Dessert Menu - Profiterole - Awful - not enough profiterole and far too much sauce, contains alcohol, which was disappointing and couldn't give to the children but they probably wouldn't have liked them anyway.

Another staff posting I see, possibly management even. To say that these stores are disabled friendly really gives the game away! It is well known by all and sundry that Aldi stores are not at all disabled friendly or anyone less able and/or elderly and not so quick. Convenient layout? Come on, we all know that this is simply not so. Nothing here about their quality. I agree "some" things are ok and of reasonable quality, but these tend to be chocolate bars and the like and not nourishing "real" food.

Me gusta Aldi y sus productos, acabo de salir del supermercado y por primera vez en 7 años encontré una cajera desagradable que ni siquiera saludó y su cara refleja total frustración, fue muy desagradable intercambiar con ella. Una papa podrida es mejor quitarla del grupo antes que contamine a las demás.

I more or less agree with Rich apart from one or two things. These stores are a nightmare to navigate and shelf fillers are always somewhere getting in your way in their awfully narrow walkways. Checkouts? Don't even go there! I like the person who asked...."Will Aldi go too when we leave the EU".

Positives: Very good prices, Stores are a nice and easily navigable size Negatives: Customer service is not their forte (checkouts are a nightmare) Their own brands are deceptive similar to existing ones (e.g. Bramwells vs. Branston) Not all products are as good value as they appear. Shelf fillers not aware of own surroundings. I've been pushed aside by them a few times. I won't be returning.

To save £3000 in one year by shopping at Aldi is surely some sort of record. It amounts to around £60 each week. I don't understand this to be honest and think it must be a typo. Nevertheless you are correct about the staff in these stores, by and large. Some are ok but most are not. I am wondering when we leave the EU if Aldi will go too.

customer service is not that great the cashier are very rude but other than that great value for money i have saved £3000 last year from changing to aldi.

You are quite correct. Aldi are slipping price increases in by stealth, now they have people believing they offer quality for peanuts. It simply cannot be done. You are right too about the dreadful narrow aisles through some of their atomically powered checkouts. What they need are those trollies like Tesco have that check what you buy as you put it in your trolley. You can even pay the same way!! GREAT for all those poor people who simply cannot keep up with their speed artists. I watched the other day as a woman refused to use the annoying packing shelves in my local Aldi and packed at the checkout, much to the annoyance of the checkout female. No matter how fast she went the woman kept pace with her packing. WELL DONE whoever you were. I plan to do the same soon.

I have loved shopping at Aldi stores for years. Recently the Bury St. Edmunds shop was refurbished. It was definitely a big mistake because now the isles are far too narrow, you cannot find half of the products you want, not to mention the price rises every week. Has anyone else noticed the extra 10p’s going on lots of items each week? Such a shame really because Aldi were such good value, but today, not as good as they used to be. Please open up the Isles so that you can have trolleys passing one another without diffuculty, and take the flower stand away from the front entrance so that you can enter the shop without bumping into everyone buying flowers.

Yes, they did do fairly well over the Christmas period. However, this does not mean that it was the quality of their products that made this possible but the cheapness of them. In an age when many people have to count their pennies they are prepared to shun quality for prices. Lidl works the same way too although the quality at their stores is of course slightly better. Oh, and they do not operate unfair checkouts either.

I find it strange that the previous review awarded aldi three stars. Nothing nice to say really but three stars. Pallets of stock in the way is a day to day occurrence in these stores. Yes, staff are pressurised but no excuse really for bad response when asked for a new checkout to be opened. Aldi pay over the odds and it is this that attracts new recruits. They are a shockingly nasty company to work for and staff turnover is high. No surprises why. Whether stock is good value is highly debatable. Certainly not unbranded items. One does get what one pays for. Then of course, like other reviewers, there is the terrible policy of SPEED at checkouts come what may. It makes no difference how infirm or old you may be. Like somebody else said, this policy can be reversed, but it seems that not enough customers care enough to do so. SIGH. Happy 2019 then.

Aldi is great value for money but its customer service is non-existent.On a weekly visit yesterday to the Nantwich branch, the staff looked harassed, it was difficult to navigate around the shop as so much stuff was being shifted after the holiday and it was just unpleasant. There was a long queue at the till (and this was soon after the store opened), a new till was NOT opened and when I called out to the assistant at the till asking if another one could be opened (and I did say please!), the reply was 'No'! I was dumbfounded by this rudeness but another till was opened and I am wondering what kind of pressure the employees are under to behave in such a fashion. Lots of room for improvement here!

Really annoyed with the otherwise great Aldi's appalling delivery service - don't bother with it - it's worse than hermes! (perhaps it's being fulfilled by hermes)

Can I just say I have enjoyed yr mince pies the most out of a little survey I done myself with stores and makes and found yrs the most tasty holly lane mince pies and the pastry was crisp and tasty , thank you Aldi Crawley store and staff r very nice too 👍

Well all supermarkets will do that so nothing spectacular about Aldi doing so. It really isn't a one off for that single store. Christmas is here once again and we will all be ripped off wherever we go. I do hope that in 2019 Aldi will change their disgraceful policy towards the elderly and less able at their dreadful checkouts. They should not be simply for those who are able to keep up with them. We, the public, have it within our power to force Aldi to change their attitude and stop their high speed checkouts. Doesn't anyone care at all? No good stating that the staff have no choice other than to carry out their instructions. They do. They can refuse to do so or leave. It is a company policy that affects all within, per instructions. Come on!! Have some feeling for those less able. COMPLAIN ON HERE. Aldi do frequent this site with false positive reviews at times and they do read the comments. Doesn't anyone recall when we cared for each other?
