“What's not to love? Amazing prices and superior products. Some people look down on non branded items but from experience they are more often than not a lot better than the big boys. Remember, Heinz started small as did Coke, Pepsi and many others. It wasn't until a company like Aldi gave them a chance to sell their products that they became famous. Just because you don't know the name doesn't mean it isn't top quality. I love shopping at Aldi for this reason, the products they offer really are different and better. The low prices help so much and I look forward every week to going shopping now. I am a big fan of the special buys and all of my clothing is also from Aldi. If you have not tried Aldi yet you are missing out.”

“Aldi charged me for an item I did not purchase and have refused to refund me the money they effectively stole from me. This happened due to their till process. They have accepted responsibility but do not care to resolve the matter. My advice is don't risk shopping at Aldi, in my experience if something goes wrong they will refuse to refund. Appalling.”
“Popped into my local store yesterday. Awful experience actually. Checkouts way too fast. What do they think we all are for goodness sake. There is nothing worse in any store than checkouts way too fast. Not fair for the older folk at all. Even when they open up more checkouts they are still way too fast. Poor choice of products in the main and not good quality at all. Dodgy fresh stuff and most without bb dates etc. Out of all the original staff there is only one left. Maybe a story there.”

“Been Tunstall aldi after work 6.30pm and the shelves have been empty on 3 occassions. Veg and fruit, limited raw meat, freezers virtually empty. Tunstall store was revamped yet nothing on shelves, so disappointed as we usually spend between £80 to £100 per week on shopping, but walked out with nothing but none perishables. We had to go shopping to Morrisons to spend our money! Disappointed with lack of demand and various items left on shop floor.
Sorry aldi but will be shopping elsewhere.”
“The way you treat your plants is shocking. A camellia in store, bone dry. I was told it would end up in the bin. Don't stock plants if you are not going to look after them.”
“Quite honestly, going by the negative reviews on this site, I am left wondering why this dreadful company don't seem to care. If they did they would change things. The worst shopping experience anyone could possibly have is with this company, from my point of view anyway. Fresh foods without bb dates etc, untidy stores, ridiculously fast checkouts and poor quality own brand foodstuffs, especially frozen foods. Will they ever learn? I doubt it. At least in LIdl you can see where you are going with nice bright lights. Oh, and in the summer the staff do not water the plants properly.”
“Have had 3 weeks search for a blanket my friend really wanted. First, it went out of stock online. Customer services tried to find one instore for me. No luck. Item came back online. Ordered it but a problem arose with delivery company. Customer services gave excellent support again. So impressed with your customer service people. They are just exceptional on the phone. Other companies please take note!”

“Went in to the acocks green store last week with my 16 year old son & 17 month old daughter. The lady on the till, Rea did not acknowledge me, she didn't look up she didn't register that we were there. Once I had loaded the conveyor belt which included 2 bottles of wine and walked to her til she said 'have you ID?' I said excuse me I am 34 and this is my son, she said 'I don't care I need ID'. I was really upset with her customer service and we started to argue as I pulled out my drivers licence, my son naturally became agitated and told her to watch her mouth. She jumped up from her seat and started punching her hand and raising her voice. She was quickly pulled away but I am fuming. My daughter was in the trolley at the till. I called head office to complain who were reasonable over the phone and assured me it would be dealt with but my information & contact details were not taken. I hope she's sacked”
“That's okay but what about the dreadful checkouts and the only positive reviews being put on here by staff members mostly. Of course the previous one could be genuine but the way it is written seems to suggest otherwise. Fresh produce mostly comes from within this country. I know this because a friend is in the supply industry. It is, in the main, ok quality as aldi are very fussy. However, the same cannot be said for their other products which of course are not good quality at all. Cheap food stuffs will always denote poor quality. It is how it works and there is no way it can ever be otherwise. Customer service is generally poor and watch out for the returns fiasco in many cases. If you like to shop quickly and get out quickly, not caring about too fast checkout speeds, then great, this is the company for you. If not then go elsewhere.”
