“Was going to buy a new motorcycle and decided to do a background check useing a car fax on the vehicle. seeing how at the time its was $40 for 1 report and $50 for 5, I went for the 5 as it was a better deal. When I got the car fax, it was so incomplete that it didn't even have the current owner on it. He had the title and everything and the report only had a record of the bike being sold once, when it was clear to me that there would have to have been 3 owners before me. I didn't see anything wrong with the bike and the car fax was clean, so I bought it and no problem at the DMV. After that I started pulling reports for fun and then AFTER PULLING 4 REPORTS OUT OF THE 5 I PAYED FOR, OT SAID NO MORE REPORTS REMAINING. DO NOT USE FOR MOTORCYCLES!!!!!!”

“I have been buying and selling cars for a few years fixing them and either donating to needy family's it has been a good source of information to make sure I'm not getting a car that has been compromised thank you for offering this service”

“I drove a 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe that looked good, drove well, and had a great price. Carfax revealed it was a "manufacturer buyback" because it was a lemon. I ended up buying the same make and model that was a 1-owner vehicle with a good service history. Thank you Carfax! E. Delarosa Houston, TX”

“I bought my car Honda Civic 2008 because I saw on carfax the history of ir and how the owner had been caring of it caring of it. The webside also showed me that the car has been manitaned well with the orevious owner.”

“I needed to find a car in Texas for my little sister without having to travel from my home in NC. I successfully used carfax reports to verify if sellers were being honest about the condition of their vehicles. After selecting four to five vehicles my sister test drove the cars and asked questions based on the carfax detail report. We were able to finalize a decision on a 1994, Honda CRV which had only one owner and a little over 150,000 miles. In summary I didn't have to spend time and hundred of dollars to fly and travel in search of a car. The End!”

“Was looking for a used 4x4 truck for my son's 1st car so I started by ppurchasing a 5 carfax package.. 1st one I looked at was listed with 129k miles. Ran a carfax check and discovered the vehicle had at least 247k. On to the next. Seller told me he didn't know the vehicle history but the odometer had probably been rolled over at least twice. Ran my 2nd carfax report and discovered the vehicle mileage to be only 130k. My son has a great new blazer now. I used the remaining reports to confirm claims and purchase my daughters car as well. “I was in the market to buy a used car for our small family to get out of NYC on weekends. After searching craigslist for several weeks and talking to dealers, i figured it is impossible to trust any ads or dealers without checking CarFax. Checking with CarFax i figured dealers and ads dont tell you the truth all the time. CarFax helped me to avoid buying few bad cars before I found the right one. I highly recommend anyone who is in the market to use CarFax. I already made two of my friends to use it and buy an account which enables them to check few cars.”

“When my grandfather was killed in September, my grandmother received some money, and she needed a new car. I found her a 2013 Ford Focus for an awesome price. She loves those cars. It seemed too good to be true, and after looking at the Carfax, we found that it actually was the car she was meant to have. My Papaw would be proud.”

“Carfax included all the histories which can help you find a suitable car, But the only problem was after 5 carfax check with vin number, I just could check with license plat. Many individual sellers was unwilling to give their license plate and also dealers doesn't have license plate at all.”

“When I bought my car in 2007 my car was 5 years old. With the use of Car Fax I was able to find out the history of the car. It was a one owner car, very well taken care of, as shown by its history. I was able to buy my dream car that day thanks to Car Fax and I still drive the car this day. Eleven years later from purchase date. Thanks Car Fax!!”

“Carfax actually helped me when I traded my car in. The dealer's offer for my car was insultingly low and they claimed it had been reported as "wrecked." This wasn't true as I had bought the car brand new and never involved in any accident. So I used a Carfax report that showed that my car had never been in an accident, one owner, and actually worth more than the KBB value, to get a fair deal for the trade.”

“CarFax helped me do a lot of my searching on-line and in the comfort of my own home. Once I narrowed down my choices, I called to sellers and was able to ask them questions to see if they were being totally honest with me about the service history and condition of the car. After several weeks of diligent inquiries I found and bought an '04 Honda Civic for a decent and competitive price. Thanks a lot!”

“We were in the process of purchasing a used car and the dealer was not in the habit of going through carfax. So I went online to obtain a copy so we would know the history of the vehicle we were interested in. Turned out that there was no outstanding problems, so we were able to purchase the vehicle without worrying about it's history. Thank you”
