“Ashfields Chicken En Croute.
Please don't buy this product. I've shopped in Aldi lots of times and most things have been great. However this is awful. I froze it on the day I bought it. Left it out to defrost in the morning and cooked it as instructed for dinner. When cooked it was disgusting. Its extremely oily and the bacon used in it is just fat! There was no meat on it at all. The chicken was soggy and greasy as hell. Do yourself a favour don't even try it.”
“Pretty much everything in the nedrow store is a 1 Star. Stiockers give the impression they’d rather be anywhere else. Cashiers really win the boobie prize though. When they did finally open another line this cashier was rude, dismissive and was gabbing to the other cashier behind her. This was about an hour after the store opened. If it wasn’t for the runaway inflation, I don’t think half of the customers they get now wouldn’t even walk in the door here.
They NEVER put items into your bag and today she was dropping them almost a foot into the cart - except the eggs- the height has to be a new record! Other Aldi’s in better neighborhoods actually pack the bags and when I mentioned they don’t do this in Syracuse & Nedrow and she just smiled and said “we’re nicer here!
Stores with the same name with a difference of night and day.”
“I’ve always shopped in your store but from today I will never go back.
I was told to go to checkout 4 which I did but let another customer in front as she only had a few items. I loaded my shopping in the cart and scanned my debit card. The reader said to put card in, I let the cashier know just so she would instruct me to do so. Her attitude was very aggressive stating if it says put card in to do it. Stating after 3 uses of card u have to put card in. I said I tried that the last time and was stopped and asked to scan card again. She went onto say no that does not happen.Customer service skills and her attitude was terrible.
After collecting my receipt I did say I’m not 5. She then went onto say in a loud voice and I’m not 5 either.
I returned cart and went back to ask the lady’s name (I asked in a polite low toned manner)and she was chatting to 2 other staff members discussing me and laughing. She gave me her name and said I don’t have to give you my name and shouted I was rude. I said she was rude and she went onto shout get out get out several times as I was leaving.
I have never been spoken to like that by no one. I will take my custom elsewhere in future. I shall be writing to head office regarding the customer care I was given.
At no point did I shout at her and please review ctv. I can’t express how insulted I felt and how aggressive she was.
I have always followed any instruction given by staff at any store and thanked them for service. I’m sure this is not how Aldi would expect staff to communicate with customers. I am very disappointed and will make a point never to shop in Aldi again if that’s how I will be treated.
All of the staff I have been served by in the past always had excellent customer service skills and were very helpful. This lady needs some training in customer service. In no way did I disrespect her but was made to feel that I did something wrong by asking for instruction on the card reader.”
“Bought a lot of food at Aldi for Easter lunch. The bag of potatoes when cut into were mainly rotten.. so had to throw majority away!! Cmon Aldi do better!”
“The produce was great for a while. Now the fruit and vegetables are terrible. The bananas are tasteless, apples are small. Bruised & frozen. The lettuce is dirty and limp. There’s more wrong with the produce but I don’t have time to go on.
I shop in other stores for my produce & would suggest you do too.”
“I ordered a compactor plate, with Aldi confirming I would receive it within the 7 days, which was ideal.
However 2 days before I got told there was a slight delay, I would be updated within 24hours. This didn’t happen and I chased Aldi up, they chased up the courier but again there was no update, now almost a week over due!
The matter was escalated, they chased up the courier but advised it couldn’t be found and acknowledged that I would be offered compensation with service being so poor.
I asked for a refund after having to hire a replacement.
The courier was now trying to find the item. After the weekend, with no notice it was delivered at my home address. The item was not too n a pallet and clearly not looked after, it almost falls out the box it was sent in.
Aldi was unaware of this prior to delivery and offered to provide £50 of Aldi vouchers if I accepted the item, however I asked just for the refund as previously requested.
I now wait for collection prior to gaining the refund, although there is now no mention of any compensation for this poor experience, which after the wasted time, being out of pocket, and wasted time chasing up Aldi, in return I just have had stress and unnecessary wasted time.
I won’t be recommending Aldi Friday r offering good customer service at all and will readily share my experience.”

“I live nearby so I usually stop at the Nedrow location. When I do, the experience is worse than the previous time here. On a recent Saturday I stopped when they opened to pick up a few items and they didn’t disappoint!
I was the only one in line and the cashier just opened. I put my open bag in the cart, hoping she would fill it as she scanned the items. Instead, she shot me a dirty look and tossed them into the cart.
She handed me the receipt and didn’t say a word, but I thanked her. I filled my bag and left the store and made up my mind to drive to the Fayetteville location next time. They actually fill the bag as you check out, seem like they enjoy working there! take pride in customer service and actually talk to you.
Same name on the store but a world of difference!”
“Sent the following to Aldi customer services, to which, unsurprisnly, there's been no response:
"I have just been my local Aldi in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, and whilst looking at products, was approached by a member of your staff who said "Sir, can you refrain fom opening the products" to which I responded "That they'd already been opened" to which I got a smug sarcastic look
To make matters worse, this employee then served me on a checkout and didn't say a single word to me but was fine with the person before me and after me
To say that I'm extremly annoyed is a major understatement
I bring this to your attention as this level of 'customer service' is simply not acceptable and I'm sure that it falls short of the standards that you expect from your employees. I can provide more details on the particular employee if requied"
Budget shop, and some, budget staff....the majority are brilliant, but these attitudes will only lose business, business that keeps these surly employees employed.”
“I happen to love shopping at ALDIs. However I encountered a very surly employee today. I asked her if she could move a box of drinks that were on a top shelf and she grabbed them and threw them down to a lower shelf. It was so forceful that it scared me as I thought they were going to fall on me. I’ve never encountered someone in ALDIs with such a negative attitude. I’ve always had people go out of their way to be pleasant. This was at the ALDIs on Shore dr. Hope I don’t have to see her again.”
“Ordered 6x6 keter shed on 2 march 2022 paid £470 supposingly 2 to 7 days delivery, 9th of march informed that courier had received shed from aldi it was now at their depot ready for delivery, since then nothing we have phoned aldi and emailed on several occasions, only to be told that the courier had not been in touch with them also they couldn't give us anymore information till the courier had emailed them as to were the shed was.it was obvious by the 21st there wasn't going to be any delivery,of a shed I told aldi I needed a refund as I needed MY money to purchase another shed we had seen they refused saying they were entitled to hang on to my money for 30 day eventually they admitted wrong and I received a refund on the 23 March 2022 ,but by then the other shed I was intending to purchase had sold, shame on you Aldi ,your a large company and should have done better we are pensioners with not enough money for it to be in your hands ,when we needed it to purchase another shed.”
“Missing parts from online purchase, customer services only lie and send you on wild goose chases. I now want return the generator since it is too much of a hassle even that is a nightmare. Will I ever get my money back!”
“Nearly a month still no product they don't keep you updated very poor service now been told have to wait 10 to 14 days for refund when I was emailed saying 3 to 5 avoid aldi at all cost like to take money but don't like paying it back”
“My order was placed on 27th February, and the item was advertised as having a 2-7day delivery window. It was dispatched on 28th February.
By 8th March, it hadn’t arrived - 7 working days had now passed. I called the customer service number for advice, and as a result, the tracking details were updated by XDP. The item was dispatched on 28th Feb but as of 9th Feb (when XDP then updated their tracking details), there was no delivery date indicated. The £9.95 delivery charge was refunded at this point, but Aldi still have £460 of my money and I have no item.
I’ve communicated with Aldi throughout this period via email, on Messenger and on the Facebook page. Nobody has found a resolution, and nobody has been able to contact XDP and locate the item, or advise on a delivery date.
Tonight, I have called the customer service line again. It is now 13 working days since dispatch. The lady who answered agreed that this was no beyond the point of waiting for delivery, and called her manager to authorise a refund. He refused. He said I had to wait ten working days as items are usually delivered in this window (which I was also told when I called last week).
I explained that I had waited 13 days already, and that she needed to go back to the manager and ensure that he understood that it has been 13 days already. She suggested I had called her a liar (I never mentioned that word or even hinted at it - I had suggested that the manager didn’t understand how long I’d waited). She tried again, but the manager refused. He said I need to wait ten working days from when XDP last updated their system, which is an entirely different expectation to the one outlined last week, which was to wait ten days from dispatch.
She refused to let me speak to that manager - it is not Aldi policy to do so. How can this be the case? How can customers have no way of escalating a complaint?”
“Recently Aldi sold their car park to a private parking company. Today i received a penalty change notification for £100 because my blue badge had slid off the dashboard. I parked in a disabled bay because i have a badge. It was 8pm on a Saturday night and the store was not busy. Because of my anxiety i like to use the store when it's quieter. I only called for a few essential items like bread and milk and was in the store for around 10 minutes. I am unable to work and receive benefits. I really cannot afford this fine. I will no longer be a loyal customer of this store. 🤬 You!”
“Ordered a Jackhammer (online only). Couriers tracking recorded collection a month ago and subsequently five failed attempts to deliver it (not on which was our fault). Unable to connect with the the courier's so-called customer service team due to them being inundated (I wonder why?), I resorted to phoning Aldi's. Give us 48hrs to look into it they said. A week later with no news, the same promise and failure a second time. The product is no longer available so the can't replace it, and I'm still awaiting a refund in order to buy one elsewhere. Total shambles! I can't complete most of the review because it doesn't allow for non-delivery and non-refund.”
“Not had a bad experience, but very disappointed unable to purchase batteries for my Ferrex products. I’ve been trying for over six months in store and on line, none available. My concern is that I’ve purchased lots of these products, no batteries with any of them. I currently have six products I can’t use because no batteries. Can you advise where, when I can get them.”
“I went to Aldi today and picked up a handful of items. The check out person first dropped one of the items on the floor and said ooops the total was Apx $18 and I gave her a $50 and she gave me change for a 20. Then she said oh yea you gave me a 50. Then she said I have to have a manager come over . Then I had to wait while they took the drawer back to the office and counted it. They did determine I did indeed give her a $50 and they did apologize but I had to wait around Apx 20 minutes while this was happening making me late for other things. It was also at end of shift and the check out person was going home. They said that they have been scammed in the past so they have to verify which I understand but she acknowledged I gave her a 50 and it seems a little bit fishy that it happened at the end of her shift. Mistakes happen but this was very annoying as it waisted my time for nothing. I asked how are they going to make this right other then an aPology and crickets. Also on the way out when I was talking to a supervisor the check out person made a inappropriate comment which the supervisor said she will deal with her inappropriatenesses. My first thought was perhaps this was a scam who knows but it sure felt that way.”
“Still waiting for £40 parking fine refund. Its a joke don’t park in Aldi car parks they fine you, cancel your fine then don’t give your money back. Boycott Aldi, park on the street not in there auto fine car parks. Unscrupulous. I’m seething.”
