“I got scammed by CarJet when I rented a car in Greece.
I rented the car online and when I got at the shop they sent me to they didn’t have the car I rented available, then they told me to make a new reservation. I did the new reservation and CarJet sent me to the same company and once again they said they didn’t have the car that CarJet offered me. My girlfriend made a third reservation with the same results and then the company gave us another car.
Even though I COULD NOT GET THE CAR I RENTED BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T HAVE THE CAR AVAILABLE, CarJet CHARGED ME FOR BOTH RESERVATION! That’s called SCAMMING, I PAID almost 400 EUROS for a SERVICE I DID’T USE!
PLEASE, AVOID CARJET!!!”

We had some double with renting a car. After the first attempt to hire, we showed up and apperantly the rental agency had cancelled the booking, And "someone else had picked up the car".
The lady explained the systems didn't work well, and our car was cancelled due to missing flight information (which wasn't mandatory). No phone call, no notice, no nothing. But a travel plan and no car. So, they gave us another option: book another car. What do we see in the online offer? The car we had originally picked. So, we did.
At the end of the day, for some reason we put the car on my name. So, cancelled again and re-book (all happened in the store and under advise of the people there). After some hours we finally drive away in the car. Under my name.
And guess what? WE'RE PAYING FOR THREE RENTALS. Such a rip off service :(”

“Do not take out the platinum insurance…
Do not take out the platinum insurance with this company you will still not effectively be covered as the car hire suppliers will ask you for a deposit of £1500 as well as what you have paid to Carjet..
Any damages are dealt directly through the hire car company and only certain excess cover ....not Carjet with your £1500 then you have to apply for a refund to Carjet all valid paperwork depending!!
This insurance was invalid as I didn’t have clear funds on a credit card yes only accept a credit card so ended up paying an additional £150 insurance to cover my five day hire and still didn’t get a refund from Carjet as effectively my insurance was not viable as I couldn’t produce a credit card in my name ..

“I am afraid to say our experience with Green Motion cars was absolutely appalling. We arrived at Kings Cross and i rang the shuttle number 20 minutes before however was not able to get through and the automated telephone service said that the only option i had was to send a free text to let the number know i had called. i then rang Car Jet who informed me I had to travel to 225 Edgeware Road which already caused great difficulty and delay.
I arrived prior to my brother and his girlfriend, who were travelling with me, had had to do an hour long detour to get to 225 Edgeware Road instead of Kings Cross (the destination i specifically selected).
We then arrived to our dismay be told that we were not able to pay on my American Express (my credit card) or debit card and that only an alternative credit card in my name was valid. The staff member was very unhelpful and rude.
I have a limit of £500 on my other credit card so therefore had to pay £400 on that credit card then an extra £78 on my debit card to cover the additional excess.
Following this we then were given a Fiat 500 car which is NOT the Volkswagen Golf i ordered. We were driving up North and back so this car was not ideal at all. I have now got back ache and a swollen ankle from driving over 12 hours over the weekend in the car having been stuck in traffic. I know that Fiat 500's do this to me as my mum had one and it gave me exactly the same problem due to the driving position.
The staff member Zil was very kind when he gave us the car and wavered the 300 mile limit which i was totally unaware of and would never have booked this option as we were travelling over 700 miles!
I am so disappointed and upset with the whole experience. I have very bad anxiety and almost had a panic attack when picking up the car due to all the stress. The time we actually got the car was well over 1.5hrs delay so got stuck in even worse traffic, the whole experience was horrific the fact that it was the wrong location and having to get to the car pick up point as the shuttle wasn't available, the totally wrong car, the deposit card situation, the extra money that had to be paid, the stress and pain in my back and ankle i am so reluctant to ever use Car Jet or Green Motion ever again. I now rent cars for business regularly for my new job and need one for this weekend but this was the first time i have used Car Jet and unfortunately THEY COULDNT CARE LESS . NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I WOULDNT USE EVER AGAIN!”
“You only have to read a handful of reviews to see this company is a scam - as is green motion car hire whom carjet advertise the most. Dont be fooled by paying the insurance through carjet - when you arrive, green motion say it is an independent insurance and demand you either take your own or you pay over 3000 pounds!!! Then on returning the car they try claim that you have damaged it.. Try contacting Carjet and you get no response at all. I have sent 12 emails and have not received a reply to any! ... both these companies are scammers. AVOID AVOID AVOID .... Shame you can't leave zero start rating on review”

We used carjet to hire a car in Malta. Turns out we paid around 50€ on website for nothing!
When we arrived in Malta they said - what you already paid is just for that website (broker) and we had to pay much more + insurance tonthe actual car hire company.
Complete nonesence.
And then when i would claim
for refund, car jet would just keep
emailing me saying - im sending wrong reference number. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE”
“After arriving to pick up the car with a trolley of luggage and a tired toddler I was told that I had to hand over a credit card to secure the £1100 excess - I had already paid additional amounts to remove the excess and did not have a credit card with me. Ended up having to pay an extra £116 to remove the excess - which I had already done. It seems that car jet are some Spanish agency who are promising low prices but have many hidden charges. Literally EVERY PERSON at the pick up area was having the same issue. If I had been on my own I would have gone elsewhere but with a tired baby and having to get a bus to the car place and basically unable to manage the luggage on my own on yet another journey I caved and paid the extra. They did offer to remove the £48 they had planned to charge me for hire of baby car seat - another cost that was not given prior to booking 😳 avoid these people at all costs - never again will I go for a “cheap” car hire!!! Ended up paying a hell of a lot more and the location of the pick up is a nightmare if you are travelling with kids”
“I’ve used rental car companies for over 5 years and never had a disgusting experience like this one ever. First time I’ve used them and the last, they should be closed down!!! Scammers!!! I arrived off my flight was taken via bus to a prefabricated office in a derelict waste piece of land full of pot holes, no path to wheel my case. I entered the office there was about 5 people waiting to be seen I was told to sit down and wait my turn. As soon as I entered the place my intuition gave me very bad vibes. There was about 5-6 staff all just standing around doing nothing, no one else offered to help. A guy in front of me had been delayed on his flight and was told his car had now gone. He was dealt with and spoken to atrociously. He left with no car and very very upset. I was then attended to was asked for my paper work, credit card and drivers licence I was then asked to pay £1,205 on my credit card in case I damaged the car. I explained I had never been asked for such a large amount from previous companies I had used. The attendant became very rude and aggressive towards me. The attitude of all the staff was disgusting just staring at people blankly and no help or understanding what so ever. They told me that they were only the car rental company (green motion) and I needed to speak to Car jet who I booked through. I decided to leave and get a taxi to my destination. I rang the number on my paperwork for “car jet” the guy who answered the phone said Hello “Do you Spain” how can I help you. “Do you” how appropriate, they were obviously trying to “Do me”!!!! The company are based in Spain the guy “Ion” his name was also very unhelpful and point blank refused to reimburse my money. I asked to speak to his manager Ion told me he wasn’t there and to ring back Monday. I asked for the managers name he refused to give me it. My intuition was right this is a scam company and after reading all the other reviews I’m not the only one saying this. Absolutely discussed and will be taking this matter further !!!!!”
“Be Warned that you use this company at your risk.Rented a car at Glasgow airport on May 23rd. Was charged for mileage even though I produced the contract form CarJet that stated my rental was unlimited mileage. Contacted CarJet who acknowledged that I was correct and said they would refund my money. Having at first responded to my claim and agreed to pay they have now been ignoring many emails over the past 5 months. I was brought up to believe you honoured your responsibilities and that not to pay money that was owed was called theft.”
“I booked a car in Gatwick airport. I did not get confirmation of the booking so rebooked. I was charged twice for the booking despite cancelling one immediately. I emailed Car Jet 10 or more times but no response, no refund and cannot find a number to call. Really terrible service. Will not use CarJet again. No refund has ever been processed.”

“Avoid carjet they are not 5 star at all. They don't care about anyone who has problems with they're company, they are just after your money, as much as they can from you. You won't get any refunds, and the email they send you will state this, " thank you very much ". They made my daughter's holiday a nightmare, and I hope they get what's coming to them. Carjet has been reported to the ombudsman and consumer rights, they will also get a lot more reviews from myself until they refund the money to me for the car that I never drove. I booked car plus full insurance on line, but at office, which looks like from Only Fool and Horses, they didn't accept insurance and I have to give £1600 from my credit card in case anything happens... Anyway they will keep £1600 for 28 days for no reason...”
“My initial booking with Car Jet was easy and straightforward.My bad review is of the rental company they made my booking with.I have tried numerous times to contact Car Jet directly about this but so far they have declined to respond.My booking was with EASIRENT and it was an absolute nightmare.I wanted to make Car Jet aware of this so they might stop their affiliation with them.Car Jet must be aware of EASIRENT and their reputation because all you have to do is Google them to see they are fraudelant and rip off merchants.Obviously Car Jets Customer Service is also non existent so I will avoid them in future.”
