I am utterly disappointed today, after long wait I received the tool in used and poor condition. It’s unethical to sell something as new when it’s used.

I was just watching tv and the latest Aldi advert came on. Must have spent a fortune on it, but why. I recognised none of the brands, as usual, and all looked dodgy to me. At least there was no mention of them being good quality, only cheaper. Oh well. That's Aldi for you.

Waitrose comes out tops for quality, according to Which?. Lidl and Aldi rate high for prices. That means then that they are not very good on quality, which we all know anyway. You are right about the hello, thank you and goodbyes. It is the same in any of their stores I have been in. Must be the pressure they are under or they are out of breath from rushing everything through their checkout too fast. Not a customer friendly company for sure. Certainly not an older/ less able friendly one. Never mind. We know what to do don't we.

At the checkout in the Fort William store the other day and not very friendly service. No 'hello', no smile and no 'bye' in fact I left feeling just miserable. Certainly not as friendly as Morrisons. Must try harder I am afraid, this is Britain not Germany.

I have just been reading some utterly ludicrous reviews online regarding if this company is cheaper than Asda etc. The results all show that it is. What the results do not state is if the quality was better at Aldi. How come then that people rave about Aldi (not here though) and never say anything about quality, only price. Folks, quality does matter. What is the point of buying something for, say, £2, only to discover it is not as nice as the one at, say, Asda for £2:50. Naturally some people can only afford Aldi prices, and that's fine, but please do be honest about the quality.

Unlike the Kirkby store highly suspicious reviews, two of them, from the same person, but both were different, this one is very real. Went into my Dover, Aldi store this morning and found it no different really as far as untidiness goes, especially where all the cheap non food items were. However, on the other hand the store was surprisingly clean with only one cage waiting to be offloaded. Everything else was much the same as far as food items was concerned. Same inferior quality goods and same mystical codings on fresh food. You know, bb dates etc. The codes and how to decipher them can be found on the internet.

Come on now. That is just so fake it is almost beyond belief. In fact it is a bit of an insult really to other peoples intelligence. Even I, who does some shopping in Aldi, am only too aware of the failings of them all in one way or another, and in many cases more than one way. No supermarket is ever going to be awarded such 100% glowing comments. Never mind. I am referring to the review below this one. It depends on what one is satisfied with regarding quality doesn't it. Prices do reflect quality in any supermarket, with rare exceptions. I agree with one review which pointed out how this company's review points are steadily creeping down.

Aldi are at it once more with their advertising of products using Good Housekeeping to back them up. Good Housekeeping gave them good points for cheapness, not quality. a play on words.

Ah yes, the old cute name trick for whiskey by Aldi. I do not drink it but believe every word you wrote. This company made their highest profit this year for the xmas period. Shamefully they made it on alcohol products only, spirits etc. Hmmm. Masses of disappointed people then. I think we all read the accounts in the press regarding their poultry calamities for the festive season!! Says a lot eh. If they cannot get it right for the seasonal festivities, when can they.

Glen Marnoch Limited release Islay single malt scotch whiskey at £17.49 a 70cl bottle to a whiskey has to be very appealing, therefore no surprise I didn’t think twice about buying one to entertain a few family visitors who themselves enjoy a good single malt. My own experience and those who tasted it could not have been more disappointing and disastrous! It tasted and smelled like raw methylated spirit used for cleaning paint brushes and that’s no exaggeration whatsoever! To describe it on the label as “A traditional peat smoked Islay whisky featuring a slight sea air, with rich nuttiness, gentle sweetness and lingering smokey-sweet malty notes” is plain rubbish and completely nonsensical! I have never tasted such a horrible “single malt whiskey from Islay! In fact, malt whiskey produced in Islay is my favourite!

Poor parkingsharp? Sigh. Well they would flock all round your wife wouldn't they. Trying to save their skins. You do not state what sort of object/item it was. Hope she is ok. If it was something sharp that was not meant to be then you should report them to trading standards and also take them to court. Truly shocking episode. Hope your wife is ok now.

Utterly disgracefull. Aldi treat all elderly people the same way mostly, especially the Dover store, or they did. The problem as I see it is that Aldi do not ever visit this site, hence the continuing issue re the elderly and less able. Mostly they likely visit TrustPilot, but that company is riddled with fake reviews. At least Aldi are creeping ever nearer to under 50% favourable reviews on here. You should contact Aldi on their website and complain about this store and what happened. Do not hold your breath for a reply though.

Try Iceland's or B&M's 4ply. It works out much cheaper.

Aldi had their highest profits this Christmas. Sadly, this was achieved through the sale of alcohol. Not good at all, so it means that in fact their sale of food items was actually down. The trend continues then with people realising that their cheap food items simply do not mean quality.

Very good idea too. Lots of others on here with same complaint. Christmas time too. So many bad reviews on here it makes you wonder how their overall score is 51%.

Bought a large chicken on the 31st dec with a use by date of 5th Jan 2020, I was today the 2nd Jan going to have it for our tea only to open the wrapper to a not very nice smell. I have decided not to eat it as I dont want to take the chance of getting food poisoning I have 2 small grandchildren staying with me. I will not be buying any other fresh meat from aldi in the future.
