Ordered a case of wine online for a special occasion but delivery information, via Yodel, said product was damaged and was being returned to sender. Heard nothing then checked again, whereupon it said it had been delivered, although nothing received. Had to call Aldi to discover the wine had actually been returned to them, was now out of stock so refund given. When I complained about the lack of communication regarding the order and poor customer service was limply offered an online voucher. As much use as a chocolate teapot, which is how I would sum up Aldi’s online service!

Ordered Rattan Garden set and cover on 02/04/2019, money came out of my bank same day over £223.93 email stating set had been dispatched on 10th, 4 emails 2 phone calls still no garden set and no answers from Aldi! Customer service a absolutely abysmal. Still waiting on Aldi getting back to me happy to take my money but not so happy to provide a good level of customer service. Where is my garden set?? Still waiting

Had a refund for a double scanned item? Without a receipt? Doesn't it just go to show how silly this company really is. If correct then this could be used as a precedent for us all. Bet the store manager wished he hadn't done so. Of course, if it really is correct. Cannot be a staff member this time could it as it simply would not make sense for them to do so. Even the few "would be good reviews" always seem to drop this company even further into the mire.

I'm not sure I am going to leave a review now. I am too puzzled. How can anyone give four stars for this company based on nappies? What about the staff etc etc. The store cleanliness. The checkouts. The quality of things. Oh well. Maybe another day.

ANGELA ELLIOTT who works at belton Road is a bully and has harrassed myself and my parnerand i for 2 years with her constant music blasting througj the walls shouting abuse and threatening me this matter has now been taken overby the police and will be dealt with properly

I have just received the second petrol lawn mower which doesn't work. Aldi refused to refund me unless I return the item to a store. The mowers were ordered and paid for on line and there was a delivery charge paid by me. So for 2 faulty items, i have had to take 2 afternoons off work to sign for them, had to assemble and disassemble both mowers (repack them in cardboard) and now they will not refund me unless I carry them to my car, drive many miles and drop it off at a store. What a service, you must be very proud of your team, Aldi. Never again will i visit you!

Why does this store (among one other) operate such an unfair and disorganised check out system. The last straw was today when I was told by a member of the checkout workers that til number 1 was closing therefore I joined the back of next least size que only to see the same checkout re-open with a different person then for a rush of shoppers to converge (and jump the que) while maybe 6 of us looked on in disbelief. I can't afford to waist my time trying to find a way through your checkout system so I won't be going in there anymore however, if you are interested in seeing how British businesses operate why don't you look at how checkout staff do changeovers in other major stores. For your info, they change the person without closing the til, its that simple!!

Threw the strawberries away 1 day after buying them. They were mushy. The gherkins are disgusting and far too sweet, threw them away. The stir fry had a funny flavour and one from Sainsbury’s or M and S tastes 100 times better.

This is the second time this has happened with an online delivery. I placed my order over 3weeks ago,I received an email saying the parcel had been dispatched. When it got to 18 days and no parcel had been delivered I emailed customer service. They sent an email saying they would look into where my parcel was. Over 3 weeks later I get a phone call telling me The parcel had been lost in transit and did I still want the items or a refund. Well two items were for Mother’s Day and were out of stock last week as I’d checked. So the customer service is shocking.

Simply loved the staff review a few down. It says it all doesn't it, about this nasty company. Well done!! The dry soil plants is the same in any adli store wherever you go. No surprise there then. The surprise is that the reviewer gave them three stars. Then there is a four star review for a bar of chocolate. Sigh. Never mind. We all know don't we.

Don't work here especially if you are not local. (Must read!!) For Aldi Warehouse Queenborough (Isle of Sheppey...) Pros: (Clean) workplace apart from the canteen and toilets with the way staff treat them but it does have cleaners there. (Safe) working environment due to cameras everywhere inside and out. (Treats) - Aldi treat you at Christmas to pizza, shopping vouchers and throughout the year at other times to cakes. (Showers) - Showers are provided here which is never a bad thing in a workplace. Overtime - available sometimes but not paid usually if at all which can also be a con obviously too. Cons: Lack of hours - You are told that you will more than likely get more than 30 hours which you are contracted to but it is a lie. - You barely hit 30 most weeks (especially when management are trying to rush you out of the door so that Aldi can basically pay you a minimum wage payslip at the end of the month (based on 45 hours in other places a week) and so that they can save Aldi money and earn their bonuses. Aldi are very clever with reeling you in with a good hourly rate but not telling you all of this before you change job to join them. Lack of organisation Lack of uniform - Aldi barely give you anything and when it does come in they don't give it to who has requested it, they chuck it all on the floor so it is a free for all and everyone picks it up so you lose out or often don't get what you need and when you manage to get a hold of any the uniform is junk. The gloves don't keep your hands warm in the chilled area which you are in mainly, they get holes in them in no time, have no grip or your fingers don't go through the finger holes fully because of the design and because they are junk. Bad management - Management are only interested in themselves and getting their bonuses. They don't care about your health, ideas, concerns, or anything else you have to say unless it saves Aldi money or benefits them. They want you to pick 240 cases an hour which is achievable in most areas but no all like they say and even if you have an injury the c*cky management down there especially Ian on Pick to Zero says you can either do the job or not and they still expect you when injured which they cause in the first place by putting you under pressure to hit your targets which are raised if you are achieving them. -You can never do enough for them and they are always right. Bad pay - Your pay is up and down like a yo-yo from one month to the next. You have to average it out every 2 months or by the length of time you've been there to work out what you are being paid each month on average. - No good to anyone with a mortgage who needs a guaranteed amount every month. Aldi want to pay you as little as possible every month and managers get bonuses to reduce Aldis outgoings by rushing you out of the door and/or pick stock with you (rarely.) - To get into management you have to be lazy or no good at your job. They hook and reel people in by what they pay you an hour but what they don't tell you is that you will be rushed to get back out of the door and barely hit your 30 hours a week on contract of which they take back from you in terms of money from one month to the next if you haven't done 30 hours one week which is quite often. You also get looked at rudely and questioned like a criminal if you help out others picking during shift or at the end of shift and logistic assistants by stacking and dropping off pallets because they want you out of the door asap and don't want you trying to bump up your money. You are often told lies by management. Management tell you what you want to hear but do and think the opposite. Aldi don't pay you correctly. They try to get out of paying you overtime money and normal hours whereby possible. I am still owed overtime from the new year (3 months ago) hence why I didn't do it anymore along with the fact that you shouldn't have to do overtime to bring up your bad pay at the end of the month. Payslips - These are junk. The payslips in ways make it difficult to work out your wages (which Aldi probably want so they can not pay you if they think they can get away with it.) Staff - other normal staff has no manners some of them, leave waste on the tables in the canteen and spillages laying around. They also chuck rubbish and toilet rolls around everywhere in the toilets all over the floor. They spit unnecessarily, and leave their pee or faeces all over the toilet because they have no respect for others and are brought up badly like most people on the inbred island. Most staff are chavs and other undesirables that think they are something special. You also get staff here sticking up for Aldi and the management weirdly which I will never understand as you have to look out for yourself because other people don't look out for you especially management here. Some staff are rude and abusive here not being filtered out. Access card - you practically have to beg to get one of these as the management are useless, it's not for them so they are not bothered and when you have a bladder problem especially it is not on to have to wait months for these. Often these stop working too and then you have to wait months again. Security - these hassle you if you don't stick to the pathetic 5mph speed limit which is far too slow on such a huge site as it takes you forever to get to one side of the site to the other. These throw their weight around, some are abusive, not understanding just like management and are still there and employed somehow in the first place. You get 3 warnings for speeding over 5mph and then you have to park off-site and risk your car not getting vandalised, hit, or getting a ticket/towed away for where you park. When you are running late they don't care. Toilets - these flush every 5 seconds even when you haven't entered the cubicle like the management say with a hi-vis on as they say you should to stop the constant flushing and it's annoying when you are just trying to relax and go to the toilet on them. Foreigners - I am not racist but you can tell they don't like the English. Most are ok to you unlike at Lidl but all of them behind closed doors don't like you so it's best to avoid them where possible. Treat people as they treat you. They usually stick together away from you.

I have take deliver of a petrol pressure washer after 4 hours putting it together it would not work. I contacted customer services who arranged to collect it this monday 25th by XPD . we are now into Wednesday after taker 3 day off work waiting for it to be collected. Hoe many more times are Aldi going to promiss to collect this itme Not happy Garry Platten Wells Norfolk

I was going to write a not really complimentary review of this company but the previous review says it all, doesn't it. This company is as bad and as dreadful, as poorly written and awful as the review is. Why would anyone write that way is utterly beyond me.

Quality is absolutely rubbish!! Especially all the fruits. I bought fresh milk after open lid to serve my kids, big surprise actually it wasn't milk !! It was yoghurt. I tried to complain with the evidence but they cut the phone down.

I simply cannot believe the things I have just read on here, especially by "anonymous" two insertions. Come on. It's the same person for sure. Then there is the complete rubbish regarding Heinz etc having got their big opportunity from this dreadful company. Some of us recall just how long Heinz has been a major player. Long before aldi was even thought of. That is how the comment comes across due to the way it is written. The same person states that they buy all their clothing at aldi. Really? What cothing do they sell then? Suits, dresses bras, pants, trousers, blouses, jumpers, cardigans, vests, to name but a few? I have only ever seen things like socks, anoraks and a few types on kids stuff, Jumper suits and some sports stuff from time to time. Is that all clothing? Don't think so. No matter how often staff members write reviews it will never drift away from the main thing, and that is that aldi sell poor quality products especially their own brand things and lesser known brands. It is how they make their money, same as Lidl. If you want quality you have to pay for it.

Aldi charged me for an item I did not purchase and have refused to refund me the money they effectively stole from me. This happened due to their till process. They have accepted responsibility but do not care to resolve the matter. My advice is don't risk shopping at Aldi, in my experience if something goes wrong they will refuse to refund. Appalling.

Popped into my local store yesterday. Awful experience actually. Checkouts way too fast. What do they think we all are for goodness sake. There is nothing worse in any store than checkouts way too fast. Not fair for the older folk at all. Even when they open up more checkouts they are still way too fast. Poor choice of products in the main and not good quality at all. Dodgy fresh stuff and most without bb dates etc. Out of all the original staff there is only one left. Maybe a story there.
