Well there you go. Aldi should pay people to actually shop there and park, not the other way round. Shocking but not surprising. I have also heard about the new Tesco stores opening. I don't care about their bad quality food etc as I no longer shop there. I care about their terrible checkout system, as do others. Vote with your feet people and stop going. Consider the elderly and less able.

A parking ticket for spending 59 mins in your WestKirkby store is a joke. Sometimes I've been in there and the parking machine to enter your reg no isn't working so I'm expecting more tickets for spending over £6k a year in your stores. This is not how you build a relationship with your loyal customers.

The chances of finding "gone off" food in Marks and Spencer is almost nil. They have someone going round checking just that. In all my years of shopping with them I have never, not ever, had that experience. With Aldi though it can be found fairly often, especially so called vacuum packs not being airtight. A subject brought up by another "genuine" reviewer a while back. You sacrifice quality for cheap prices with Aldi. Still, up to the individual isn't it. I heard about Tesco other stores also. Great eh. Will watch with interest. Goodbye Aldi? Hope so.

Hmmm. Wondering how you managed to give them three stars then. Bit odd really. Still, it's one of those old same stories incidents. It's their bad quality isn't it, of their own brands I mean, and those dreadful checkouts. I sympathise with the wrong wine delivery and for sure never not ever rely on their customer services. I lived in the Netherlands for many years and can tell you it is the same over there too. All we can hope for is that Tesco's new stores, the name of which escapes me right now, to push out Aldi and Lidl, really catches on.

Been using Aldi for some years. Know the store from Germany. Good things about Aldi are the low prices which sometimes stay the same for 18 months or more. Products are mostly pretty good quality too. Recently maybe they have hired some folks from the the other supermarkets, but they have started to disappoint. Majorly, as was ever thus, everything is price matched with Lidl and vice versa - must be against competition law, mustn't it? Then, packs have fewer items inside for the same price; prices are going up by silly percentages. instead of some sort of inflation based 2-3% rise, its way above. People notice these things over time. Take eggs, for example - 10 large eggs and the last rises. Just be happy with lots of market share, turnover growth and therefore profit and the huge extra you make on booze versus Germany. And keep things in stock. It's okish to have to search through mounds of packs of frozen fruit for the Cherries you want, but not for there to be none there very frequently after all that effort! I could go on, but you get my drift. Don't take loyal customers for granted.

Ordered box of wine online. Received someone else's order, taking ages to resolve, kept having to wait in for someone to collect then to deliver correct order (still waiting...) Sent complaint. Girl phoned me up but she kept giving me incorrect facts and interrupting me. Definitely do not recommend. Don't know what the wine is like but going on the level of customer service not expecting much - still waiting to receive order!

There we are then. Another dissatisfied customer. The old speedy checkout issue raises it's head yet again. This particular store obviously has a local management and staff problem. It is a shocking company policy to have these super fast discriminating checkouts. They really do not care if you are elderly or less able than others to cope with them. ALL their stores are the same in this respect. Take heart though. There are other stores who do not share this disgraceful policy. USE THEM!!

A friend suggested shopping at Aldi, so tried the Chatteris, Cambridgeshire shop...well...the staff on the shop floor when I asked where I could find an item were unhelpful, comment was "well if we sell it, it will be somewhere on the shelf"! I found it badly laid out and as for the checkout... we shopped on Thursday 13th September and checked out at 12:35approx. Checkout 2. The girl was speaking and I said "sorry, I didnt hear you" to which I was answered "Im not talking to you!" The speed they 'throw' your items through the til with no space is ridiculous, my bathroom cleaner bottle got thrown through it ended up breaking the plastic top, when I said its no leakin, I got told "so" 😲 My mum was with me who is 74yrs old and terminally ill...the cashier was rude and very unhelpful when she was asked to slow down as she was struggling to pack.... I will never step foot back in Aldi again...The Managers need to sort the layout of the store and most importantly take their staff on a Customer Service course! They are very poor compared to the Coop they have purchased and taken over from.... Exceptionally disappointing...

Four stars because they had your notebook? Sigh. What about your actual store experience. You know, like cleanliness, their shockingly fast checkouts, their awful own products, stocking up from pallets when the store is open, and their treatment of the elderly and less able.

Another tale of woe, this time with a pressure washer. Sorry about your misfortune, but may it be a lesson to anyone else. You are quite right about your rights and, as usual, Aldi are wrong. What a company isn't it. Perhaps it is also a lesson to never not ever use Yodel for deliveries. If a seller quotes "other courier" for deliveries do all you can to find out who they are. I was in my local Aldi this morning, Dover, and watched as a woman packed her bags at the checkout. The checkout female lost the battle, for no matter how fast she went the woman packed at a sensible pace. Not slowly, but normally. It left me wondering if the message is finally getting through to people that they can in fact beat Aldi's dreadful speedy checkout policy. Well done. if I knew who you were I would give you four stars instead of the one I am giving here.

Never shop with Aldi online, they don't respect the law - Consumer Rights Act 2015, Sale of Goods or Distance Selling Regs. I ordered a £150 pressure washer and paid for next day delivery.. That didn't happen.. I called and was told it would be resolved. It wasn't delivered the next day. I called again and was informed that the utterly useless Yodel had lost my parcel. OK Please send another with next day delivery I reasonably request. No. We have to wait for the outcome of Yodel's investigation. OK I want my money back. No. We have to wait for the outcome of Yodel's investigation. WHAT? I ordered with next day delivery because I urgently need the item. Aldi has failed to fulfill the contract and is now refusing to give me a refund or replacement, even though they have confirmed that they have asked for the item to be either returned to them or compensated. As the customer my contract is with Aldi. I expect my goods or a refund immediately. I don't care that they have a problem with their fulfillment partner. It is their problem to resolve and I should not be penalised for their inept choice of carrier. That contract exists between Aldi and the useless Yodel and should have no detrimental effect upon my contract with awful Aldi. SHAME ON YOU. MY ORDER IS NOW 3 DAYS OVERDUE AND YOU REFUSE A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT. What will you do to put this right? NOTHING! Aldi's response to this message was, sorry, you'll just have to wait. This is in contravention of the consumer rights act 2015.

Avoid and Avoid I bought from them and cannot take it to the store, nor send by parcelforce, nor drop-off - my money is stuck so I will do a charge-back on my credit card as its fraud. Katie and Katrina are trying to help but this is 2 days of non collection. This is a fraudulent service.
