Loads of hassle informing Fed-Ex (who wouldn't take my instructions) and then Calumet (who spent ages contacting Fed-Ex) that I wasn't going to be in on the delivery day.

Good online experience and easily ordered to collect from store. When I arrived at the store the experience in picking up wasn;t so good, it took some time to find the actual item and the assistant wasn't clear if it had been paid for or not. Fortunately I wasn't in a rush but if I had been I wouldn't have been happy.

Don't really care what your business reason is, I find it wholly unacceptable to charge a customer for products that are out of stock, and then take several weeks to deliver them. Exactly for this reason why i'd never buy a new camera from you. Especially my upcoming purchase of the 1DX II - there's no way on earth you're taking £5k from me, to then tell me it's out of stock and i'll get it in a few weeks, when you have already swiped the cash.

Service in store is excellent. Order online not so good. No automated email to confirm order. No call to tell me item was ready for collection.

The internet is great for information & finding the best camera for you however in-store experience can't be beaten. With this in mind, the combination of Calumet website and stores is great. In-store customer experience I was not happy with my store experience. I asked some basic questions about 'try before you buy' and rental which was all met with extra conditions. This adding of extra complexities or terms to something that should be simple to help gain my 2-3k spend is very off putting. Promotional offers - extra terms & conditions felt like they are made up! At the time, Calumet had two significant offers on - Discount on accessories when spending £500 or more on cameras/lenses. I purchased a camera body and lens both are well over £500 each with the total spend near £1900. They said I couldn't have more than one accessory discount and I couldn't separate the purchases. A little Customer Experience improvement could be simply using your promotions to make me (customer) feel more valued. The combination of the above experiences I have no loyalty to Calumet which is disappointing as I really expected it to be different.

Had to wait over a week for purchase to be delivered despite it supposedly being in stock when I ordered. Would defiantly think twice about ever ordering again.

Staff friendly but the girl who served me knew nothing about photography or the camera equipment I was interested in. She wasn't new to the place but even had to ask for help with the till. That's a training issue. Also recruitment as they should be hiring people with a reasonable interest and knowledge of photography. This isn't just a 'job' to use a till, it's one which needs some specialist knowledge.

I ordered a Canon Pixma pro 1 printer some time ago. I knew Calumet were "waiting for stock" but even so i was surprised when they took payment (over £600). I inquired as to when i could expect the printer and was told that stock was expected on 10th May. So i still haven't obtained the goods but hope to this week.

The lens hood for my camera took 12 days to arrive. The hood was required for a trip abroad and was delivered after the trip.

Calumet are consitently reliable with great service, however this time I was disappointed by my experience. In future if there is no stock available please say so on your website. I payed for next day because I needed film stock for a specific delivery date and ended up paying only to then find out I would have to wait for the film to be restocked. I had to call twice to ensure that the film stock would arrive in time, the call Center staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help so this ratified the issue considerably. However in all this was still disappointing when compared to the standard I usually get from calumet but I would still buy from them again.

I've never had a problem with Calumet until recently (been a customer for 3 years). Twice now in the past few months I've received the wrong equipment from rental (one being sent to a completely different city). I would be very concerned if I had to rely on Calumet 100% for a larger volume of equipment with a less understanding client. But what really annoyed me lately was an issue with a muslin backdrop. The example image online showed the muslin with a definite texture. I received it with no texture whatsoever. I dropped the customer service an email just letting them know that I understood that there was a variation in pattern, but the image was completely wrong on the website if it contained no texture whatsoever, and would need changing so no other customer made the £100 mistake I did. The reply was 'the website image may differ from monitor to monitor it’s viewed on' - As a company that's selling photography equipment that was a very poor statement. Colours may vary yes, but monitors don't add texture to an image. Once I replied explaining the situation further and how my client wasn't happy, my email was then ignored. There's just been too many issues with Calumet recently that it's very worrying.

Ordered with next day delivery but didn't get a dispatch notification or tracking number to inform me of the progress of the order. Otherwise delivery came on time.

The courses are very good . I have attended at least two other courses. The only thing I would say about calumet is that there should be more discounts for students . Camera equipment is very expensive and even if it was accessories that were more likely to be offered on a discount , that would be sufficient. I still shop with amazon as once you look into it , usually the price is slightly cheaper /no charge for delivery /more reliable delivery .

Normally Calumet delivers good products for a reasonable price. However, this one didn't go well. I was going to Africa for 3 weeks and needed another card for my camera. I was looking at the 64Bb Sandisc 290 M card. I called up Calumet to see if it could be delivered before I left. The agent I spoke to said that all the cards were at the Photography Show, but when the show was over you would have surplus stock and he could send the card out to me in time for my trip. I ordered and paid for the card. He also said he would email me after the show for confirmation (on the Saturday), but I got no email. I called on the Monday, and was told that all the cards had been sold out at the show, and you couldn't deliver to me. I am very unhappy. Since I had made the purchase before the show was over you should have set one aside for me, and delivered it to me as promised. You should at least have notified me that the cards were sold out. I had to make a last minute purchase with a different company. Not happy at all.

So I was happy with the ordering process and the items arrived around the estimated time and I was glad that Calumet matched a better price so product so saving me £100 :) As the product I ordered was a special order, I know it would take around 20 days to arrive. My disappointment was that I emailed your staff member who processed my order asking for a status update around 15 days after I made the order but I didn't have a reply from them. 8 or 9 days Later I sent Another email requesting a status update as I hadn't had a reply from my previous email to them and they asked for my order number and then the next day informed me that that item was on its way and I would have it that day. I was surprised that no update on my order and shipment notification was sent to me (which I was told would be the case) and no tracking information was provided when I was told the order was on its way, I then asked the person (who was dealing with my order) to send me the fedex tracking number and they simply sent a screenshot of the Fedex shipping info...this is a bit lazy in my opinion! If someone is spending in excess of £2000 I would expect a certain level of decent customer service. I hope this provides some helpful constructive criticism.

I waited in line for around 15/20 minutes with two people in front of me, and several people behind. The staff did not seem aware / to be concerned that a large number of people were waiting. I also then had to wait whilst an 'invoice' was produced at the end of the sale. This process seemed very cumbersome. I am fairly new to photography and did not find the process of buying from you particularly comfortable. A lot of jargon was used, and little effort made initially to guide me to what I needed. Once we had got through this the sales assistant was helpful, knowledgable, and polite.

Not satisfied with the online purchase and the customer service as there was a problem on the website when I tried to place an order. I wanted the item to be delivered for collecting at store, but because of the problem I couldn't do so although I kept doing several times. The customer service told me to place it for next day delivery instead and they would refund the shipping cost to me. I did so but the item was still delivered to my address and I didn't get the benefit of the next day delivery because I wasn't home. I got the card from the courier to make a redelivery and had to stayed at home on a weekday just to wait for this to arrive. This caused a very inconvenient circumstance for my working day and I still didn't get the refund as the customer service said to do so. In my opinion, this showed the company's level of responsibility for the customers.

Very difficult to review something when the review request comes through before the order!

Very small part organised which was delivered in cardboard boak approx 6 x 4 inches. As a result had a 45 minute round trip to collect a courier parcel that should have been in an envlope that could have been placed through the letterbox.
