“I was given a date and time of delivery and waited in all day. The package was not delivered. When I enquired as to why not, I was told that I had refused to accept the package on the doorstep and that it had been sent back to the sender. Blatantly untrue!! Yodel are telling me that the sender is responsible for the non delivery and that I should take the matter up with them!! They allege that they are still making enquiries with the local depot but I am not holding my breath.”
“Never experienced such a bad delivery. Of last 3 deliveries everyone has not been delivered on the day it said it was due and have had to contact yodel via online chat to track down my parcel which always seems to default on tracking to Selby van then fails to update any further. Seem to only succeed when collect from a store rather than home delivery but even they seem to be delayed.”

Just drop parcels where ever they like and take a picture your expected to argue with the people who signed for it although they deny having it or contact the police. No notification of delivery with any options to divert. Customer services basically not our problem we have a picture”
“Absolutely terrible service. They failed to deliver a photo montage I needed for my father’s funeral. They said the driver couldn’t find the address (big block of flats with a main entrance) .They admitted driver error and this happened 3 times. I was told today it will definitely be delivered today. I then receive an email from the senders saying yodel have the package at a depot and I have to collect it (400miles away!) I get in touch with yodel and they won’t deal with me saying the sender needs to get in touch. What a kafkaesque nightmare and to top it all my mother is so upset by not receiving the photos of her dead husband in time for the service.”

I’ve had multiple bad experiences with Yodel, but this latest one takes the cake.
I waited all day for a parcel collection. The driver showed up at the building — confirmed by CCTV — but instead of ringing my intercom or coming up to my flat (I’m on the 13th floor with a working lift), they simply took a photo of the front entrance and left. No attempt to contact me, no knock, no intercom buzz — nothing. Just a staged photo so the tracking shows they “tried.” This has happened to me three times now.
In previous instances, drivers didn’t even bother to stop — they just drove past, again so the tracking shows a failed attempt, (with some random picture shown of Yodel web site that I don't even recognise) I know the game they’re playing, and frankly, it’s dishonest and lazy.
Had the driver actually called or rang the intercom, I would have gladly brought the parcel down myself. But they didn’t. It’s clear they just want to tick boxes without doing the job properly.
I now check who the delivery company is before placing any online order. If it’s Yodel, I cancel immediately. I refuse to deal with them anymore. This company has shown a consistent pattern of poor service, no accountability, and zero customer care.
Avoid Yodel if you value your time and sanity.”

“Vinted order door to door not collected. Yodel said they had tried to collect, but I was in during the collection window and received no phone call at all. Worse still, Yodel’s customer service tried to gaslight me by insisting that the delivery person had tried to collect but that I was unavailable which is a lie. They even sent me phots of my front door (from some distance) which only proves that their driver was there, but not that they actually tried to collect. Why not show a photo of the driver’s phone log showing that they tried to call?! Because they didn’t!
Now Yodel are saying that I cannot reschedule with them and Vinted are saying that I can only reschedule with Yodel.
Yodel are useless and not to be trusted with your parcels.”
“Yodel has to be one of the worst delivery companies I have had to use. I ordered a packed with next day delivery and 5 days later, I am still waiting! When using the live chat every day for the last 5 days, I have received the same generic answers with no further follow up information even though I had been told I will receive an update within 24 hours. Conflicting information given between agents and I have had to physically go to the depot to see where my parcel is, only to be told it is lost as it is not at the depot. I have attempted to make a claim to get my money back but apparently my reference number is invalid/not recognised. If you can help it, avoid Yodel at all costs!”
“If I could give zero stars, I would. I was listed as 10 stops away from delivery when suddenly I received a notification stating there was an "issue with my address." No explanation was given. I was told to contact Yodel directly — which turned out to be a dead end.
Calling customer service led to an automated message that simply hangs up. The live chat was equally unhelpful, offering nothing but copy-and-paste responses and refusing to provide any meaningful assistance. At no point could I speak to a real person or get a clear explanation of what went wrong.
Yodel's customer service is, quite frankly, the worst I’ve encountered. No accountability, no support, and no actual answers — just blame shifted back to the customer. Absolutely unacceptable.”
“Useless customer service that cannot locate a parcel although they marked it as delivered. Cannot provide proof, cannot contact their drivers for further information, all they keep telling me for a week now is ‘rest assured our team is on it and it has been marked as priority’. It’s been a week now and ZERO info about parcel. Utterly useless.”
