“Good service and staff were very helpful”

“The experience obtaining the quotation was fine, and although not the cheapest I decided to sign up as you had been recommended by my wife. After a week I received a standard letter saying the policy would be stopped as I hadn't provided my proof of no claims. The letter was blunt and not customer friendly. I had not previously been asked to provide the no claims proof! I sent the information immediately. I then received another letter stating that you had been trying to contact me. I had one voice mail message which I returned within 10 minutes at 4.57pm. The phone wasn't answered. I had to phone 3 times the next day before I could talk to somebody, and I never got to talk to the person who sent the letter, she was apparently too busy! Although not too busy to send a poorly worded standard letter after one attempt at contacting me!! The vouchers promised have not arrived!! Based on the service received so far I will not be renewing my policy with you next year. Overall it's been a poor experience. I am very disappointed, I expected a friendly local personal service, it's been far from that regrettably. Michael Salter”

“The staff were friendly, helpful and also knowledgeable. The price was so competitive too which to be honest, these days price is pretty much the most important factor, although I much prefer to deal with human beings and everyone I spoke to at A-Plan were most helpful. Thank you”

“Service was very good, except as the BMW Car Club member's recommended insurer, you seemed puzzled at first by my request to insure my 2005 BMW M3 on a limited mileage agreed value policy. In fact it took some time for you to find a company to undertake an agreed value cover for the car. Peter James Insurance had already given me a quote with no concern, (they cover two other classic cars I own on typical agreed value schemes), so you can imagine my surprise at your initial response. We got there in the end though, but with good example BMW M3 values increasing all the time, surely I cannot be the first customer to request such insurance? Kindest regards Dennis Wharf”

“I was looking for motor insurance and requested a quotation from A-Plan, they were able to give me a better price than the on-line comparison sites. In addition, they had taken all my requirements into account, so I didn't have to sift through all the small print to ensure I was getting what I wanted. A-Plan is what I have been looking for, offering an individualised brokerage service while still providing my insurance at an affordable price.”

“We contacted A-Plan, Alton branch in December 2015 for a quote when sourcing deals to renew our home insurance. The advisers were all very helpful and we accepted the very competitive quotation they offered. We contacted the branch again in January 2016 regarding renewing insurance for one of our vehicles. Once again A-Plan through adviser (Mark Tobin) sourced an excellent deal providing improved cover for the car at a very good rate. Very thorough questionnaire ensures all possible deals are accurately sourced for clients. Next family car due for renewal in February - we shall definitely be requesting A-line's help in sourcing the best deal and doing all the hard work for us in future.”

“Getting a quote was easy and the person handling the call was very efficient. He always phoned back when he said he would and came back with a very competitive price. The paperwork arrived speedily. I have yet to go through any claims procedure so cannot comment on that aspect.”
