“After having a new porch in grey last month I needed some paint the same colour to paint my garage door. Went to B&Q Burton with a photo on my I-pad to get the colour matched, there a helpful young man called Luke told me he could not match my paint by photo and I needed the ral code from the company who supplied my porch. One week later I went to the Cannock branch as it’s closer with my code in hand, unfortunately the staff there seemed to have no idea what I was after and the code meant nothing to them. Ok only one thing for it I went back to Burton were another young man was behind the counter after explaining to him that I had the ral number and I needed a litre of paint, again he looked at me not understanding what I was on about. I was starting to lose hope when I spotted Luke who was the one who started my expedition a week earlier, we called Luke over who remembered me from my first visit. 2 minutes later Luke had explained to his colleague all about the ral numbers and the paint was mixed. Fantastic Now this seems like a double edged review on one hand a few of b&q staff could not help even though they were very pleasant. On the other hand a big thank you to Luke from Burton who was very helpful and knowledgable, maybe a bit more training would help the others.”

“me and my wife went to B&Q Gillingham just to look at a few kitchens, where we met kiran who took over from someone who was looking after us, Kiran was so friendly and professional, she did her best to help with ideas to save us money. She was so friendly with a fantastic sense of humour, we ended up buying the kitchen that evening which wasn't in our plan. we later found out that she was the manager......it didn't surprise us. I would recommend you ask for her when you visit b&q Gillingham .”

“Went in b&q in Leicester to order some tiles I was told to go to paint counter where I was helped by vanessa the tiles couldn't be delivered on the day the tiler was coming so she found some one to pick them up she rang the next day to say they where at the store great customer service from vanessa thank you so much”

“I had very good service at bamber bridge store today needed some flxi 38mm piping to make extraction hose for my chop saw pluming department helped me exactly what I needed saved over £20 could not have bought it anywhere else even on line thanks bq”

“Excellent service at RENFREW STORE. NEEDED REPLACEMENT PANEL for radiator cover. Unfortunately Renfrew do not stock. Alan from wood department was excellent. Arranged to have one delivered from bisopbriggs store. Unfortunately it was not the right design. Lyndsey from customer services could not have been more helpful . She searched internet to try and help me source this panel. Again No luck. I than Lyndsey and Alan very much because they went beyond What was required by my thinking. All I have to do now is find some who stocks the Cambridge star Panels.”

“Went into your Leicester store last Friday. We were helped by a very nice man who went out of his way to find a practical solution to our problem. His name was Martin, turned out he was the Manager of the store. This is so rare. Thank you very much as he really went out of his way.”

“i was in the great Yarmouth store and i was served by a chap called Philip, he went to great lengths to cut my mdf board and even showed me how to get more out of the board i was buying, after cutting the wood he then completed my order and worked out exactly what i needed for the area of paving, and even helped me carry it to my car, he is a credit to b&q and his customer service in our eyes was great, he deserves a pay rise.”

“Trying to fix a mess of a leaky basement door with no know-how, my Mom and I aimlessly wandering through the aisles of B and Q in Halifax; and up walks the most helpful B and Q staff member we have ever met. 'Big Craig' (AKA Warehouse Craig) was truly our HERO in a gleaming orange apron. He took the time to fully understand our predicament and kitted us out with everything we would need from the right cement to the correct size screws. He also gave us 'laywomen' very useful tips, as well as being very jovial and truly turned our stressed out frowns upside down. I honestly cannot give Big Craig enough praise, truly a ROLE MODEL for people everywhere; cheerful, helpful and our saviour. Thank you Big Craig!!”

“I would like to praise Cath on paints. She was so helpful when I was trying, over & over again, to choose the colour paint I had in mind. She was so patient (needed to be) & kind. very friendly, good sense of humour & very efficient. Lovely young woman. Thanks Cath, we got there in the end. (served by Cath over a week or more around 1st/2nd week July).”

“My husband and I popped along to B & Q in Newport, Isle of Wight to look for a replacement bathroom door lock. We asked a male assistant sporting the name badge, Kia, for help in finding a suitable door handle and lock. It wasn't an easy task since our existing handle is quite old but Kia offered us several possible options to fix our problem. In the end we had decided upon a small brass bolt rather than having to chisel out the door for a new lock to go with a larger handle. Kia had then directed us to another aisle where we were looking for a shower part. After we parted he had given our problem more thought and found us there with an alternative, more discrete catch, which we ended up purchasing. He was one of the most helpful assistants we have encountered, not just in B and Q but in any store. If there were a scheme to recognise excellent customer service at B and Q I would definitely recommend Kia.”

“Chippenham branch- I have visited this branch 4 times Ivette last 3 days. We are from Cornwall and are away from hoe renovating a property for our son in Calne. I have been assisted by different shop floor staff each time and every one has been so helpful and friendly. I have had to buy multiple things each time and they assisted me around the store until I had everything I needed. Amazing customer service. Thank you !”

“Visited Bidston B&Q garden department this Monday, needed a few plants and shrubs but no idea which to buy. Lucky for me I spoke with Faye, she was more than happy to advise and very knowledgable, I came home with some lovely plants that look lovely in the garden.
