Here's a review from a Yodel courier, regarding those I deliver to. Have a read of this and see how many boxes you tick. Do you: Have a number on your door? Have a doorbell that works? Have a door knocker in case the doorbell doesn't work? Object to someone knocking loudly because your doorbell doesn't work? Have the courtesy to let the courier know you are in, but cannot get to the door yet, rather than keeping him/her waiting until he/she starts knocking on your neighbours' doors, often annoying them for disturbing them, and annoying you because he/she didn't wait long enough for you to answer your own door? Ever thank the courier for waiting/not walking across your lawn/shutting the gate? Refuse to take parcels for your neighbours? Have a dog that sits quietly at the front door, ready to grab the mail, taking the top out of the Yodel couriers finger with it? (As happened to my wife) Make sure your returns are properly wrapped before they are collected? Appreciate the fact that your particular Yodel courier doesn't just dump your parcel on the doorstep, unlike many a postman I know? (as I used to be one) Mistrust anyone who rings, knocks (or both because your doorbell cannot be heard from outside) even though it's patently obvious (parcel, PDA, Yodel clothing) who he/she is? Moan about what your husband/wife/son/daughter/lodger has bought now? Think the courier is just a nuisance, even though he/she is saving you the inconvenience of shifting your ample backside off the Sofa to go to the shops for fear of missing some soap or reality TV show? Etc... If none of the above apply to you, congratulations, it's been a pleasure serving you. Otherwise, have a good look at yourself before criticising those who work for little remuneration. Not all those who work for peanuts are monkeys - some are desperately trying to make ends meet or, like myself, semi-retired and having a liking for dealing with the public, despite many people ticking many of those boxes, along with some unmentioned ones you wouldn't believe if I told you! Thanks for reading this, and, remember, before moaning about my comments, empty vessels make the most sound.

Yodel must delivered tracked 48 parcel 2-3 days like a Hermes and Royal Mail And advised drivers don’t leave parcel outside the door delivered to neighbours is best thing

Really bad service provider,I understand that people are stretched in the current environment but to have such decimating reviews all over the internet only Management or should I say Mis-Management can be blamed.Our delivery did not arrive even though the van wa 1/4 of a mile from our house then proceeded to leave the area the following then App tells me there is no tracking available.As a business you simply cannot use this company they will cost you money and ill feeling from your customers...avoid and may be they will rethink their procedures or demise

I might be one of few very, VERY few lucky people to have had a decent experience with this company, unless almost 4000 people are somehow a vocal minority. I ordered a product off Amazon from the States to the UK, because I couldn't find this specific item in any UK-based shopping sites. You don't have control over what company delivers you packages, so Yodel were my assigned delivery guys. I received an email from them saying that my package would out for delivery. So I did some research and began to panic at all the negative reviews. But as I was reading them with horror, I got a knock on the door and the parcel was handed over. So my one and only experience with them so far was prompt and a nice surprise, because it came earlier than the original estimated date of delivery and was in perfectly good condition. But judging by these reviews, I would suggest avoiding this company at all costs if you can. I might be that one needle in the haystack.

Missed a delivery from Yodel and received a calling card through the door. There was no details other than the tracking number on the card so I paid a visit to their website to rearrange delivery. All options were grayed out so I started a webchat. 25mins to connect to a person who then takes 28mins to rearrange the delivery to a collection from depot. They were very polite throughout the conversation and I kept my patience with them. Surely this should be a one or two click option to arrange, and something the customer can do once they have passed a security question or two? This would save time and stress on both sides of the equation.

This company are totally inefficient! I was told today at 2.30pm I was 4th in queue. It is now 8.25pm. The tracker said unexpected delay and my delivery will be here by 9pm. I doubt it. I am taking delivery for my Son but I think Asos and other clients who use this company should look into how their customers are being treated. Disgraceful!

Terrible terrible. Waited in all day -up until 9pm to receive my parcel. When it did not arrive I tracked it only to find that they couldn't deliver it as they couldn't find my house. Funny that as its numbers is prominently displayed and absolutely no one else has a problem. Tried to call but of course can't speak to anyone. Automated voicemail simply said my parcel was waiting for me to to go to the depot to collect it but no instructions as to which depot- it could be anywhere? Then I was cut off. Absolutely shocking service I have paid for.

I am actually shocked - usually Yodel are beyond terrible - loosing my parcels/ birthday and Christmas presents/ parcels not being delivered or mysteriously vanishing - but for once I actually received my parcel yesterday, a whole 2 DAYS early! Still cannot believe it. I have only rated them 3 stars however as they are still bad bad bad!

I have used yodel in alot of my transactions because I do vinted, to my surprise the customer sent a message to say the parcel was left on her doorstep ripped right down the middle of the package. So wasn't very pleased.

I live in Bude Cornwall, and when I tracked my order I found it had been sent to a depot in Truro which is 62 miles south from here. So, I then expected it to be sent back up in my direction, only to find it had been directed to Newton Abbot which is further away and in the opposite direction in Devon. It's five days now and I am still waiting! My verdict therefore is that 'Yodel' only offers a snails-pace delivery because mail is being sent all round the houses before they arrive at their final destination! I am going to recommend to my supplier that they seriously consider using another courier, otherwise they will only incur bad feedback!

I was not impressed with the attitude of your Yodel courier who could not be bothered to wait for me to open the front door. So as no parcel was left outside I asked him where my parcel was just as he was getting into his van to drive off. He shouted that he left it in the shed and then said you should answer your door! Well how about you wait for me to answer rather than being so insistent on finding a place to dump the parcel and then run off.

I've waited all day for a rescheduled delivery and twice the Web customer service agent told me my parcel was with a driver ,even though the tracking showed the parcel was returned to the depot after the delivery slot disappeared 30 mins into being allocated it . It is impossible for that driver to return my parcel in 11 minutes when it take 38 minutes to drive from my town to that depot at most . I'm not amused at being lied to twice

Unfortunately 0 stars isn't an option. Claimed to have tried to deliver. I was at home with poorly baby so was definitely in. Even if I was not they could have left with neighbour in small block of flats (like every other courier does), as they work from home. Sent parcel back to sender quickly. Price of item now £50 more because its no longer in the sale. Plus my daughter won't get her Christmas present in time for Christmas day. Item was ordered in late Nov in the Black Friday sales, ample time for delivery. Very very disappointed and not the first issue with this company. It's beyond me why anyone would willingly use them.

Quite simply yodel and Hermes are incapable of delivering any thing on time don't understand why any small business use them as it reflects badly on them .

Delivery slow but OK. My concern is that you cannot rely on any live chat or telephone messages about delivery dates. I was repeatedly assured by more than one person on the live chat that although the telephone message and website said that the parcel was still in the "local depot" it was "with the driver" and would be delivered that day. I made important arrangements in reliance on their assurances but it did not arrive. I was happy to pick it up from the depot myself to avoid further delay, but was told that this would not be permitted. This is not the first time I have wasted days of my time messing around with Yodel. If I had realised the seller was using them I would have sourced the item elsewhere.
