Was given a £24 beer card as a fathers day gift by my daughter neither she nor myself realised that to redeem that card I would have to go through the whole rigmarole of joining said company .gave code and pin, gave name address gave choices of beer but still not enough had to join but no current a/c so couldn't, have we lost £24 or not ,? now in limbo don't go near this company you'd be better off just going to your local beer supplier , who wants a 'ferment paper' and a snack at god nows how much when it could have been spent on beer and actually delivered to the customer!?

Long-term customer who finally decided to cancel after yet another bizarre, unpalatable delivery... Then I find out you MUST PHONE them to cancel your subscription and guess what? Completely uncontactable customer service... no response to emails, nobody answers phones, my only option at this point is to cancel my DD or otherwise prevent them taking cash. Disgraceful business practice.

Left disgruntled: Its a great concept but a bad service: My delivery was trashed, squashed cans, empty bottles, snacks and magazine crushed wet and damaged. Beer52 where quick to request photographs that I assume where used to make their own claim to the courier but I received no refund or replacement goods. Even this medium of review does not record companies that do not refund so reviews become bias in favour of bad companies (i wanted to a pics). As you would expect I left!!

Twice I have ordered, twice they haven’t arrived when they said they would. First time, I got in touch with support who were very apologetic. They got my beers to me in the end. Took them more than 3 weeks after I was supposed to receive them though. Second time, I got in touch with support. Was given the same excuse as the first time and was told it would be another 2 weeks before they could get them to me. In the end they just cancelled my order.

A disaster. Please avoid. Order placed and didn’t arrive. Had to chase Resent but never resent. Finally an email unable to fulfill the order. Now I await the battle for a refund.

Nearly impossible to cancel, horrendous customer service. Stole my card details and shared my information with third parties without permission. Avoid at all costs, it's not worth the price, just generic canned ipa that you can get way cheaper at any supermarket.

Their website says that it is necessary to phone them if you want to cancel a subscription. This is an internet business in 2021! Fortunately my card was expiring so I sent an email.

Super easy to sign on for a subscription online, then they make it nearly impossible to cancel it. There's no way to do it online, you need to call them, spend forever on hold and the customer service agent apparently could not hear me anymore as soon as I had told her that I wanted to cancel the subscription. The online chat stops working as soon as you mention that your want to cancel your subscription. Disgusting.

They sent me unsolicited letter offering a free case if I subscribed. I googled and it seems like it is impossible to cancel subscription. Another observation... it looks like a lot of the recent reviews with 5stars were anonymous and use similar language... seems very suspicious to me.

Ordered some beers from this company, they took my money and only sent me half the order. Customer support were incredibly unhelpful cannot recommend.

I cancelled my subscription and they continued to send me beer and charge my account. You can only end your subscription over the phone, where they do not keep a record. Do not sign up as they make leaving as difficult as possible.

The beer was great. However when we called to cancel (due to the fact we were having an alcohol break) the telephone operative said they would cancel...but didn’t. I was still charged. When my husband called to explain the error, the lady went away to discuss this with her supervisor...then hung up the phone. We tried a second time, and this operative hung up as soon as the call was connected (probably as it was 4:55pm). I’m so disappointed and just don’t know what to do now. I guess it will just continue. Please help!

AVOID. They sent me a beer with broken glass in it. When I complained they offered me £5 off - this is ridiculous for a dangerous product (you can get £5 off by just clicking “I want to cancel on their website”) it also appears to be impossible to cancel on their website and instead you need to have a lengthy phonecall. Clearly this is a company that does not care about the customer.

I was reluctant to write this review, but after weeks of failed attempts to get Beer52 to acknowledge and rectify my grievance I am giving in. Beer52 will happily take your money, but if there is a problem will do everything in their power not to return it. In my case, I ordered three expensive beers for Christmas. They delivered just two, with no explanation of why. I wrote to them immediately, and some 7 days later replied asking me for the details (though I had already given them.) A week went by and another email saying that the missing beer was out of stock, so they would refund me the one beer. The problem was, I had paid delivery and was not willing to do that for just two beers. This is a small amount, but rather than simply refund me the delivery, or offer to send me another beer, they offered me the chance to buy more discounted beer, or return the beers at my own expense. This is astonishingly poor customer service - all they had to was acknowledge that I was out of pocket and rectify it, but they quibbled over a few pounds, and told me I was in the wrong. They had the audacity to tell me that they are a small company and I should be understanding. But it was my money, not theirs! Additionally, they say they will reply within 3 days, but it's always 7. If you phone, they tell you to email. Their 'formal' complaints process involves them saying a manager said no. The beer is... ok. The mixed beer packs are heavily on the light side, when I would prefer more than 2 dark beers in a box of 12. There are better subscriptions out there. Come on Beer52 - you have a chance to provide the public with a new, good beer model, but you let yourselves down on worse customer service then the big breweries. Take a course in customer service - and don't quibble. You're embarrassing yourselves.

I am amazed, 99% of people on here have referred to Douglas, I have rang 3 times and spoke to 3 different people. Today promised a call back by 2 different people, none of them Douglas, one hour later, no call. I cancelled on 6th January, I have just received notification my delivery is on the way, why, when it has been cancelled. Got little or no sense out of Sam, who promised to ring back, not been done. I will try another time in a minute, to ensure future orders are cancelled, together with a refund of the last payment as the order was cancelled after the first paid delivery. It is very odd that the "Fails" towards the end of the call, it has done it twice, very peculiar. I have viewed 120 comments on here and am staggered that I am the only one that has had issues, perhaps there is an agenda that I am not seeing.
