The quality of their fresh products has deteriorated considerably. In recent shops I have had to throw away a full punnet of nectarines.. a whole cucumber. A complete head of celery. All this was in 1 shop. I don't understand why their product is have taken such a drop in quality as I'm sure their deliveries of such goods have become more frequent. They need to up their game and be more careful with quality control.

I am confused about the previous review. How on earth did you manage to give it three stars after your complaints, especially the one about social distancing? If it is as bad as you say, and I do not doubt it at all, then it should be reported to the appropriate authorities. They would be in serious trouble. If anyone values their health they should stay away from Aldi and all the non social distancing customers.

We shop at Aldi every week because of the brilliant value for money. Most of their products are good quality at a good price. HOWEVER, just recently I have had to take 'fresh' chicken back for the second time. On both occasions, the chicken had gone off well before the 'use before' date, and on both occasions I was given a replacement, but without surprise, explanation or apology from the store manager. This leads me to believe that Aldi are still purchasing in chicken from dodgy sources, which is unbelievable after the scandals a couple of years ago. My other gripe relates to their Covid policies. Basically, Aldi, being generally cramped, cannot comply with Covid distancing store policies, so you are taking a risk most times you shop there, especially if the mask policy is not enforced by their staff. Having said all this, we will continue to shop at Aldi, but with caution.

Corona virus is nothing, the bacteria in the dirty hand baskets is far worse. Can't they wash them once in a while, I have to put my food in them. Also why do the checkouts open and close at random. I queue for ages then checkout closes. So I have to join another queue and start over. Shopping here (Bracknell Branch) is misery. Sainsbury manage it fine, have to go there anyway to get the goods not stocked at Aldi.

DISGRACEFUL- BURTON ON TRENT STORE. This is the worst supermarket I have ever been in. We are in a pandemic and Aldi are the culprits in encouraging a second wave. No social distancing in the store. When advised to a member of staff there response was leave! Another response from a member of staff is they cannot Monitor everything. If you cannot monitor this then the store should be CLOSED! Abrupt, rude and unprofessional staff! I will never use this store again. The government need to close businesses like this that do not follow the guidelines. No care or consideration for there customers or the general public. The manager of the store hides there name so they do not have to deal with customer issues. The customer service team fob you off and brush everything under the carpet. What a shambles!

Just returned from Aldi Alton, where at least a dozen ignorant and irresponsible people were not wearing face coverings in store. Until everybody follows compulsory government advice, including tore management, the virus will continue indefinitely. Not a pleasant experience.

Cashier named Carlos at store in Buena Park, Ca was very rude to me and my husband. No "hello" or "Did we find everything ok" My husband paid as I was bagging our groceries. Carlos proceeded to tell my husband that next time we need to get our own cart if we were going to buy so many items. We only bought 30 items but whatever. We didnt have a quarter to get a cart so we just carried our items in our bags as we shopped. I've shopped there long enough to know that the cashiers always have a couple spare carts for the next customer if they don't have one. I always give it right back to them too when Im done. I've worked retail and managed for the last 25 yrs so I know the importance of great customer service. Hopefully you all train and coach your employees a little better. I will never be shopping here again.

I shopped at the Cowgate Aldi on Sunday. As usual, when you enter the shop in the last hour before closing, the sanitisation station is shambolic. I should have photographed it... The shop was busy - no social distancing what so ever.. at 15:45 the first announcement was made for customers to make their way to the tills as the shop would be closing..Which is what shoppers began to do. But, Aldi only had two tills open so my queue quickly reached back to the back of the shop - so did the other - and there were still shoppers trying to work out where to join a queue. Bottle neck and difficult to distance from one another. I asked one employee who was tidying the bread counter if another till might be opened - I was rudely told, ‘no’. I pointed out that the queues were huge and unsafe... he walked away saying, ‘Some people only think about themselves..!’ Not at all - Dangerous all round for everyone, as far as health and safety goes. Rude staff on top of it. Aldi, if you ask customers to head towards the tills.. open them! Sanitising stations should be available up until the last minute the shop closes.

Very disappointed yesterday at Aldi Bamber Bridge checkout. The operator took cash from previous customer and, without sanitizing hands, proceeded to put all my shopping through. Covid hygiene measures completely gone out of the window!

Would you want to shop at a grocery store that does not honor their weekly advertisements? Aldi's central customer service has reconfirmed that if their weekly newspaper add does not match the add in the local store then the store manger does not need to honor it. This happened again at the Aldi Fairfax Blvd store. It happened to me and it can also happen to you!!! The weekly Aldi Washington Post add showed butter $1.69 per pound limit 4. Normal store price is $2.02. The store manager declined to honor the sale price on my $30 order as it was different from the in-store advertisement flyer. The good news is the Lidel's new store will be opening in Fairfax City in the next two or three weeks so you will no longer need to be subjected to this type of unsatisfactory bait and switch service.

I purchased the Anthracite Cube Bistro Set for my garden which was delivered mid May, after leaving outside in unexpected downpour overnight, I wiped down and discovered rust on the metal frame. Contacted Aldi on 12/6/2020 referrred onto supplier who advised a replacement. I did not want a replacement as I would expect the same to happen again and I did not want garden furniture that I had to cover in the event of rain. Here I am on 1 July, been back in touch with Aldi - they will contact a collection agency, collect the goods, when the last item is returned to the warehouse then a refund will take place. So all in all, £156.94 that will be put into my bank account who knows when. I want to purchase a replacement but maybe summer will be nearly over. I did purchase around 10 years Rattan furniture from Asda that I had replaced with the poor quality chairs from Aldi. Very disappointed

Very rude staff at the checkout despite no social distancing in store at all I was told to move further down even though a rude customer had began packing less than 2 metres away from me as I disputed this the other staff on the checkout got involved without knowing what had happened both had bullying tactics arguing just because I pointed out the fact I was now at 3 metres from anyone was told by the cashier she’s not serving me anymore and took my shopping off the line I asked for the manager who then was not even interested to listen to how unfairly I was treated in store and walked me out of the store without been served I then phoned up Aldi customer service and explained my frustration on how I was treated and she apologised and offered to send me a £10.00 voucher for my upset and logged a complaint if only the Aldi staff in Bolton was properly trained to treat there customers with respect and handle problems more professionally this kind of situation would not have occurred from the beginning.

Cant find fault with my local aldi on batley rd, the staff and welcoming and friendly, there is one lady that sticks out, i see her marching around the shop smiling and singing, shes always helpful, she has went out her way to find out if the items i was looking for were in stock, i do not know her name as i heard one of her work friends call her trish and she corrected her by saying that was not her name, it was all in good fun. The shop always looks clean and tidy and there always a bargain to be had.

I do my main shop in Aldi, its limited but cheap, that's the good bit. The bad bit is they make their money by working the staff to death, I used to work in retail management years ago, they used to take advantage of managers by getting them to work all the hrs under the sun & not get paid overtime, now they get away with getting one member of staff to do the job of 2, its immoral & if they are short of staff they look under so much pressure, no other retailer does this, im considering shopping in Lidl for this reason, shame on you Aldi.
