“very good price with DPD via Parcelhero BUT the drop-off shop had stopped taking DPD so drove around trying to find alternative and failed after trying 2 other shops in a 8 mile radius. I ended up taking it directly to the depot 12 miles away. Can I suggest Parcelhero update their website to avoid negative reviews and frustrated customers - a 20 minute drop off took all morning!”
“Completed the form for one item. I wanted to add a separate smaller item. here was some confusion on where to add the second item, which eventually arrived at 3 of the same item being added to the basket.
I cleared this and started again, on finding that you create effectively a job with your first parcel and can add parcels during the form filling section. This was not entirely clear in the form. Please make the Add Another Parcel a clear and definite option ParcelHero. The rest of the process seemed to go like clockwork.”
“Only 3* as customer service received from ParcelHero.com was good but the courier used via ParcelHero.com (Parcel Force) was just shocking. Package was collected on time however the driver didn't have any labels or barcodes to stick on it... luckily i had written the recipient's address on the box... The bulky parcel (88cm x 65cm x65cm) was delivered on time too... but to the wrong address!! Why i bothered entering the recipient's mobile number and my mobile number when booking online, i do not know! The driver didn't even try to contact either of us! When i looked on the tracking report, the message said: delivered to A neighbour!! Useful... not! Absolutely gutted to have paid £35 for such a rubbish service from Parcel Force.
Luckily, the customer servive agent at ParcelHero was really helpful and manage to track my parcel down within a few hours.”
“We sent a parcel of 12kg via Parcelforce through Parcelhero, it advised us to take our parcel to our village post office, which we did only to be told by our village post office that parcels over 10Kg have to be taken to our main town post office. If I had known this at the start we would have paid and arranged for collection from our house. We also purchased the 48 hour service but was told when we dropped the parcel of at the main post office it will be at least 4-5 days before our parcel will be delivered, unfortunately we was not informed of any of this when we purchased and paid.”
“Have used a few times now and only one has gone totally smoothly. I am currently waiting for a ‘broken’ item I sent to be returned. Although not parcel heroes fault (it is down to parcelforce and not doing their job properly) I am waiting to see how parcelhero perform in getting me my £50 automatic cover back from parcelforce. They delivered my item, told the recipient it was broken but didn’t allow her to inspect properly due to Covid restriction and was off on their toes like their life depended on it with the item, basically refusing the my customer the choice to receive or not. I will update once I see how well parcelhero deals with parcelforce. At this moment in time I still do not know how bad the damage is. A parcel send wrapped in fragile tape you would expect to be looked after. That didn’t happen. What Inca make of the photo is the packaging is damaged but the item it is hard to tell but looks ok.”
“I’m perfectly happy with parcel hero. Not at all happy with dhl. I was shipping Christmas gifts to friends in England. I am aware they need to search the packages but everything was torn apart, not handled with care, things left half bubble wrapped. I had items separated into gift bags for each recipient in the family and nothing was in its bags just all shoved in a crumbled up Christmas gift bags.”
“Good prices, and my parcel arrived more or less safe and sound.
However, it was frustrating when the courier was supposed to collect my parcel for delivery and updated the tracking to say ‘collection attempted’, when no one had knocked the door at all. This happened twice in a row, at which point I was sceptical I would receive it! On the third day, the sender dropped it off the parcel shop for collection as it appeared the courier wasn’t going to come and get it!
Having said this, I’m not sure if it Hermes at fault in this situation or ParcelHero, and once the parcel was at the parcel shop it was promptly collected and delivered the following day. It was just an unnecessary hassle and frustrating wait, feeling uncertain whether the process would be successful.”
“They are OK, although with parcel force their tracking does not show until rec at depot, as can be a few hours after dropped at post office, which is causing my ebay customers stress, as I deal in very expensive items. When they receive my tracking number, they try it and it does not exist. Really not good.”
