Just returned home after a thoroughly relaxing holiday from Stock on Trent to Chester and return.
We originally booked and planned for the Cheshire Ring but had to replan due to low water levels in the Peak Forrest Canal, and finally, a lock problem on the Macclesfield Canal closed the ring.
With ample time (two weeks) for our return trip, we were able to stop and explore along the way without worrying much about time or any holdups.
