“I try not to buy from customers on ebay that use yodel , the delivery driver doesn't even bother to try knocking or pressing the buzzer , leaves no card and doesnt ever reply to text messages . I had 2 parcels missing for weeks and because yodel said that my parcels had been delivered ebay and the sender refused a refund. I e-mailed yodel several times and they didn't even have the decency to reply . Again I find myself chasing after a parcel that says they tried to deliver even though the tracking says they have been no where near my estate , web chat won't load , the 2 texts messages I sent to the delivery driver this morning have yet again been ignored .”
“Had notification that my parcel had been collected from sender in the SE then for some reason shipped to the NW then back to the Midlands now it’s stuck in a sorting depot for 4 days and unable to contact anybody.
I understand the difficulty of the situation at the moment but if you can’t operate as normal then don’t undertake the work..”
“Terrible services says delivered and left in a safe place but no parcel was there and o was in all day, can't get through to yodel via any of its services, poor service all round basically, I'm knocking neighbors, very stressful when all your details are on that parcel, truanmatic and leaving me vulnerable to other problems, yodel is not safe at all, can't get through so they could try and locate it or communicate with my delivery who pit false details down on the phone automated system”
“Worst delivery service I’ve ever seen, been waiting for my parcel for a month, and the same parcel posted twice but never arrived, I’ve tried to contact them but the website says online chat is busy try again later doesn’t matter when you check the website that’s shown on thier website 24/7 , I tried calling them and it’s just automated phone call ,they’re a bunch of liars and fraudsters,”
“Tracked my delivery all day to find that once the driver got literally a street away, he marked my parcel as "could not locate delivery address"
I spoke on their atrocious "chat" where I was asked for directions (my name is neither Tom Tom, Garmin or Google Maps.) I was then told the driver would try again tomorrow.
I unterstand times are really hard at the moment but it's this kind of incompetency that is causing them the have a back load of deliveries.
But what can I say, Yodel are notoriously the worst delivery service in the country...”
“absolutely shocking service and liars.... wasted 2 days waiting for delivery of important uniform for my girlfriend who is a keyworker and i know are house is a little awkward to find but if they are not sure then phone and where direct you don't lie on the delivery status online... and we have no way of getting in contact to get delivery”
“A lot of Yodel parcels go missing. I have 4 lost so far, never happened with other delivery services - including Parcleforce! It mainly seems to happen before they get to the local office, who then get a load of parcels onto their system, with one or more missing. As they don't want to a black mark for the loss they then waste the customer's time going round in circles until they can do a virtual 'send it back' and make it someone else's problem. This is especially a problem when the local office is s long way from the primary delivery area and they know that people will not turn up in person to collect.
One of my parcels that went missing, I intercepted the driver in the street delivering to another house, he said it had been put on his load on the computer after he left the depot, but he knew didn't have it because he hadn't loaded it.”
“Followed my item via the tracker for most of the day. At about 15.50pm a yodel van pulled up outside my house, I watched him go into the back of the van and I waited until he closed the back door before going to my front door to go collect the parcel. As I went to my door, the van drove off. I then received a text to say delivered at 16.01. I received nothing, not even a card. After numerous attempts trying to contact yodel, I finally got through via web-chat this morning to be told I had to contact the sender as the driver has delivered to a safe place. I contacted the sender to be told that yodel are responsible because they had received the goods. I have gone back to yodel with a lengthy e.mail followed up by another web-chat. I have been told again, my delivery was left in a safe place but they will look into it and hey back to me within 48hours. I am disgusted and so disappointed. I was waiting on that delivery as is everyone, everyone wants their parcel, that’s why we pay for delivery! Shocking behaviour!”
“We have been waiting since Friday for our package , w entries to track it done on the app but it doesn’t respond , today we were sat at home and we got a notification telling us that there was no one in ! We never even saw the driver pull up ! As Yodel is so unreliable we ve had to cancel our order with the seller from Amazon as we can’t rely on Yodal to receive it ! Shocking service !”
“If I have a choice, I'm not using Yodel at all. The worst delivery service ever. They either don't deliver or leave the parcel outside the door (sometimes is raining, sometimes other people are taking it as a steal). I've ordered something from Nespresso, and just found out after calling them that I can choose to use the other delivery company for my deliveries, but I need to call to place an order, you can't use this option when ordering online.
If you have an option stay away from Yodel, I know I will.

“Watched the van drive up my street on friday the 3rd april turn around and drive off. 5 minutes later get a notification there is a problem with my address. More like the driver couldbt be arsed to get out if his van. Was then advised I could arrange a collection from depot. Arrived at depot to find out the collection service has been suspended for obvious reasons, so why advise me to collect? Now your system says it's going back to sender. What a waste of time”
“Why are this much terrible and unreliable? Do you have to be like that? Since 30th of march trying to reach your driver by the way today is 6th of April, the delivery driver name is Michael and called him many times send him a message, he did not respond? Are sitting there doing business and making money or just for fun?, I have just wondered”
“their tracking said my parcel was delivered, but I was in and saw no one, and there is no evidence of the parcel at my home or with neighbours. Its a very safe place to leave it at my door. it said couldn’t sign due to COVID-19. It didn’t need a signature, and if they wouldn’t ring my bell, I can’t imagine they would ring a neighbour’s either. I’ve seen them before coming to the door, turning back, claiming we weren’t in and would come back the next day. There was no card, just the changed status on the tracking. It raises suspicions, which they are not helping to deny. They are uncontactable, via any means, phone on auto message, web chat spins forever waiting for connection. The delivery Was very important. I wish suppliers would not use Yodel.”
“Ordered a trampoline to keep the kids energy at bay during lockdown; checkout says the item will come in 2 boxes, which I paid next day delivery for. Yodel managed to deliver box 2 of 2 the very next day, but fast forward several days and box 1 of 2 is still sat at a depot with no hint at being delivered, all made more fun with no real person to talk to and an overloaded web chat service.”
“At noon yesterday the Yodel tracking app showed their driver half a mile from my house with zero other deliveries before mine. An hour later when I noticed the driver had moved in the opposite direction to my house I used their webchat to ask what was happening. Got a standard unhelpful reply and was then cut off while I was typing. Tried their phone line, automated message saying it would be delivered that day with no option to speak to an actual person. Tweeted them twice and DM'd them in twitter. No reply.
Roll forward 9 and three quarter frustrating hours and Yodel finally tell me that they won't now deliver my package for another two days and left me with no package and absolutely no way to speak to an actual person.
The reason I was so desperate to get the package was because it was PPE for my wife to use when she delivered essential supplies to her 92 year old Grandad today so we could ensure nothing would be passed on to him. Thanks Yodel for putting my family at risk and making yourselves uncontactable!”
