“Over £3000 bike unridable as spacer for front wheel missing. After saying they would order and send the part I have heard nothing. They ignore all the chasing emails I have sent and the phone line is dead. Awful, ignorant customer service. My advice is to buy elsewhere.”
“Bike is unusable. Basket went mouldy within a couple of weeks. Bell fell off and brakes broken too. Bike was purchased for daughter's 8th birthday last year 2020

“Winstanley sent an incomplete childrens bike and did little to resolve the issue, despite many attempts to contact them - no spare parts or communication - very frustrating!
Spares had to be sourced elsewhere.

“Ordered 2 pairs of pedals with no indication that stock was low. Only received one and was told the other would be sent within 2 weeks. A month on and no pedals and no reply to my email so I have opened a Paypal resolution. I wouldn't use these people again.”

“Pre ordered a bike as there website said usually dispatched from supplier within 7 days or would get notify if not available within 2 days. No joy so set email with just a bot reply back, now they have blocked my emails. The bike I pre ordered which they now do not have on their website for the frame size and colour I ordered but all other size choices and colours shown for same model are now gone up in price by £500. OPENED A PAYPAL CASE TO GET MONEY BACK”

I purchased a faulty item in December 2020 and was asked to return it so that it could be checked and a refund applied. I paid to return the faulty item and have not heard a word from Winstaneys since, despite chasing. They have used Covid as an excuse to disconnect their phones - despicable - and do not reply to emails unless you are abOut to give them money. Any company that refuses to speak to it's customers is clearing hiding something. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED AND DON'T GIVE A SH!T ABOUT YOU. THEY HAVE OVER £150 OF MY MONEY.”

My daughter's bike for her Christmas present arrived with the gears so damaged it is unrideable. The front mudguard is missing and the frame is scratched. There was also a complaint letter in the box from a previous customer rejecting the bike meaning they have sent me a damaged customer return. Don't expect to be able to call them as they don't answer, or get any response via email. I have had to raise a Paypal dispute to try to get a refund whilst trying to source a replacement.”
“I am reading the rest of these reviews now and feel sick in the out of my stomach. I ordered and paid for an Orbea bike on Nov 7th and I am still waiting for delivery. I am going to have a very disappointed little boy on Christmas morning as not in a position to purchase an alternative. No phone lines to call and only one of my emails have been responded to, no communication since December 3rd when I was told that their purchasing team would be in contact soon. I have been very patient, soon to me would be a few days. Not sure what else I can do apart from ring trading standards.”

I really do dislike leaving any bad reviews but I have tried and tried and tried to get Winstanley Bikes to respond to my missing bike stand by email and NO there is no reply hiding in junk - DPD claimed they attempted delivery but I was in and the tracking says Your parcel is on its way back to Winstanleys Bikes. WB have set this to be returned to them on first failed delivery - no re-attempts (even though I was IN!) Now I am 165 pounds out of pocket with no Xmas present in sight and WB cant even reply. I have also disputed with Paypal and they dont even respond to that, I tried leaving a comment on their FB page in their old previous post, nothing, I tried everything. Their telephone number has an automated reply which says they are not answering any calls to deal with the email! Its such a shame as I thought they were good before but this has completely put me off ever using them again. If you want something in time for Xmas, this company may be tricky. Its not acceptable to go quiet on your customers after you take their money. I dont want to hear Covid blah blah - there's no excuse for lack of communication - employ more staff as a bike shop you know you will have an increase at this time of year, stop causing lasting damage to your own reputation.”
“We expected our delivery yesterday and waited in all day. DPD have now returned back to sender but we can’t get hold of Winstanleys Bikes ? They are too busy to answer the phones but how do you get hold of them ? Very frustrating and bad customer service.”
“Ordered a stock bike, never got any update in time, emailed and no response, phone line is disconnected. Received a phone call from disconnected number only after I raised a Paypal case, offering to send bike. Contacted again but heard nothing back on order. Will have no choice but to claim through paypal. If I'd read the reviews I'd never had ordered, buyer beware, I don't suspect they will be tradaing much longer if this is how they do business in my honest opinion.”
“I put an order for a bike rack for my panniers. They took the money and promised nxt day delivery. It’s been a week and despite numerous phone calls and emails there is no reply. I contacted the DPD courier who said to my shocking surprise that they never received a parcel and I’ve been provided with a fake tracking number. It’s no excuse when you take someone’s money you need to take responsibility to deliver. Hugely disappointed. Zero customer service and criminal behaviour.”
“Ordered 2 bikes for my twin boys for Christmas on Sunday 22nd Nov, received an email from them to say they would be delivered on 23rd Nov....nothing turned up. I tried to email them 3 times, but no response. Tried their phone and the line is now dead.
I then received a txt confirmation from DPD to say the delivery would be today, it was but one 1 bike. They have confiermd that DPD only gave them i bike, even though they can see it should have been 2 on the order.
