Repeatedly damaged external glass panels for veranda - 4th set finally good. The problems mainly involved severe glass discolouration (laminating issue) which meant the glass wasn't clear in sunlight. I also experienced severe scratches which could be seen from afar. Manufacturer (TuffX) accepted the discolouration faults, which was good, but having to deal with so many repeated issues wasn't. The glass panels were large and heavy, needing 4 people to safely install and uninstall. On ordering I went for self fitting which meant I had to continue doing so for each replacement. This created added pressure and costs to rectifying the issues. Twice the delivery didn't turn up and so more time and money was wasted arranging people to be on hand for no reason. My learning from this would be to arrange supplier fitting to cover that requirement if replacement issues occurred. Office staff were very helpful, manager was hard work. Office staff admitted to the issues and explained that sometimes the laminating process could cause discolouration. They worked hard to resolve my issues each time. The Manager however could be quite dismissive and abrupt and not return calls. They said they'd never come across the discolouration issue before. I found this quite strange considering the feedback I'd had from the office staff and that the manafucturer accepted fault on multiple occasions. Based on the majority of other Origin A reviews it appears I was unfortunate and generally people have positive experiences, however TuffX reviews are less reliable and so worth considering. Origin A potentially need to review their supply chain and the managers approach.
