I’m officially done with Dell. I don't care how good their hardware is; the post-purchase experience is a total nightmare. If you’re considering buying from them, be warned: their departments don't talk to each other, and they will run you in circles until you give up. The "Buying" Nightmare: It started when I tried to buy a PC. My orders were canceled multiple times for no apparent reason. When I reached out to find out why, nobody—and I mean nobody—could give me a straight answer. I was bounced from one department to another like a ping-pong ball. The "Subscription" Trap: Now, I’m trying to cancel my Microsoft 365 automatic renewal. Here is the kicker: Missing Features: The option to stop auto-renewal is nowhere to be found on the Dell website. It feels like a dark pattern designed to keep charging you. Incompetent Support: When I emailed CS, they ignored my request and kept demanding a phone number to call me. I don’t want a call; I want a cancellation. The "We Don't Know You" Card: After providing my Customer ID and Sales Order ID, they suddenly claim they "can't find my account." How is it possible to issue an invoice to a customer that "doesn't exist" in your system? Bottom Line: Dell has multiple teams handling different things, but they clearly don't communicate. It’s a disorganized mess. I’m not wasting another second or dollar on a company that treats its customers like a nuisance once they have your money. Avoid Dell if you value your time and sanity.

Dell Warranty Declined – vertical line fault on three month old Dell UltraSharp 40" U4025QW monitor (Australia, Australian Consumer Law) Hello Dell Community, I am seeking advice and visibility on an unresolved warranty issue with a Dell UltraSharp 40" monitor purchased by our family in Australia in December 2025. After only light, careful use (checked on arrival, then used sparingly until the recent start of the university term), the monitor has developed a persistent vertical line on the panel. There has been no impact, mishandling, or misuse. To me this appears consistent with an internal panel or connection fault rather than external “physical damage”. I have uploaded the photo in ChatGpt and the analysis was that 'it looks much more like internal panel failure, which is typically covered under warranty' since, on my monitor, there is no evidence of: - cracked glass (often with branching fracture lines) - impact point (a visible “hit” spot) - liquid ingress marks - pressure damage (black blobs spreading from a point). ChatGpt indicated that the pattern is much more consistent with: 1. Panel (LCD) failure Internal layers of the display fail Causes vertical colored lines or bands Can happen without any external force 2. Driver/T-CON failure The circuitry controlling columns of pixels malfunctions Produces clean vertical artifacts like this 3. Ribbon cable issue (internal) Loose or failing connection inside the panel Again → vertical striping Dell support and the legal team have reviewed my photos but have classified this as physical damage and declined both warranty coverage and sending a technician to explore for physical damage. I have explained that under Australian Consumer Law, goods must be of acceptable quality and free from defects that appear within a reasonable time, and that a premium monitor developing this kind of fault within a few months of light use does not meet that standard. At this stage, I am preparing to escalate to Consumer Affairs Victoria and, if necessary, VCAT, but I wanted to document the situation here and ask: Has anyone had a similar issue with vertical lines on an UltraSharp panel being initially labelled “physical damage” but later accepted as a manufacturing fault? Is there a Dell escalation path via this community (e.g. Dell-Cares reps) that can arrange a more detailed technical review of the panel and the photos? I appreciate any guidance from community members or Dell representatives who may be able to assist in resolving this fairly.

I bought a Precision 3660 Tower 3 years ago. After using it for a couple of months, it started bringing up a blue screen saying that the device had run into a problem and needed to restart. Then another blue screen would pop up asking to enter a BitLocker recovery key. I would lose any unsaved work. This happened periodically. I contacted Dell Support, received a ticket, and was put in touch with a technician. He tried several options, took control of the computer, wiped everything, and reinstalled the operating system. Less than one month later, the same problem returned, and I contacted Dell again. This time, another technician arrived, but the issue was not resolved, although I later received an email saying that the on-site service was completed. I had to get another support ticket. The third technician "found" that it was a graphics card issue. So, a technician came at my house and replaced the graphics card. Roughly one month later, the same issue came back. I couldn't return it to Dell because my warranty had expired. Throughout the process, I kept asking if I could return the PC and get another one, but the answer was no. Bottom line: I paid for a defective PC that still has the same issues. Dell was unable to fix them and refused to replace it. Needless to say that I am done with Dell products (I used to like them a lot).

Never buy anything from Dell. They are scammers. I bought a laptop online and it was delivered after 2 months of continuous struggle and multiple phone calls. The laptop was not working and the packaging was horrible. I returned it. It's been 3 months since I returned and did not get my money back. I'm never this stressful in my life calling them back and forth. Avoid this scammers at all cost!

I had a pretty simple issue with my Alienware Area‑51 18, and because I’m working with a Dell Executive Case Manager, things escalated in the best way possible. They ended up upgrading me to another Area‑51 18 with better specs than what I originally bought. My first configuration had the basic keyboard, the 275HX processor, the Ultra 9 RTX 5080, 32GB of 6400 RAM, a 300Hz display, the standard 2MP HD webcam, and a 1TB short M.2 SSD. Dell replaced it with a model that includes the 8MP webcam, the Cherry MX Low‑Profile mechanical keyboard, 64GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. The storage upgrade didn’t matter much since I already run 4TB, but everything else was a huge bonus. When I say Dell has the best customer care, I mean it. All of these upgrades cost me nothing, and they even waived the Advanced Exchange hold—no credit card on file, no hassle. They shipped the new laptop first, and I just sent the old one back afterward

I purchased a Dell Vostro 3520 laptop. After about 2 years, 5 of the characters on my keyboard have started to wear off and the light is coming through from below. I am aware that the original warranty has expired, but this should have never happened. I have owned Apple computers, an HP, a Toshiba and Lenovos and this has never happened before. I just recently learned that my niece had the same problem with her Dell laptop. The basic problem that I have is that this computer was manufactured with a faulty keyboard. I contacted the company, but this issue has not been resolved.

DO NOT GET THE DELL CREDIT CARD! predatory practices, 6 month no interest is only good if you buy the 1 purchase... purchase anything else and you payments get "allocated" to all purchases, not paying off your special financed item 1st... then hitting you with that 6 month interest

Customer assistance appears to being run by AI robots. My computer is 3 months old and the 1 USB port will not connect (devices tried work fine on another laptop). I gave them all the information for my laptop, and they asked me how many USB ports it had and where they were located, so obviously they can't even look up my model. I have now received 3 emails on separate days asking if resolved and each time I reply "no" and no further contact for 24 hours. I have owned Dell computers for over 30 years but never again especially after seeing some of the other reviews.

I've bought an Alienware AW610M gaming mouse to my partner as birthday gift. It started playing up just a few month after I bought it, tried to contact Dell support but it was unpossible, I did give up after trying for hours. The cursor kept jumping up and down while scrolling ,we have tried all youtube videos, nothing helped so gave up, used it like that as it was quite expensive just to buy new one after half a year of use. Now 2 years literally just passed and mouse is unusable, huge disappointment. Techical support is non existent. When tried to message them theirvreply was " We’re glad to see that our Technical Support team has assisted you and replaced the part to resolve the issue." WHAT THE HELL??? When I saw this got so mad. They haven't replaced anything what a lie!! Huge disappointment never again.

I have a 20 years old business and all my computers were bought from Dell. I did a mistake on my last order for a couple of computers that were off the shelves next day delivery. Because we are on a business account Dell will not accept a return even if we were buying the replacement from them. Even worse is that customer Care is so bad in their responses, I am not sure they even read or know how to read the requests! I will not be using Dell again and regret beeing so loyal to a company that is now all about profits.

They don't deserve even one star. Their new products is is too slow. Hardware also not good. My laptop's hinge broke whithout any accident happened in period of usage some after a year so I need to repair it and now my motherboard problem arises. My laptop not start only caps lock led light on. Display black, motherboard don't heat up, fan not on. Too bad quality. In only two years of experience.

Customer service is god awful in a time when disposable income isn't as high as it used to be. For the price of their products, they give no customer support past purchase and have minimal transparency with tracking your purchase.
