I live in the United States and heard about Sherlock & Pages via Instagram when they had their fall of 2024 challenge to sell a determined number of books. I was charmed and intrigued and eventually bought three books: Wild Atlantic Women, Wintering, and Between Britain. I have read Wild Atlantic Women and loved it so much that I purchased a second one for my niece ( I also purchaed "Wanderers" for her). I am planning a walking tour in Ireland in the next couple of years, and this book inspired me to think a little differently about my "walk". I have just started "Wintering" (it's winter/almost spring here in Maine) and I am absolutely adoring it. Katherine May's writing just clicks for me. It's insightful, articulate and astute. I love her "word smithing"! I have not started Between Britain yet, but will soon and in anticpation of a trip to Scotland we are planning for this fall.
