It was my second time using BookAway site and I'm super happy with the service, easy & safe. i had to change my ticket date and the customer support team was ON it in 5 m!! they covered all the trip destinations i wanted to go and had all type of transfers

i did a booking on the 6/3 and immediately as I ended saw I booked 30/3 not 31/3 and I contacted support on the web and via e-mail the reply to this came on 13/3 is that customer service ?????? I did manage to get hold of support on messenger 8/3 and they said the ticket was issued with no changes, if your support was working it could have been solved (getbybus who issued the ticket was willing to assist and answered immediately on 6/6 within minutes but could do nothing as bookaway was the agent) Your support SUCKS and your attitude leaves a lot to be desired, companies like bookaway eventually go under because of lack of service

Booked train tickets in Thailand with them, cancelled a day before departure, had to cancel trip, after 3 months, no refund, they say they have refunded straight away, bank confirmed twice no refundm, now paying interest on they're debt. Scam company, please avoid!!

The worst experience ever had. They change the date or our booking, they cost even 100% more than the normal price of the ticket and they even dont send you the ticket. Probably this platform is a freud. Please do not book any ticket by using this platform.

We booked a bus to go from Hanoi airport to Ninh Binh with Bookaway.com and got an email confirmation. We got to the airport early and set out to find the pickup location. After asking and looking for the location we called the bus company to confirm pickup location. They said they had no buses running that day. So the confirmation was an error by bookaway.com. we had to hire a taxi to take us to Ninh Binh at a much higher rate. Contacted bookaway.com for a refund for the bus ride that did not exist. They refunded the bus cost but kept a service fee for all the work they did for a nonexistent bus. After quite a while they replied that they would not refund the service fee as they had to pay someone else money for this and they incurred some costs as well. Quite an excuse for such an error, taking no responsibility for their mistake and telling me we have to share the losses for what was most definitely their mistake. So they want people to pay a service charge for absolutely no service at all. Very poor customer service in both the nonexistent bus and failure to take responsibility for their error. If you use them and something goes wrong you will pay for it. Find a more reliable company.

I booked train tickets through Bookaway a month in advance for a trip to Ella. Shockingly, they informed me just 9 hours before the journey that they couldn't provide the tickets I had booked. This last-minute letdown left me stranded, with no alternative tickets available as everything was sold out. The lack of reliability from Bookaway not only disrupted my travel plans but also jeopardized my stay in Ella. Now, I'm left awaiting a refund, hoping they didn't scam me. Extremely disappointed with their service.

Having paid in BOOKAWAY the price of two train tickets in second class with reserved seats, we never received confirmation from the operator, we contacted BOOKAWAY several times without giving us a solution and in the end we found ourselves at the train station without tickets and without reserved seats . The solution that their local agent gave us was to buy two third-class tickets without reserved seats at the ticket office, a few minutes before the train departure. After complaining several times to BOOKAWAY they tell us that since the service is already provided (third class without seats???) we are not entitled to any compensation. It is a company that after paying them ignores the customer.

My partner and I booked a train trip from Kandy to Ella - only available tickets were in observational class $91. It’s much more expensive than usual but ok. The tickets meant to be confirmed within 24hours, although my booking was pending for over 3days, nobody responding to my emails and messages, no phone number to reach out, but obviously they hold on to my money so I couldn’t make any alternative plans. The night before departure someone called me that we are on an earlier train on that day, I thought it is ok, as long as we depart. The thing was that they gave us 3rd class seats instead without any notice and when I complained they apologized and refunded me €3.65 which I thought it is a mistake, but after a several days being ignored I just think it is a huge scam. Be aware, would not book with them ever again.

Upon checking in our system, the price of each ticket is 30 USD and the amount paid on your reservation was 60 USD, not 91. We've already refunded you for the difference between classes. This is a most likely a scam, do not order via bookaway! We ordered and paid online Sri Lanka train tickets from Kandy to Ella, the price was 63.22 euro for 2 adults and 1 kid at 2nd class with reserved seats. Tickets are supposed to be sent they at the hotel in Kandy. One day before I called to check when tickets will arrive and they promised again to send at the hotel plus offered to give us an upgrade to a touristic train. This morning I started to chat with them from 6 am and called again, as the tickets were not at the hotel reception and our train was at 8.15. After being very pushy, finally someone brought us the tickets 3 min before departure time but surprise, tickets were at 3rd class instead of 2nd, at the original train, not the upgraded one. Funny thing was that they gave us 4 tickets instead of 3, 2 were from colombo to badulla and 2 were from kandy to badulla. Seats were not grouped, luckly people were kind and we managed to switch. So nothing matching what we have ordered. Price for the 1 ticket kandy to badulla was 1300 rupies, meaning 4 usd, and we paid around 20 euro for each, so 5-6 times more!! Total rip off! Overall, I strongly believe that if I haven't had insisted, no tickets would have been provided. Overall, bad experience with bookaway. Do not recommend.

I booked my ticket with them, they took full payment and then on the day of the departure sent me a message saying It was not confirmed and that I was going to get a full refund. This happened 3 weeks ago and I still did not get a refund.

My shuttle was cancelled less than 24 hours before departure. Couldn't find an alternative shuttle so I had to book an expensive last minute private transfer at 6 times the price - with the SAME provider who cancelled last minute. If I cannot cancel without a penalty three days in advance and not at all one day in advance, why can the provider?! In Europe, I would sue (doesn't work here I guess). Terrible experience and no compensation offered, just a short "sorry"

I had booked a return ferry trip from Split to Hvar months ago. The money had come out of my account and I received a confirmation email. 1 week before the trip while I was already in Croatia, I was sent an email to say my booking was cancelled for a reason I did not give and the money refunded. Now I am left with no way of getting to the island because all other ferries are booked out. I have non refundable accommodation booked on the island and no way of getting there. DO NOT Book WITH THIS COMPANY. They cancel your ticket without warning and for a reason they make up! Customer service was non existent

Huge scam company. Booked with them in Mexico, and they never showed up at the agreed place and time, called them and they didnt pick up. I called the agency they had booked for us, and they told me to catch a cab since we had to catch a flight. They told us that bookaway would refund the taxi, since they didnt show up. When I contacted them at home, they were quick to reply but refused to refund anything. Even though I explained everything to them, and even sent them the emails I received from them earlier. I have never experienced such lousy custommer service, EVER. Again, do not book with this company, find something else that can get you to your desired place.

Worst experience of my life. I was ready early and they never showed up and there was no phone number to call for help, I had bad phone service, emailed the company and got delayed responses. I waited for hours outside and got a sunburn. After waiting a couple of hours I realized there were no other options for transportation out for the night. I had to pay triple the amount I paid here for a taxi from Monteverde to San Jose. I am a female, the taxi had two men, one man kept taking pictures of me and grabbed my arm. I was afraid of being trafficked. I made it to my destination several hours after what was expected, risked my health, safety, and missed opportunities. Now the company is asking the driver about what happened before they can give me my $80 back. DO NOT BOOK HERE! Terrible costumer service. I thought if I paid more with a company I would be better of than taking public transportation. The place I stayed at helped me get a ride out, they told me to always book through the hotel or hostel you are staying at. If I don’t get a refund I will be certain this company is a SCAM!

TO AVOID ABSOLUTELY We reserved and paid 3 months ago US $ 1 405 for a private return transfer between El Calafate in Argentina and an Hotel in Torres de Paine Chili. Less than 48 hours before the departure we received a simple e mail telling me " that the departure time you chose is fully booked and unavailable. Because of this, we have gone ahead and canceled" They have needed 3 months to realise that ? They have taken my $ 1 405 for 3 months (in a country where inflation is about 10% a month), worked with it and just left me in the s.... I am now obliged to find, at the latest moment, someone to do that prestation and pay just any price for it ( US $ 2 700 as it's happens) WHO COULD TRUST A COMPANY WHO DARE TO ACT LIKE THAT WITH ITS CUSTOMERS ???
