“I was looking to purchase a used daily commuter car for me and a used car for my youngest daughter. “I purchased a car that I had an initial problem with, but it turns out it was a loose wire to the computer. The car was only damage in the front right fender, so I love the 2013 Chevrolet sonic and have put many miles on it since august 2014. The airbag was never deployed and everything works great.”

“I used Carfax for a 2003 Honda Pilot before making a decision to buy. I found through Carfax that the odometer reading was not correct and was reverenced. After finding that the odometer reading was not correct, I decided not to buy the Pilot. Thank you Carfax for your help.”

“Limiting the number of VIN lookups is extremely poor business. It is not explicitly stated anywhere before purchasing the subscription (that I could find) and it is the most common number people selling cars are listing.”

“I used CarFax to check the background on my 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS. The report showed that the car had been totalled when it was about 1 year old, then rebuilt and retitled. Other than that it had a good service record, so I had my mechanic inspect it prior to purchase. I was able to negotiate a very fair price and I love my car!”

“I ordered one Carfax report for the specific car I was interested in, and they instead gave me the unlimited package, overcharging me $15. They did not respond to requests to refund the difference.”

“I had been searching for an Infiniti G35, and after going to a couple dealers and hearing the phrase "clean car", I became skeptical. I found out that 2 of the 3 I looked at were in accidents and the 3rd someone had skipped the regular oil changes, and never took it in for a recall that was out for the car. Suffice to say they tried to sell me some beat up cars for top dollar. Eventually I found a local owner, and when I pulled the carfax, I saw he had it serviced at the same dealer the entire life of the car, and all recalls had been taken care of, as well as no accidents. I can't recommend carfax enough, the reports really bring light to a shady market.”

“I was looking at a 2010 Infinity G35 sedan that looked great...however, the odometer reading reported by a dealer during service was higher than the odometer in the car! Thank you Carfax! I later found my wife a beautiful 2011 Maxima with a sparkling Carfax that we are very pleased with! Cudos Vince B.”

“I bought my 2000 vw beetle after checking it's car fax. It's history only contained a minor fender bender that had been repaired and it had it's maintenance records. So I bought it!”

“My beloved 2001 Toyota 4Runner had been around the block, and I needed to know where. The Carfax told me, and explained the windshield, showed me much of its maintenance history, and the ONLY thing I would do differently is ... I had a one-time chance to purchase a SECOND Carfax at the same time for only ten bucks, passed without thinking, and totally spaced how useful it would have been for selling my Hyundai Elantra, as I'm the second owner and the first was an old couple. Great idea, like an aircraft log.”

“Was looking to buy a car for my niece. Went to see the car pulled out the cash and told buyer it depended on carfax report. Ran the carfax and found that the seller had a clean California title, bit it was salvage from Arizona! Thanks for saving my nieces life savings Carfax!”

“Carfax has helped me in many ways. My father and I have been looking for a classic 1986 pickup truck, but in good driving conditions. Without Carfax we wouldn't of been able to locate a great one. We were able to use the car vehicle history reports to determine which truck we should buy. After many days trying to find one. We finally acquired the truck we've been looking for. Thanks Carfax.”

“I signed up for one (1) CarFax for $39.95. CarFax charged me for five (5) quotes at $54.95, and they will not respond to my repeated complaint.”
