“I made a non fault claim in April 2022. I am still waiting for my vehicle to be repaired. I have had very little communication from the insurance company and their agents. No response at all from my e-mails. Left on hold several times for over an hour and unhelpful telephone operators.”

A few days ago, I decided to get a quotation for my car insurance and decided to use the moneysupermarket website.
I filled in all my details with Moneysupermarket together with additional drivers to be included on the policy and received their best quote which came from Yoga.
Today ( 16/3/23 ) I decided to renew my car insurance and clicked back on the MS website and was transferred across to Yoga (as they were the cheapest) and for the insurance to commence from 1/4/23.
I paid the sum of £234.61 to Yoga
A short time later I received some emails from Yoga which detailed the car insurance policy etc and I was asked to read the contents to confirm the details were correct.
I was surprised to note, that the additional drivers which I had previously included within the Moneysupermarket website had not been transferred across when they were obtaining the car insurance quotations for me.
Needless to say, that this is NOT the policy which I was expecting and wish to cancel the policy with Yoga immediately.
For you to now charge me a cancellation fee is in my opinion wrong as I only found out the error when I studied the policy documents sent to me by Yoga (which was after I had paid ).
Therefore, please refund the sum of £234.61

“Scottish people do not touch Yoga policies. Was involved in a non fault accident and they have refused to help me due to geographical location which was disclosed when purchasing policy. Going down legal route against my own company even though person accepted full liability. Because in in north Scotland! Mind Boggling and so stressfull!”
“Please see review already left previously. A shambles. Basically you provide cheap basic quotes, hook customers in and then all charges get added on top. Of course you're not aware of this because no other company behaves likel that. Sure there is always the small print but with other companies that is detail you can read after but all the points you need to know are summarised as you go along. When you're going through the process of buying insurance you do not have the luxury of all the detail/small print on a full screen and hours to spare reading it all. Then of course you can't cancel and there's no cooling off period without punitive charges so that is how you trap your customers. I just hope I do not need to make a claim - if the purchase of the policy is such a bad experience what will the claim handling be like.”
“If I had of realised how bad this company is set up I would’ve gone somewhere else for my insurance when I applied for the insurance I put in that I had no no claims but you as a company decided that I have nine years which I do but I use these for another policy I tried for hours trying to change it with little success you should really have had a customer service representative some one real to talk to the only reason I have kept the insurance is I don’t trust you to refund me any money I will not be using this company when it’s time to renew make the most of my custom this year I won’t be staying”
“I am trying to cancel your automatic renewal. There is a disgusting cancellation fee which I am trying to pay and although I think it it is unlawful my payment won’t go through. There is money in my bank by the way but it won’t take my payment and there is a chat bot that is completely unhelpful and no other way of contacting you. I need a response ASAP!!!”
“EVERYTHING! A shambolic experience. Went via Go Compare and then Yoga website which was fine to begin with. But then:
- I wanted to remove automatic renewal but was not able to. Went via on-line chat but virtual assistant did not answer question, gave advice answering a completely different question, repeated this advice and on further pressure to get an answer simply said "I don't understand". That is what happens when you can't talk to a human being
- In desperation tried to cancel policy but can't without being charged £49.99 cancellation fee - this is 2 weeks or so before policy start date - so am stuck.
- I wanted to enquire about a 'cooling off period' as there always is one where you can rescind/cancel in case you decide something is not for you or a policy doesn't quite meet your needs/wishes but apparently not with Yoga, you still get charged. So effectively there is no cooling off period and you are trapped and stuck with the insurance policy.
- I tried to see if I could change automatic renewal by managing my policy, it went through the various questions already asked during the demands/needs for the quote and when I answered them your on line process tried to charge me £20 for changes I did not wish to make.
- All charges refer to administering this and that, cancellation etc but as this company works totally on line here is no real cost involved.
- No telephone number provided to call if stuck or can't find how to do something.
- NONE OF THE ABOVE WAS KNOWN UNTIL INSURANCE PURCHASED AND THE BOOKLET ISSUED WHERE THE PROCESS/CHARGES ARE MENTIONED so you can't make an informed choice at time of purchase. This smacks of crookedness!”
“Took out both car insurance and the gold breakdown policy. When we printed all the conditions the following day we realised that if you wanted to be recovered to your home and not to a garage and the garage was closer they were going to charge us £3.00 mile for that recovery. The staff assured us there was no extra charges but when I pointed out the clause and they went to check they realised there were extra charges. Requested to cancel the gold policy, which they agreed, and asked if we could cancel the whole policy if we could find another company with suitable breakdown cover for us. Would not allow us to do this without a £49 plus charge. Would not use them again.”
“Bad customer service and took 6 mths for my case to be sorted. Also you can’t talk to any body you get passed to to a third party .

“I purchased an insurance policy and cancelled it within 12 hours because I bought the wrong policy, you charged me £49.99 for the for the privilege. The policy did not even start. Where is the 14 day cooling off period??????”
“I was involved in a bump but broke my radiator grille and my seat belt stuck owing to the collision. I decided to submit a claim request but after the initial correspondence I did not here back from yoga. I've been driving my car without air bags as they won't deploy now! I've tried looking for replacement parts but all this should have been sorted by yoga. I sent photos of car damage etc but zero response! When I've tried to phone I've been qued for an hour and more even the online chat has been a herendous wait. Basically I've given up and am presently trying to get my car fixed off my own funds! Considering I am fully comp with you guys, it's like you simply don't want to know!
