I’ve bought two stools for my double bass over the years and was lead to believe that they were specifically for double bass. However, the first one was essentially a drum stool and the latest one (the stool with a back rest) was actually a ‘guitar/ keyboard throne’. Both fit for purpose, however it should be made clear on the website that one is not buying a stool that is bespoke for double bass. This particular stool should come with an Allen Key to prevent the seat from having any ‘play’, because it actually rocks from side to side unless you tighten the screw with an Allen Key (not what you want when you’re sitting with a double bass!
