RE: The Stand Below is correspondence I sent to the Tentsile Support Team in September. I have not heard back from them as to the status of their inquiries into the matter. I remain very disappointed with the damage the product sustained in transport and the apparent intransigence in finding a more swift solution. I feel that Tentsile should stand behind their product and how it arrives right off the bat rather than having the customer wait for the dispute between you and the freight company involved to solve the dispute. I have been waiting to receive the item before responding to you. It came in two packages; the three bases were received last Tuesday (August 25) in a smaller box and the larger box with the various tubes was received today (September 1); a week later, since FedEx would not deliver it to my door. Again, this is a far cry from the delivery date of prior to August 21 that I was originally assured in August 10 (see email below). To add insult to injury, the boxes and their contents showed a shocking degree of damage. It is obvious that no care whatsoever was made to adequately package the box with the bases, since two of these sustained considerable scuff and scratch marks in transit - see pictures attached. These were simply placed in a cardboard box and that is it. The larger package had minimal bubble wrap, but it is clear that this did next to nothing to prevent numerous paint chips to the 6 assembly tubes - see pictures attached. Yes, this is cosmetic, but these look like they have been used and mistreated for years and they frankly look like hell and certainly NOT new! In addition, the two flimsy red bags that contained the racket straps have multiple tears to them. For a company that makes toiletry bags out of excess rugged hammock material, I am surprised that some of that material is not used to make durable and useful bags for these items. The bags provided are next-to-useless. I was excited to order this item, but I am now sorely disappointed that I did not opt for the refund when it was offered to me. The product might be great (I have not bothered to assemble it to see, mind you…), but attention to packaging and shipping is woefully lacking. You ask what can put this right for me, at this point a product return and full refund or significant discount is in order, since the item is badly damaged. For an established company and an item costing over $1100 CAN I expected more, especially when I am very familiar with the brand, as I currently own a Stingray and Vista hammock tent and a fabric Trillium as well as multiple accessories - this I am sure you can verify. I look forward to hearing from you about this matter, Yann Brierley
