I ordered the battery that their website indicated for my wife’s car and scheduled it to be installed next day. While waiting for the appointment to be fulfilled, I was told that the battery their website indicated was incorrect and that the proper one was over 100 dollars more. To make matters worse, after the installation, my wife’s car has several non-working accessories. I have asked for resolution more than once, but they will not return calls. I would stay away from this outfit.

I would never use them again the man on the phone was very nasty and disrespectful, the website said one thing and the man on the phone was telling me the website was wrong and my battery will not be installed so I don’t recommend based off the disrespect and rudeness

Poor communication, I waited for hours for a tech to be dispatched only for them to tell me nobody was available until the next morning. The next morning, a tech came out after several hours, and brought young kids with him. He did not supervise them, and unnoticed to me and him until after the fact, one of the kids scratched a large portion of my car by drawing on it with a stick. I don't blame the kids, I have my own. I can't fathom a company allowing a tech to bring unsupervised toddlers to a job. It's also dangerous for the children, who were allowed to roam a busy parking lot freely, stick their heads under the hood of the vehicle, and the little girl even touched parts of the car (which has electrical issues). Fortunately the scratches are minor, but this company is very lucky I don't press charges. I have photo evidence and could pull surveillance video from the Safeway we were at if needed. I'm still livid about the situation

Don't believe the time estimate that they give you at first they told me it would be between 2:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon when I ordered my battery at 11:00 they didn't come I called and then they said it'll be another hour okay I waited the hour well it ended up being 6:30 at night so it's a great idea have your battery being delivered and all that stuff but you know if you're going to court time make sure you close the right time thank you

don't trust them or there warranties - they sell crappy batteries and make you jump through hopes to get a replacement. Pick another vendor, any vendor!

The worst experience. They upsold me to most expensive battery saying the website had a glitch and made a mistake in recommending a less expensive battery. Then the tech arrived and said I had to pay an extra $75 for the install I would pay him directly. I sent him and the battery packing. I was then charged a service fee of $125. I have requested a refund and have not authorized the additional money to be charged.

I had the worst experience. My order that was supposed to arrive 8am -10am the technician did not arrive until 1:30pm with zero communication. To make matters worse, he couldn’t start the car to fix the battery. I am yet to receive my refund

I initially purchased a battery for my 2002 Chevy Tahoe from 1-800 Battery.com on November 13, 2023. That battery subsequently failed on September 10, 2024. That same day, September 10th, I requested a replacement battery from 1-800 Battery. The company subsequently replaced the failed original battery but, almost immediately, the replacement battery failed to start my vehicle on several occasions after September 10th causing me to miss work. Additionally, the dashboard lights flash on and off erratically as I'm driving.... a symptom of a bad battery. On September 21, 2024, I took my 2002 Chevy Tahoe to two auto parts stores, Advance Auto Parts and O'Reilly Auto Parts. Both technicians ran a test on the battery and the alternator and both corroborated that the battery was undersized for my vehicle and that it was only cranking at 643 amps but should be at 700 to 875 cranking amps. They both confirmed that the alternator was properly charging the battery. I relayed this information to 1-800 Battery via email on September 19, 2024. On September 23, 2024, 1-800 Battery responded with the following, "We have reviewed your order and the vehicle information you provided was for a CHEVROLET TAHOE 2002 V8 4.8L 294cid. On both installs the battery that was installed was compatible for the vehicle type." In its response, no mention was made of the battery failures and, the batteries they replaced my car with were undersized for my vehicle which is a 2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L V8, not a 4.8L V8. I asked for a full refund of my costs, $315.11 for the first purchase on November 13, 2023, and the replacement trip cost of $50, for a total refund of $365.11 which appears was declined.

I would first like to start out by saying i will not be using this again and even though other companies might be a little bit more expensive, it will be worth it. I placed a battery same day install super early and got a confirmation text. Then hours and hours passed by and nothing. I waited calling and texting this company all day and still nothing. No update, no contact back. Absolutely ridiculous. They took my 300 almost 400 dollars and nothing had happened. I regret not looking at the yelp reviews sooner. On their website they have good reviews up but as soon as you look at yelp reviews i see that others had the same problem as me. I will be calling back tommorrow to see what i can do or if i can get my money back. It has just been a big waste of time and my money. Honestly thought this would be better.

There were 3 issues in fulfillment of the order. 1) delay in order fulfillment Online order page said battery will be delivered within 2 hours but the order fulfillment company sent technician only on next day (they said online doesnt reflect the technician availability. If so, then you should get the online order system fixed to set the right expectation). 2) wrong part was installed. While ordering, I paid for Diehard Gold battery but they have installed Exide battery. I called it out, told technician, call center, their manager but it was not remedied. I had to accept the part sent to my house otherwise they asked me to pay 100$ for technician dispatch. 3) No response to customer complaints. There is a cost difference of 100$ between sold and installed parts and i asked for the refund. But the company hasn't even acknowledge my request and there is no response from the company so far.

I purchased a Die Hard battery in 2023. I was not aware that the battery I purchased was not the one installed in my car until I had to have it replaced September 11, 2024. The battery installed was an off brand, not the one I paid a premium price for. I will not use 1-800 battery again.

HORRIBLE - I called in 530a to have everything set up. They told me at 9a they would send someone, I had to reach out to them to find out they had no techs in my area. 5 hours of my day wasted, I had also set everything up via Affirm, not sure why they ran my card for $450

This was a horrific experience. Everything that could go wrong did. The entire time it truly felt as though we were being scammed. I paid in full and then had been told 2pm. At 3:30 I texted and asked where the promised tech was. I received a text back that said “per the tech the time is now 4pm-6pm.” We continued to wait. At 6 pm I texted yet again “where is the tech?” I received a text back that said “he is delayed another 45 minutes.” After 45 minutes I texted again and asked where he was. I got no return message. I then canceled the order at 7 pm. The “tech” showed up after 7:15 pm and was angry and had an attitude. Yelled at me, argued with me and could have cared less. That’s how I was treated as a customer Mr. CEO. This was an absolute train wreck Richard! The COO if you have one should be fired. If my refund does not show up promptly I will turn to authorities, including the attorney generals office in Nj (so many bad reviews and complaints) to call attention to the business practices of 1-800 Battery. I know for a fact that you will not see this Richard and that the note I received asking me for feedback was simply a form letter. But perhaps other consumers will view this and know that this company has zero credibility. Thanks for nothing. You all should be held accountable.

Horrible experience! The person that came out to replace the battery on my GMC Denali damaged the old battery and cable so badly that he couldn’t put the new one in. I had to take it to the dealership for a bill of $1100 now!!! TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE- THEY ARE STILL CHARGING ME $100 FOR COMING OUT AND DAMAGING MY CAR!!! NOW THEY ARE IGNORING MY CALLS AND MESSAGES!!! CONSUMER BEWARE!!

I made an appointment to purchase a battery and have it installed. I confirmed the time and was assured it would be done by 10 am today, August 30, only to be informed that none of their technicians wanted to do the job. Some said it was too far ( North Palm Beach) and others either refused or did not answer their phone. I took off work to be present when the technician was supposed to be at my apartment. The office could not even guarantee that it could be done today or tomorrow. Needless to say this was my one and only time doing business with 1800battery.

My order at 759AM was given an ASAP dsignation. Three emails from you befoe 1030AM changed the order status without real explanation. In a phone call from me at approximately 11AM your representative checked the status and told me the technician would contact me within an hour. At 2PM I called again and was told the technician would contact me soon. At approximately 3PM the technician did call and said he would be there in 45 minutes to an hour. At approximately 5PM I called yet again and your representative put me on hold and came back to tell me there were "traffic problems" and the technician would call me soon with an update about his arrival. No such such came. At approximately 630PM he did arrive. That is some ASAP service.
