Have had 3 weeks search for a blanket my friend really wanted. First, it went out of stock online. Customer services tried to find one instore for me. No luck. Item came back online. Ordered it but a problem arose with delivery company. Customer services gave excellent support again. So impressed with your customer service people. They are just exceptional on the phone. Other companies please take note!

Went in to the acocks green store last week with my 16 year old son & 17 month old daughter. The lady on the till, Rea did not acknowledge me, she didn't look up she didn't register that we were there. Once I had loaded the conveyor belt which included 2 bottles of wine and walked to her til she said 'have you ID?' I said excuse me I am 34 and this is my son, she said 'I don't care I need ID'. I was really upset with her customer service and we started to argue as I pulled out my drivers licence, my son naturally became agitated and told her to watch her mouth. She jumped up from her seat and started punching her hand and raising her voice. She was quickly pulled away but I am fuming. My daughter was in the trolley at the till. I called head office to complain who were reasonable over the phone and assured me it would be dealt with but my information & contact details were not taken. I hope she's sacked

That's okay but what about the dreadful checkouts and the only positive reviews being put on here by staff members mostly. Of course the previous one could be genuine but the way it is written seems to suggest otherwise. Fresh produce mostly comes from within this country. I know this because a friend is in the supply industry. It is, in the main, ok quality as aldi are very fussy. However, the same cannot be said for their other products which of course are not good quality at all. Cheap food stuffs will always denote poor quality. It is how it works and there is no way it can ever be otherwise. Customer service is generally poor and watch out for the returns fiasco in many cases. If you like to shop quickly and get out quickly, not caring about too fast checkout speeds, then great, this is the company for you. If not then go elsewhere.

Im very happy shopping in aldis Grimsby and also in Gainsborough i thought the staff were fantastic decent priced food and very good supermarket. I got everything there at a excellent prices. The staff dont keep you waiting for long in the queue if they see people in the queue they open up another till for customers which i thought was great and very good customer service. They are always happy and helpful very friendly and always smiling which is always a delight to see.

Yes. The wrongly priced wrong position trick. You think you have paid, say, £1:50 but have actually paid, for example, £2. I dislike aldi a great deal, but have to say they are not alone in this nasty practice to which they will always plead innocence. I went into my local store, not for myself mind you but as a special favour for a dear friend, to buy some bread machine bread mix. One bag of brown and one of white. Ok, they were only 59p compared to Wrights for £1. The brown was an utter disgrace. Yes, the correct amount of water was used. It was seriously heavy and somewhat dampish. It seems the Germans like heavy dense bread, but this is England for goodness sake. The white wasn't damp but so light it was almost impossible to cut and simply squashed up. For me it simply confirmed the quality of this company's own products, cheap and nasty. To those who say otherwise, well....good luck.

Decent priced items, good selection of food on offer. Much cheaper than main supermarkets, only issue is there can be large queues, some stores have narrow isles

Today punched 1kg loin of vacuum packed loin of pork. Once removed from the packaging actually weighed 959grms. Packaging should not be included in the net weight of the meat.

Washington galleries always queues. Often items mispriced or under wrong price header so when you look at receipt you've paid more than expected. If you are in a long queue another till is opened and then all people at end of queue go to new til and are served first

Strange thing. I sometimes use this last resort chain for one or two items only and would not dream of using it for anything else. Asking around people I know it turns out they all do likewise, just one or two items only. When I ask why it is for a variety of reasons, two of which I will list here. Fresh produce they mainly leave alone because of the lack of "use by" and "best before" dates. Although some items do have an obscure coding so staff know. Actually these can be found online. Next is untidiness. Next are the checkouts being ludicrously fast.

Dessert Menu - Profiterole - Awful - not enough profiterole and far too much sauce, contains alcohol, which was disappointing and couldn't give to the children but they probably wouldn't have liked them anyway.

Another staff posting I see, possibly management even. To say that these stores are disabled friendly really gives the game away! It is well known by all and sundry that Aldi stores are not at all disabled friendly or anyone less able and/or elderly and not so quick. Convenient layout? Come on, we all know that this is simply not so. Nothing here about their quality. I agree "some" things are ok and of reasonable quality, but these tend to be chocolate bars and the like and not nourishing "real" food.

I more or less agree with Rich apart from one or two things. These stores are a nightmare to navigate and shelf fillers are always somewhere getting in your way in their awfully narrow walkways. Checkouts? Don't even go there! I like the person who asked...."Will Aldi go too when we leave the EU".
