“That tap unit itself I have no issues with, but the shower hose that was included with it was not designed to fit the unit I purchased. The hose has a thread on the inside of the connector, but the unit requires a connector with an external thread. Therefore, the hose is useless. fortunately, our original hose did fit. This is a sloppy error from a business that should know better.”

Hi Chris Thank you for the review, it is sad that you felt the need to write one without having contacted us to discuss the problem first. The shower mixer was sent to you in the exact same state we received it from Ideal Standard and the hose should have a female thread on both ends. One connects to a male thread on the tap, the other to a male thread on the head. If this is not what you have received, please can you send me a picture to demonstrate the problem and I will get a replacement hose on order for you. I look forward to hearing from you. “My order was for a replacement Duravit, soft-closing, toilet seat and cover. Not a previous customer of Bathrooms & Showers Direct, I came across them when googling for suitable suppliers. As the item was in stock, at a reasonable price, I placed my order with them. The email acknowledging my order was timed at 12.52 on Monday. I was advised at 13.10 on the same day that the carrier had received the order to collect and deliver the package. I subsequently received the item at 17.30 on the Wednesday at our Northern Ireland address - a little over 48 hours after placing my order. Very happy with the speed at which everything moved, and the item itself was well packaged and exactly as I had ordered.”

“Easy to order from, lady very helpful when I rang querying what was included with order (toilet cistern, wanted to know if the internals were included) kept informed of delivery times, delivered exactly on time as promised. Would definitely recommend using this company 👍”

“i ordered an item from this company as a bit of a wildcard, it was a bulky awkward item of no real value as such, arrived the next morning. well packaged. very impressed, will be recommending these guys as an alternative to the usual big boys who don't even have a customer service phone number !!!!”

“Service was good from the customer service team when I called regarding delivery etc. A little tip for the website. You should have an add-on box for items you will need. For example, I ordered a bath & the bath I ordered required bath feet. To save customers getting to install (as booking in a plumber & having them then not able to start is very frustrating) not having legs for their bath. But how about automatically adding the feet to their basket? Then on checkout, you inform them this is required if they then choose to take it off it's their issue you have done your advising of what is a necessity. Also, a sink or a basin or a bath is automatically a waste for them as this is another necessity they will require. This will, in turn, you will be up-selling & a plumber will have everything he or she needs to do the job with no problems.”

Hi Ellie Thank you for the review. On all product pages, we advise customers of the additional products they are going to need so they can all be added to the basket together. We can't automatically add products to the basket as we are potentially forcing a customer to purchase something they don't need. We can't always be sure that the add on items are even required and there are many choices that someone can make over colour, type etc. We do our utmost to ensure the customer can see what is and isn't included and the majority of the time, our suggestions get chosen.
