“The site is absolute trash. I have tried to update my payment information so that I can pay for tickets even though I carefully review the revision and press save it just reverts back to the old information putting a random c after my box number so I can't buy tickets. It will now be too late to buy the tickets I was looking at with the price I was hoping to pay and of course everything is way over priced to begin with so way to kill the hope of people ever doing something recreationally. I feel bad for the people trying to sell tickets too. gotta be terribly frustrating.”
“sold Chris Brown tickets on StubHub on Aug. 7th, 2025 at Ford Field! On Aug 7th I received an email confirmation stating that my tickets were received on Aug. 7th and I would be receiving a payment 5-8 business days. I called StubHub several times to inquire about my payout and they guaranteed that my tickets were received and I would receive my payment in up to 8 business days only to receive an email on Aug 17th from StubHub stating that I will not be paid because my tickets were not valid.
How? The buyer accepted the tickets once they were accepted they were no longer in my account. I’ve spoken with StubHub numerous times and they guaranteed that I was in good standing and that the payout could take up to 8 days never once did they say the buyer did not receive the tickets!”
“tubHub Review – A Risky Experience for International Events
I purchased tickets for Billie Eilish’s concert in Tokyo through StubHub, opting for the electronic delivery option—more expensive than local pickup, but supposedly safer. I live in the U.S. and bought the tickets over a month in advance. From the beginning, things felt off: I received a blank PDF, and customer service told me they needed time to resolve the issue. Since there was still time before the concert, I waited.
A week before the show, StubHub sent me a QR code and instructions to pick up the tickets at a convenience store in Tokyo. They claimed this method had worked for other buyers. I arrived in Tokyo a couple of days before the concert and followed the instructions, but the process was incomplete. I spent two days dealing with customer service, receiving conflicting solutions. On the morning of the concert, one representative told me to disregard all previous instructions and simply go to the venue to pick up the tickets.
At the venue, staff at both the box office and the gates didn’t recognize the QR code or StubHub. One hour before the concert, customer service finally admitted the tickets didn’t work. They offered to send new ones, but it was too late. They assured me I was protected and would be reimbursed within 5–8 days.
While I didn’t lose money, I lost time, energy, and the chance to attend a concert I had traveled internationally for. StubHub failed to ensure a secure and reliable ticketing process. Their customer service team was kind and respectful, but clearly misinformed and unsure of how to resolve the issue. They kept escalating the problem without results.
I’ll be extremely cautious about using StubHub for international events again. Their lack of due diligence and coordination with local venues makes the experience unnecessarily risky.”
“I purchased tickets in a pod section with better views and actual seats and instead received tickets for a lawn seat basically sitting on grass. I reached out to StubHub immediately before any artist came up on stage. Their customer service representative was not helpful and also lied about escalating my issue to their management as I had requested. I was waiting to hear back, but never did.
I reached back out and spoke to another customer service agent who verified that the prior agent never escalated my issue. However, was not able to provide me with much compensation as the event had already passed. I had informed him that I had reached out prior to the event even starting, but had to utilize the ticket to get into the amphitheater to figure out That I had the wrong seats. I have never been to this amphitheater before.
Prior to the event starting, I had presented to guest services at the amphitheater who mentioned that they have been receiving multiple issues with tickets from this company being a scam who also have given multiple other guests, incorrect, and lesser valued seats. They recommended not utilizing this company for any future events.
I have asked this company now over 3 times that I was wanted to speak to their supervisor and was denied access to one.
This is false advertisement and not checking what they are selling. I could have bought lawn general admissions tickets for much cheaper! In fact, the guest services at the end could have given me a booth with a dedicated wait staff for half the price I paid for through stub hub.”
“They messed up my tickets, so I was very late getting into the concert. My original tickets were at about the 50 yard line. They gave me new tickets, but these were BEHIND the stage. Even though there was over $150 difference in the price of the tickets when I purchased them, I still was charged full price. I will NEVER use them again AND I will be taking legal action for the theft of my money”
“I purchased a ticket to a football game and went through the check out with the price of the ticket and the fees listed correctly. This was confirmed in an email and gave a specific order number. I subsequently received two separate emails with different order numbers that said I purchased a parking pass to the game and insurance using the same card. I will not have a car for the game so I would not have purchased a parking pass and I did not desire insurance. When I purchased the game ticket it showed only the price of the ticket and not these other separate charges. I called the customer service line and they said my only recourse was to try and resell the parking pass with no guarantees. When you request to speak to a supervisor they tell you that they talked with them but there is no other recourse. They tell you all the supervisors are busy to talk to in person and put you on endless hold. I was hung up on or continually put back on hold in two separate calls over 45 minutes each. At one point I asked the customer service agent who he worked for and he replied "Stub Hub". I then said are you actually working for a call center contracted by Stub Hub. He said he was not allowed to say. I said do you really work for Stub Hub and he said we take calls for them. It is not really customer service so don't waste your time because they can't resolve anything. This was my first dealing with this ticket broker and my last. I now see the validity of the class action lawsuits that have been filed.”
“I purchased tickets for a football games but could not attend. I sold my tickets back on stub hub and later received a message that the ticket must be sent to buyer on September 4 but stub hub is telling me that I will not get the original tickets I bought from them until September 6.
So I canceled my sell so the buyer would have time to purchase tickets that was a for sure purchase. Stub hub charged me for cancellation but the robot they have to answer questions is only a program.
I know I should have used ticket Master”
“First of all the concert that I booked for is not the concert that I got tickets emailed to me for. I called 5 minutes after the transaction and they refused to cancel the order. They told me to sell the tickets and said there was a 99% chance they would resell. They did not. Then the tickets were shipped but did not arrive in time for the concert. When I called about them not arriving they told me I would receive the fan guarantee response closer to the concert time. They sent replacement tickets 30 minutes before the concert was supposed to start that you had to go offsite to get. When I called wondering why I wasn’t offered a refund I was told it was a link on the email with the tickets. There was not a link other than the link to review the tickets. Because I clicked on that link looking for the option to request a refund, I was told that I accepted the tickets and all sales are final. They did not make the seller accept responsibility for the tickets not coming on time, the carrier for not delivering them on time, nor did they give the option for a refund. After spending hours with them on the phone, although they agreed that this resolution would not have satisfied them either, they still stuck me paying $1300 for a concert that we could not attend! They conduct terrible business and don’t care about the customers. They only care about lining their own pockets. Despicable!!!!!”
“I had one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences with StubHub. I purchased tickets for the Seahawks vs. Chiefs preseason game on April 19. Instead of those tickets, StubHub sent me tickets for a completely different game (Vikings on May 15). I followed their instructions and returned the incorrect tickets on May 19.
In July, after still not receiving the correct tickets, I called StubHub and was assured they would arrive closer to game day. On August 6, I had to contact them again, provide proof once more that I returned the tickets, and was told yet again that the tickets were on the way. On game day, August 15, I called and had to retell the entire situation. I was assured the seller would deliver the tickets. Later that day, while already on light rail heading to the stadium with my 10-year-old son (his first ever Seahawks game), StubHub chat support told me I would receive comparable tickets within 20–30 minutes.
When I arrived at the stadium, I was told FanProtect would not provide comparable tickets until one hour before kickoff. That left us unable to enjoy the pre-game activities. I was forced to purchase new tickets directly through Ticketmaster just to get inside. StubHub then called me after the game had already started to ask if I had gotten in, and promised refund instructions within a few hours. Those instructions never arrived.
StubHub’s handling of this entire situation was unacceptable. I spent months chasing down tickets, repeatedly proving I had returned the wrong ones, and was misled up until the very last moment. Instead of enjoying the pre-game with my son, I was on the phone and in chat sessions. In the end, I had to buy tickets myself. StubHub advertises “FanProtect,” but my experience shows they do not stand behind it. I will not trust StubHub again.”
“Our tickets were never transferred from the seller. Stubhub tried to give us seats that were a quarter of the cost of our original tickets. There was no accountability on the part of stubhub for any other lost costs. Why weren't the tickets transferred immediately after purchase?”
“Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever experience in my life. We will start from the beginning. I ordered my tickets on Aug 7th for an event on Aug 16th. The tickets I ordered were for a UFC event in Chicago. I traveled from CT and had to obviously by a flight and hotel. I didn’t receive my “tickets” until the Thursday before the event which was on Saturday. Upon checking my tickets I received tickets for a $30 play, not the $2000 ufc tickets (section 104 3 rows off the floor)which I purchased. I wasted two full days playing phone tag and dealing with customer service. Having the same conversation with 15 different agents saying the same thing just running in circles. After ruining the first two days of my vacation I was finally sent replacement tickets to the event which was in section 308, the nose bleed section in the arena. Tickets were not even remotely comparable to the original purchase. When brining this to their attention they pretty much told me that there was nothing else they could do in resolving the matter.”
“StubHub has the worst seller support I’ve ever experienced. We made a small mistake on the ticket date and noticed it six hours before the concert. Instead of helping, StubHub refused to let us correct it and told us to wait until after the event to appeal. We filed the appeal immediately, only to wait 20 days and then be told it was denied. On top of that, they kept the penalty equal to the ticket price.
This policy is unfair and feels like a trap for sellers. StubHub clearly cares more about taking money than providing real support. I will never use this platform again.”
“Beware: I purchased 2 tickets to a comedy show and was tricked into believing the price was $250 for 2 tickets, when in fact that was the price for 1 ticket. Be very careful if you purchase anything on this site as they are misrepresenting their prices. It only showed me the true full price once the transaction was processing. I tried to immediately cancel the transaction but couldn’t. I chatted with a Stubhub Rep and supervisor and they denied my cancellation and even told me because the event was happening in under 48 hours I couldn’t resell the tickets. I will never use this company in my life and I recommend you don’t either because they are thieves. Please read their reviews which I wish I did before purchasing from them. I wish I could give them 0 stars, but unfortunately in order to write this review I have to at least give them 1 star.”
“I bought tickets on StubHub. Was sent to Ticketmaster to ‘claim’ them. Realized I couldn’t attend and listed them for sale on StubHub. Got smsil from StubHub that O had 24 hrs to transfer ticketss to new buyer. Ticketmaster has not turned on Trsnsfer option and now Stin hub is telling me that I will be responsible for buying tickets for the new buyer!!!! I’ve paid $271 to StubHub for these tickets and haven’t received a penny back for them but they are saying I’ll be charged for new tickets for the pending sale!”
“Prices are by far more affordable when there are resellers pining for your hard earned money. Unfortunately not knowing where the seats are until last minute absolutely sucks”
