Mouldy veg within days of purchase. St helens have beggars at the door so you feel intimidated.

I assume you mean "oh my goodness". One item does not mean that all their products are of good quality. Far from it. Another fake one perhaps. Staff member no doubt. As for the beef Wellington it seems to have lived up to it's name very well. Tough as old boots. Makes one wonder how come it still got three stars. Christmas Fayre? Go to Asda.

Apart from the usual amount of fake reviews of late, aldi live up to their bad reviews. Yes, I did know that this company had just suffered their worse financial year ever, and no surprises really. Their home delivery still rates the highest of all for being extremely bad with zero customer service regarding non or late delivery. It is still anti older less able customer service, and still has it's ludicrous jet propelled checkouts. It still has it's not good quality food items (what you get for the price) and still fills shelves from pallets when the store is open.

Ordered goods and paid for NEXT DAY DELIVERY waited in as it was a wine order and required a signature. Nothing arrived. Telephoned and told to wait until 8pm for delivery as they were experiencing despatch delays. Nothing arrived telephoned next day only to be told same, asked for refund of my next day charge, which isn't much compensation. Also told they have NO IDEA when Yodel will deliver my wine UP TO 7 DAYS I required this for an engagement party and will now need to go out and buy another £100 worth of goods. Disgraceful service and nothing for the inconvenience. If no signature available the order will be returned, what a joke, do they think people can stay in and wait for it to turn up. Do not order from this company, totally unreliable, this is not the first time this has happened.

Made online delivery order for delivery on Saturday 9th Nov 19. Order has just arrived today 12th Nov. Items ordered were for a special occasion on Sunday 10th Nov 19 so paid the Sat delivery fee. E-mailed Aldi customer services on the Sunday. No reply received or refund for Sat delivery fee. Feel sorry for Yodel who delivered today and probably get the criticism for late delivery

Awful staff. throwing people threw the isles to maximise profits. Tills barely staffed as staff are deployed stocking the shelves of goods they have just beeped out. Management have no clue and are rude to customers. Show elsewhere and keep the money in local shops economy.

Terrible customer services. Promised collection of faulty product (too big and heavy to take back to a store) ordered on line. Waited in two whole nominated days for collection. nothing. Numerous phone calls, promised calls back, nothing happened. Will someone tell the director responsible for customer services to wake up. No point in having online orders if they cannot do better than this.

Truly awful experience - will never step foot in an Aldi store ever again and I am adfvising my family and friends to do the same. Foolishly I trusted Aldi and bought a gazebo in the summer. Got the gazebo out of the box and put it up and it bent immediately - totally unfit for purpose, thin metal poorly put together, screws loose and couldn't be tightened without them stripping out - rubbish, rubbish, rubbish - stitching came apart - total rubbish. I had the same response as some other reviewers and was told to speak to a 3rd party not Aldi- the 3rd party were based in Germany - the gazebo came from China. I refused to give the 3rd party my home address as I didn't want a replacement rubbish unit - the 3rd party promised in writing they would not send me anything but I had to give my home address - so - stupidly - I did trust them and did give my home address and sure enough a few days later another pile of Chinese junk rolled up - delivered direct from Germany ! The saga has continued - I still have a pile of junk in my hall - I won't bore you with the rest of the details - it's ongoing. Environemtally - Aldi are 100% killing the planet - containers of c**p gazebos shipped from China - distributed around the UK - sent back to Germany - sent back to England - sent back to Germany - sent back to England and finally end up in landfill. Aldi - please CHANGE and care for our planet. Your are rubbish - just like the products you sell.

I agree with that. Buy lots and lots of items there and save money. Thing is this.....is it value and good quality? Without writing an essay the short answer is no. If people are on fixed budgets, and many are, nothing wrong with that is there, then this company is for them. Nothing wrong with that either. It certainly does NOT make me a snob simply because I can afford to go elsewhere. Even I go there from time to time to look for their electrical things etc.

Well done aldi for showing this country can survive on it's own? That remark could not be more wrong if some staff member really tried harder. Aldi is a GERMAN company for goodness sake!! Doesn't the following remark simply add fuel to the widely held view that this company are not at all friendly. I QUOTE...."For all the snobs who want to go in, but won't, carry on throwing your money away!!!!!!" Snobs? Because we like to shop elsewhere? I would like to see FAKE reviews removed from this site as they are not only wrong but they actually give Aldi an even worse name than they already have. There is much more I could say but but I do not like to be nasty.

Aldi work ethics? You surely are confusing this company with another. Aldi have no work ethics whatsoever. They treat their staff badly, are discriminating towards the elderly, stock their shelves during busy times.(if they have any) getting in everyones way. Their fresh produce is normally about to expire and some will have unreadable bb dates etc upon them unless you are smart enough to find them out online. The checkout staff get annoyed if you dare try to pack your trolley at the checkout. (more are doing so and good for them) Aldi sell cheap food because that is exactly what it is. You will not get quality for low prices. At times their non food items can be not too bad. Of course, it is entirely possible that their may be the odd store here and there which runs along non company policy lines, but do not hold your breath looking for one.

Two power tools doesn't indicate quality of food items does it? So the four stars is not for that then. Bit confusing really. I mean, you cannot actually eat them can you. So that means the four stars are not indicative of other stock which you don't mention. Does that mean the Rothwell store doesn't discriminate against the elderly and less able? Do their checkout staff not speed items through the checkouts? Must be the only one which doesn't. Hmm. That cannot be though because they are told to use that speed. Oh well. No mention of prices at all at Rothwell. Cheap of course, and no doubt as Aldi supply all stores with same stock it is of the usual low quality.

You will never not ever stop checkout staff from speeding your goods through way too fast. It is what they do come, what may. They have to do so. It is why this nasty little company recently published their worse ever trading results. That and their shoddy goods. It matters not if you are elderly or otherwise as fast it will be. They can be beaten of course by simply going at your own pace and packing your trolley at the end of the conveyer, but why should you have to resort to this anyway. If the staff had any feelings they would slow down at least for the older folks among us regardless of what management said. They won't though. Aldi offer cheap goods and not quality. The best company for recognising that not all of us are agile and capable is Morrisons. They will ALWAYS slow down for the elderly etc...AND...will go at a sensible speed anyway for the rest of us. Keep away from Aldi or if you must shop there make your feelings known on sites like this one. THEY XAN BE BEATEN.

Aldi products have got worse over the last few years. I now only buy essential goods like bread and milk. Also , prices are more expensive than branded goods I can find in my local home bargains store. Fruit and veg not good either, always has short use by date. What is good about my local store is the staff are always helpful and cheerful. carolpeter61@gmail.com

Alice? Another fake one for the Coulsdon store. It must for sure be bad there. I also heard about Aldi having their worse year to date. Not surprised really with their low quality stock. Most of it anyway, especially fresh items. .

Don't hold your breath while waiting for your money back on an overcharge!! This company have just published their yearly results and guess what, their profits are way down. No surprises there at all then. In desperation they announce that they are going to open many more stores to try and compensate. Closing a lot would be in the right direction wouldn't it. Aldi will never really catch on in this country with their inferior goods, especially food items. Nasty low quality is what you pay for and get.

Aldi - check your receipts! I've been to my local Aldi last Friday 6th September as usual and before I left the car park noticed I was overcharged. After not getting the attention from the store staff ( because they were to busy) I decided to get in touch with Customer Service Team of Aldi with copies and photo's attached. Got a reply ''Thank you for your email, we can confirm that we have received your enquiry. A member of our team will get back to you within 2 working days. '' Still waiting for a response ! If it was Tesco I would be given a refund straight away (double the difference back). I would imagine Aldi is making a big profit from people not checking their bills. I will not be shopping there until I got my money back.
