Went here on a referral from my GP for a umbilical hernia repair, my consultation with the surgeon Mr Pathak was quick and to the point he gave me my options what could be done and the process, I was given two ways the repair could be done one under general anaesthetic and the other was local anaesthetic, he pointed out that general would be a longer wait, after he assured me the the local would be the better option I was a bit nervous but took this option the appointment came through I had a couple of forms to complete, on the day of the surgery I arrived was greeted by the surgical team prepared for surgery, the surgery it's self I'm not going to lie was uncomfortable and a bit painful but was topped up with anesthetic and lasted about half an hour or so, but to be honest I did not keep track, all the way through I was asked if I was OK they did not give me any commentry on what he was doing the surgeon spoke to me and the theatre staff were great, after the surgery I was lead back to the recovery area for a coffee I was given information on what I need to do for aftercare, I was driven home by a family member, I am in pain but what would you expect the overall experience from start to finish was very good and very professional and no fuss all the staff were very polite thanks to the Westbourne Centre, now time to recover they have given me numbers to contact if I have any issues but hopefully I won't need them. Thanks again
