I have used this black small mesh netting to protect my fish from cats and birds and it has stood up to all types of weather and abuse over many years. The bamboo frame I used to support the netting started to fall apart so I had to fabricate a new one. I only bought a new batch of this netting simply because it would quicker to fit it on the new frame. It is very good quality and I recommend it.
