I was strongly encouraged to invest in NQ Minerals, coached through the eligibility questions, and told that this was asset backed so if it all went wrong I would get my money back when the assets were realised. It was even suggested that I take money out of my offset mortgage to invest because the interest earned would outweigh the interest I would have to pay on my mortgage. Needless to say that when it all went wrong I got a dear john email from Eco Investors and lost 99.2% of the money I invested. Note: I hindsight I now realise why they put so little in emails but instead constantly called me.... if you deal with these people get every tiny thing in writing!
