise. I will celebrate all the small wins with you along the way. Following my own weight loss journey I know how important these small wins are. I believe everyone has the ability to change their life.

Laura has been an incredible support over the last four months. Not only has she helped me reach my physical goals, but she’s also played a huge role in boosting my confidence and helping me build real consistency with my training and nutrition. She’s a wealth of knowledge and truly someone I could lean on when things felt tough. She never judged me when I went off plan and always reminded me that a setback isn’t the end of progress. I’m so grateful for her guidance and support.

I honestly cannot recommend Laura and the Shift and Lift team highly enough! I started my journey in February doing an 8 week programme which I enjoyed that much I carried on for another 8 weeks. I was then kindly offered a 12 week 1:1 coaching space with Laura which I have just completed. I have achieved everything I could have asked for, my whole lifestyle has changed for the better! I am eating a lot more nutritious foods and lifting heavier than ever! As a shift worker it can be hard to stay consistent, however, Laura’s app is brilliant and makes this easy. From food inspo to personalised workouts and realistic goals, I only ever asked for 3 workouts per week as that’s all I could fit in around shifts. Thank you for making me feel confident again and for the regular kind words of wisdom and motivation to keep going 🥰💗 xxx

I cannot recommend Laura and her team enough.! I followed Laura for meal inspiration as a fellow shift worker. I was someone who had done PT previously with local girls at home so I knew what I was doing in the gym. I had my second baby in November but had a holiday booked for 6 months time. I couldn’t commit to a day and time for my normal PT so after seeing Laura post that she was doing a 8-12 week shift plan I decided to go for it to give me a kickstart back into my fitness routine. I got myself back into a good routine with hitting step goals, tracking my food and I got to the gym as and when I could manage. I lost 6kg. Super happy and excited to get back to it now I’m home from holiday.

I joined S&L a year ago and I only have great things to say! I joined when I was really stuck in a rut with my training and diet. I had just started a new role with a new shift roster and was struggling to stay on top of things. I needed advice, structure & support and that is exactly what S&L gave me! I have had a great coaching relationship with Celia, who has created amazing workout plans for me and has helped me with advice on hitting my nutrition goals and daily habits. The app has allowed me to track easily, stay in contact with my coach with messaging & check ins, and remain fully accountable! The progress I've made is amazing - I am so much fitter and stronger and am in a great place with discipline and motivation. I actually also weigh more now than when I started, but my progress photos show how strong & toned I am now and that weight really is just a number. I am lifting heavier than ever, and feel so happy and healthy. Thank you S&L for keeping me on track and helping me reach my goals.

Followed Laura on instagram for a long time and honestly love everything she’s about but couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed with the program overall. Maybe it’s helpful as a beginner but as someone who regularly goes gym I found my own workouts are harder and see better results. My goal was to loose weight on the programme and I didn’t (but actually this could be due to my slow metabolism which is currently be investigated by dr). However I still feel like I was put on really generic calorie deficit and not suitable to my body type. I get it’s not a one to one programme but I’ve had pt’s put me on higher Cal’s before and had better results. I was waking up hungry in the night and just generally not feeling great on them. I thought as a shift worker herself there would be more understanding of this lifestyle. My old pt used to give me higher calories for after night shifts to help recovery and lower on off days. As I am also someone who cooks and eats well the recipes weren’t very helpful to me but again would recommend if you are beginning a fitness journey. I think my biggest bug bare though was that the app didn’t ever sync properly with MyFitnessPal or my Apple Watch and despite a couple of us mentioning a few times it was never resolved. I couldn’t use the inbuilt tracking as my frequent foods and meals are already saved in my fitness. Their tracking programme didn’t have a lot of stuff on it and was too time consuming to log manually or when I didn’t have access to be able to (whilst travelling for work). This made the app kind of pointless and I gave up using it by the end. The challenges were good to keep you motivated but again as my watch never synced I had to manually log everything I did and sometimes would forget so this was a bit frustrating. This is less of a complaint and hopefully just feedback they can use to help develop the programme further. And also warn people if you are quite advanced / frequent gym goer and fitnessy person already it may not be for you. I didn’t pay a lot for the programme but definitely wouldn’t have wanted to pay anymore as didn’t feel it was worth it

I have just completed the 12 week plan and have enjoyed it so much I have extended for another 4 weeks! The help from Laura and the team including the app and community is great and always hands on to help! The weekly challenges are a good incentive to get you ticking boxes off. I love the daily habit tick list within the app also. The workouts in the app are excellent and you can swap them out and plan your gym sessions to suit your week. I would recommend shift and lift if your looking for your next challenge, it’s worth signing up Xx

I signed up to the 8 week shift and lift plan to motivate me to get into shape and become a better version of myself. I extend the plan for a further 8 weeks as I was really happy with the progress I was making and didn’t want it to end! The app created by Laura is amazing, fit for purpose and really easy to navigate. I honestly could not recommend it enough and I'm actually sad that it has come to an end. Thank you xx

I honestly can’t recommend Shift and Lift enough! I did the 8 week plan and loved every single second of it. I was never hungry and always had so much energy. I loved the weekly challenges that we were given which helped to continually make me accountable. There is a huge variety of recipes on the app to choose from and all really easy to make with really simple ingredients. The support from the team and all the other people completing the challenge has been great. Thank you so much to everyone

I started my journey with shift and lift in January, and my trainer was Rachel, who was absolutely fantastic, really encouraging and full of knowledge and advice. The workouts were really good and definitely pushed me whilst also being enjoyable, the contests were also a fun way of increasing my movement. I started at 93kg and now am at 85.5kg and I am really happy with the results, especially as it was all built around healthy habits. Couldn’t recommend more

As a busy mum to a 5-year-old and a 17-month-old, I wasn’t sure how I’d find the time or energy to focus on myself—but joining Shift and Lift has been one of the best decisions I have made! The workouts are fun, manageable, and actually something I look forward to (which I never thought I’d say about exercise!). I’ve lost weight and inches but more importantly, I feel so much stronger, fitter and more confident in my own skin. Rachel has helped me set personalised, realistic goals that work around my lifestyle, and that’s made such a difference. Even after a week away on holiday, I was able to jump straight back into tracking because nothing feels “off limits” or restrictive. It’s such a refreshing and sustainable approach. Rachel herself is absolutely lovely—so friendly, supportive, and always quick to respond to messages. Her encouragement keeps me going, and it really feels like she’s with me every step of the way. If you’re a busy mum like me and want something that actually fits into your life, I couldn’t recommend Rachel enough!

Cannot recommend shift and lift enough. I have gotten into better habits and back into a workout routine and am feeling the benefits of it both mentally and physically. What I love the most about shift and lift is that it is realistic. I have been with many other PTs in the past and felt like I had to restrict myself. Laura understands that people have busy schedules and that life gets in the way and is all about being realistic while also making a change. It does not feel like your on a diet it’s just about getting you into better habits and that’s what I love about it, I have feel restricted to have a treat or go out for a meal. I also love the way that laura does not expect you to be hitting 10,000 steps a day if you’ve only been doing 5,000 previously as again it is not realistic so she adjusts your goals to suit you! If your thinking about joining shift and lift definitely do it you won’t regret it and it’ll be the best thing you ever did for yourself !

I came across Laura’s & the Shift & Lift instagram accounts and found myself intrigued. I’ve not met many PTs that fully understand how difficult diet & fitness is to achieve around shift work. I signed up for the 8 week shift & lift challenge after seeing some progress pictures on instagram of others who had completed this. Now, 8 weeks later, I can truly say I have found my love for the gym again. At 20 months postpartum, I genuinely did not think I’d ever be comfortable with how I looked since having my twins. Now, I have just been on holiday and wore a bikini feeling so confident since beginning my fitness journey and seeing results in the shortest period of time I have ever managed before. Although this isn’t a 1:1 plan, it’s such a supportive community with others in the same boat and a motivational group chat sharing accomplishments, setting goals and supporting one another. For the price, shift & lift is worth every penny. Thank you so much 🥹🫶🏼🥳

From the first message I sent, the whole team have been friendly, professional and knowledgeable. What was meant to be a 10 minute call turned in to more than double and I knew then this was who I wanted to work with. I’m hopefully only taking a short pause from working with Laura due to unforeseen circumstances, but I know I’ll come back at some point. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
