I love my Mooncup. I genuinely am kicking myself for taking this long to try it; I feel free, and at home in my body,. There is an adjustment period, and I can imagine that the 'getting up in there and personal with yourself' approach may not be for everyone. However, as someone coming from towels and a brief trial of period underwear, I find it really freeing to have moved to a less 'messy' method and one which helps me feel less like some sort of blood-ridden leper every month. The Mooncup lets me still feel sexy and desirable on my period. For those coming from tampons, I imagine the Mooncup would give additional flexibility - it can be left in longer, and avoids the discomfort of removing a half-dry tampon, or navigating tampon use when swimming or using the bathroom. I appreciate being more plugged in to my body and its biology. On top of all that, the sustainability of it being multi-use helps me feel like a better citizen of the planet, and I appreciate not having bags and boxes of towels building up in the cupboard.
