Join me for Online Coaching, get healthy and fitter the right way!

I provide a softer approach to online coaching, I’m not going to expect you to do something unrealistic, If you are a shift worker, busy parent, or student I will not be expecting you to do +10k steps every day or go to the gym 5 days a week.

You make progress through some simple small changes to your lifestyle. ShiftandLiftByLaura plans are completely bespoke and tailored to you. Fitness Is for Everyone I am a very caring and compassionate coach and I pride myself in that. Working in the NHS as a Registered Nurse has taught me the skills that are extremely transferable to being an online coach.

I will empower, support and motivate my clients. I understand the difficulties of working shifts and the health problems which may arise. I will celebrate all the small wins with you along the way. Following my own weight loss journey I know how important these small wins are. I believe everyone has the ability to change their life.

My coach Rachel was amazing!! She was so encouraging and helpful and made me feel really supported. If I had any questions she was always quick to get back to me. I had realistic goals set which has enabled me to create new healthy habits. The Shift and Lift app is really good as well as you can upload photos of your meals, track your meals, workouts, steps, weight, measurements all from the one place which is really helpful. I did a 3 month plan, which included weekly check-ins which I benefited from as I did need the accountability and knowledge from Rachel. I seen AMAZING results, nearly 2 stone lost in such a sustainable and achievable way. I am also a breastfeeding mum and this was all taken into account when planning the nutrition side of the plan.

Laura was such a wonderful coach, I honestly couldn’t have asked for better. She helped me understand healthy habits and sustainability and that balance is key. She has always been so supportive and so willing to change things to help me and was the best cheerleader! It’s almost bittersweet to finish as it’s so amazing the progress we made and that I feel I can move forward but I am so sad to leave her! Thank you so much Laura for everything x

I’ve absolutely loved having a little Laura in my head when I’m at the gym or cooking or getting my hot girl steps in. I’m gonna miss this so so much BUT I have also learnt so much about food, routine, structure, habits that I could not have done without you. I’ve stopped vaping completely to a point where I don’t even see it as a treat I genuinely hate the idea of vaping. I’ve been vaping for years on and off and I’ve never gone this long without it. You’re not just a diet and fitness coach but a whole lifestyle coach!!! You have made every single phase and workout so genuinely enjoyable and listened to everything I needed to a point I actually enjoy the gym and working out. I am so not hung up about the scale because even though that hasn’t changed too much my whole body is different my outlook and attitude is different and that’s the best thing I could have taken away from this. Weight will always come and go but what you’ve taught me won’t. I have absolutely loved being apart of shift and lift. I just can’t thank you enough for every single thing you’ve done and all the advise you’ve given me to be independent in my health. I love everything about shift and lift I’m just so glad I’ve joined and so sad it’s coming to an end 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍xxxxxxx

Shift and lift has been one of the best investments I’ve made to improve my health and happiness! Not only has Laura helped improve my fitness through tailored workout plans and nutrition goals, but also my health physically and mentally, which has been one of the biggest rewards! Having access to an app that includes everything you could possibly need from meal ideas, group support, workouts and the ability to message your coach whenever needed while being easy to use has taken the stress out of trying to juggle all these things across different platforms. I’ve found it so beneficial, and find myself feeling so much more confident and motivated to stay on top of my goals while still challenge myself in new ways! The positivity from Laura and her knowledge of her craft make her a wonderful coach and you can tell she is routing for you all the way while helping you navigate what works best for you to reach your personal goals! Her patience and understanding make working with her feel like a breeze, and I couldn’t recommend Laura, or the whole Shift and Lift experience more!

Rachel has helped me build my confidence the gym and begin to love this as apart of my weekly routine. She’s been so supportive along the day, and offered professional and personal advice that has really helped. Shes taught me so much about fitness and health and organising myself, and getting to my end goal, has been very patient with me along the way. Your a fantastic PT and I couldn’t ask for a better person to help me loose weight and better myself 🥰 I look forward to reaching the end goal with you xx

Have loved loved loved working with Laura, she’s been so encouraging and has helped me to make the gym become apart of my day off routine. Laura has been so flexible with my workouts, when I would moan about certain things she would take it on and come up with a solution straight away with no complaints, she’s given the best advice for the best workouts, before joining shift and lift I would go to the gym and just put random workouts together and nothing was working but now Laura has created workouts that work well together and I have noticed a massive difference in my body shape If I need anything from Laura outside of my check in she replies within 24 hours and is so supportive with everything that I do, I would 100% recommend her

Shift and Lift is literally the best ever 👏 👏 Laura is SO supportive and has helped me gain so much confidence 🥹 she’s helped me fall in love with the gym and make it part of my routine. The app is so so easy to use I love it so much. Laura is so understanding about busy work schedules and doesn’t add too much pressure to the point you want to give up! Laura’s instagram also motivates me so so much and I love how real she is online! She’s an inspiration and has helped me so much on my journey. Her recipes on the app are so tasty and she always responds so quickly 🥰🥰 lost 10kg with Laura and I feel so so strong!! Only negative is you have to buy a whole new wardrobe 😉🫢🫢 . Thanks so much Laura you’re amazing would recommend shift & lift to anyone!!!

I joined Laura’s programme 9 weeks ago and wow. What a journey I’ve had. I’ve been wanting to lose weight for 3 years, I’ve done fasting, healthy eating, slimming world, nothing worked that I would stick to. I Struggled with my body and hated how my uniform was so tight I couldn’t fit things in my pockets. I seen Lauras Instagram on a whim and thought, well, let’s just see. That phone call made me cry (big up our Dave) because I wasn’t expecting him to be so lovely. He actually wanted to help, co-incidentally Laura had a similar story to my own and for the first time ever I felt I could do it. Laura has been so good with me. She’s not just been there for dieting, gym, and the actual weightloss bit. She’s been there for every hurdle I’ve found, with placement and working and assignments, she’s given me more support with student nurse life than with anything. I started with her the week I started my final placement, with two assignments due in, still working every weekend and trying to live my life. I would honestly say it has been one of the most stressful times of my life. I haven’t always been the gym, but for Laura that okay. She was so proud of me when I used the machines for the first time ( it took 8 weeks due to anxiety) and she made me enjoy going cause I knew what to do as I’d watch the videos of what to do in the car so I didn’t panic. She’s not really a coach to me, she’s been one of my biggest supports and she’s kept me consistent l, more accountable to myself and motivated me to be better. I’ve lost 9.1kg in 9 weeks. My uniform is baggy, none of my clothes fit, and mentally I’ve struggled by I’ve come out the other side so much stronger mentally and slimmer too. It’s not been a diet. It’s changed my whole life. I don’t have a single regret other than not being brave enough to get help and not put my faith in her earlier. I’m excited for the person I am now, and the person that I will become with Laura’s help.

Shift and Lift by Laura, has been fantastic, I had Laura as my coach and she really listened to what I needed and wanted, her app is so easy to use and plans push you and are so enjoyable. I loved the recipe section that made meal planning so easy. Laura was only a message away if I needed anything, fantastic service and value for money x

Honestly don’t know where to start with this review! Laura and my coach Celia have been super supportive and helpful during my journey. I have been able to learn to love myself again and not hate what I see in the mirror! This plan is perfect for my lifestyle as I’m a shift worker, own a small business and will be returning to university in September. Celia has been super supportive and understanding if I ever fell off track and has always been on the other end of a message with word of encouragement and support. My relationship with food is a lot healthier and I’ve been able to overcome the gym anxiety! I can’t thank the S&L team enough for the support and I look forwards to seeing the improvement I can make with this plan 😊

I can’t praise the team at Shift and Lift enough. I was on a nutritional plan yet Emily went above and beyond and helped me with my exercise regime also. She taught me how to fall back in love with my body and kept encouraging me even when I had the occasional slip up off plan. My goal was to gain muscle and tone up and I’ve never felt stronger in the gym. In my last few weeks at Shift and Lift I noticed I was gaining weight and just as I finished, I found out this was the result of being pregnant. I’m grateful for all the advice I have received and now feel confident prioritising my nutrition for my baby. I would highly recommend shift and lift as a realistic and achievable plan with fantastic results and a great network of people.

The best! The whole team are so so lovely, and supportive. From the start Dave was extremely helpful when I was choosing what plan, he gave me all the information and was very responsive with communication. My coach Emily was fab, special shout out to her and of course Laura!! Couldn’t have done it without them. Everyone made the whole process easy, fun and worthwhile. I learned a lot over the past few months and made more progress than i could imagine. I genuinely loved every minute. Would recommend to anyone, especially those who work shifts. Its great to have people who understand shift work, it really makes a difference.

I was dealing with a very bad eating disorder when I reached out to Laura. I was under eating and over exercising and I needed to change. Fast forward 3 months, we still have a long way to go but I have never felt so comfortable with food. I’ve become more accepting and loving towards my body and feel that I can finally let go of my old habits. Laura is an incredible coach and I would not be here today without her. She has truly changed my life. I can’t wait to see our future journey together.

Personally it just didn’t work for me, I found it too detached to be impactful. I think Laura’s instagram is hugely helpful. On reflection I should have just stuck to following that as it is expensive and after quickly realising it didn’t work for me it was then painful to pay for three months.

Hi there, Thanks for the feedback, as you say this wasn't for you and we totally understand and respect that, however it is always a very subjective matter when it comes to value. We try and offer in general terms good value, we are continually adding to our coaching and showing more value in that respect, like live classes as well as challenges and competitions to name a few, the platform is also always offering more value by adding more functionality and broadening the overall offering to support both clients and coaches in terms of functionality. There is always a continuous improvement programme running where we take feedback and ideas as well as industry standards on board to be always improving the service. We would always welcome a discussion with both current and past clients to see if there are any further opportunities to improve and enhance our service.

So I have very mixed reviews. So I started this coaching probably a year ago and I was paying monthly. I’m a shift worker and at the time a mum of one so struggled to find time for myself. At first I was so excited, the meals were nice and workouts were good. Check ins were weekly. But I found I lacked motivation and I didn’t feel like this coaching gave me much motivation. I always felt like in the week you were left to your own devices and was never asked how your week was going or just a general check up to keep you motivated! Also there was a group chat I believe for the clients which I was never included in and I feel like it’s those things that can really help. I did however love when we got access to all of Laura’s meals, that part was fab. I just think sometimes it felt more like instead of trying to help and really get people to change their mindsets and motivate people it seemed more like they just wanted to focus on the ones who were getting to the gym for all their sessions and the ones who were getting results quicker so it appealed for more people to take up coaching But personally a coach for me doesn’t give up on those who struggle

Hi there, We are sorry you have mixed feelings regarding your time with us last year. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the meals and found value in them, but I can understand how the lack of motivation could be frustrating, this is something we do try and work on with clients. During your time with us I believe it was during a transitional period between platforms and as such could explain where some gaps in your experience may have arisen, especially in the features and functionality for this we apologise and it certainly wasn't intentional but a consequence of the migration. We are continually reviewing our internal and external process's though a programme of continuous improvement, so we can identify any gaps and understand how we close them, which we try and work closely on with our clients, so in that case feedback is paramount and is welcomed from all clients. Feeling included in the community aspect, like the group chat, is also important for many people as it fosters connection and encouragement, we have always added clients to the group chats, again one of the key cornerstones to our success is the community aspect, when we moved platforms the functionality offered was far superior on the new system and we placed every client into those groups, this again may explain where this area wasn't as successful for you in particular as it was managed differently. Your feedback about feeling overlooked if you're not making progress and being in the gym is significant for us. A good coach should indeed support all clients, meeting them where they are and helping them build momentum at their own pace, which is another cornerstone of how we work with our clients, so to hear your feedback is a concern, which we take very seriously and again is always under constant review.

I enjoyed my time with Shift & Lift with Laura and found the app really easy to use. I enjoyed the workouts and found the structure of it all really helpful for my motivation. I didn’t think much of the recipes though and followed my own meal plan. I found the meals really basic and uninspiring. I’m a person who gets quite creative with food and cooks from scratch most evenings so this just didn’t suit me. I only really signed up for the exercise and accountability of having a coach though so the meals weren’t a massive problem. The coach I had was really lovely and supportive and it was nice to have access to the group chat/community through the app

In response to the meals, we do try and approach meals from a simple perspective, try and make meals quick and easy, they need to be enjoyable too, so we are always striving to add and improve meals where possible. We do try and offer as many choices as possible and offer a wide range of support for many dietary needs, we will continue to review and add to this. Your kind words regarding the groups/community is very much appreciated, its an area we are super proud of because it is made up of all the lovely Shift&Lift family!

The best online PT I ever had! Laura is very personable and motivating, responds quickly to questions asked on the app. In addition the app was a very helpful tool to have when training and inputting meals.
