“Carjet is only apparently cheap, but it ends up being more expensive. I rented a car from them and upon returning the car they "discovered" a 1 mm chip in the windshield for which they charged me about 1000$ to replace. They claimed that they charge me the full cost of the windshield because it will crack completely sooner or later. It is interesting however how they found a 1 mm chip in a mud-splattered windshield. That chip very likely was there all along but it does not cross your mind to check every square inch of the windshield to look for such chips. And the insurance that was supposed to cover this will not pay because they require a proof of repair which clearly I was unable to get from Carjet because they do not have any contact information. So I ended up paying a lot more than the rental price.”

“total scam avoid this company, i did a booking and didnt receive the confirmation, so i thoughed the payment didnt go through, 10 minutes after i did another one, after contacting the company on the same day they didnt refund the second booking. even more... they sold me a insurance, and when you go to pick up the car the rent a car says the insurance of car jet is not valit, , and they force you to make another insurance. So in the end i payed 2 car renting and 3 insurance. crazy, they dont answer.”
“They just robbed me of 150€ . A few days after I had paid, I call the local agent to be informed that for that booking I had to pay in advance 900€ as insurance! I replied that I honestly don't have that amount in my bank and they refuse to give me the car I have paid for. Any attempt to communicate through their emails is futile (no answer or automated message that the mail is not in use). The communication form does not allow you to state your problem only directs you to standard issues with the standard answer that my booking cannot be modified or refunded. Stay away from CARJET and doyouspain and all the relevant”

Nem carro nem devolução do dinheiro pago.
Com viagem marcada para a ilha de São Miguel, nos Açores, de 18 a 25 de Junho, procurei um carro para essa semana.
Nas diversas propostas da internet optei pela plataforma de rent-a-car Carjet, sendo um dos requisitos ter entre 26 e 69 anos de idade. Por ter 69 anos a ser financeiramente mais vantajosa foi esta a minha escolha. Preenchi todo o formulário, onde nada constava de diferente sobre a idade do condutor/locatário.
O aluguer do carro, por uma semana, assim como o respectivo seguro, no valor total de 375,60€, foram pagos a 26 de Abril. Recebi o comprovativo desse pagamento.
À chegada a São Miguel estava reservado um carro da empresa de rent-a-car “Magic Island”. Solicitaram a carta de condução: “Temos aqui um problema, o senhor tem mais de 65 anos, não lhe podemos entregar o carro”.
Depois do choque inicial, pedi a devolução do dinheiro. Nada feito. Dificílimo comunicar com a Carjet, entre espanhol e inglês, disseram que a culpa era minha por não ter cumprido a clausula dos 65 anos, e para anular tinha de ser 48 horas antes da data de recolha do veículo. Para eles assunto encerrado. Nem carro nem dinheiro.
Na Magic Island a sra. D. Helena disse que compreendia a situação, mas nada podiam fazer, apenas podiam prescindir do montante que lhes cabia para me ser devolvido, e que o solicitasse à Carjet.
Reclamei telefonicamente e por escrito para a Carjet, foi-me respondido que eu é que não cumpri os requisitos do contrato, logo não tinha direito a qualquer devolução.
Nessa plataforma de rent-a-car, continua a constar como requisito, ter entre 26 e 69 anos de idade.”
“First of all, the information that CarJet provided us about the Drivalia Car Rent Bristol Airport pick up from the airport was wrong - at 7:30a.m. after the phone call to the office (which took about 10 min. for them to pick up the call) nobody picked us up at the airport,as it was stated in the email. They told us to walk with our suitcases to their office. Though we are an elderly couple, luckily our suitcases were not too heavy, but they did not even asked. Then we were told that our car reservation was not in Drivalia system, they cannot see that we booked the car. After they unsuccessfully tried to contact somebody, we were told to call the CarJet broker ourselves. That phone call cost us 35 Eur. It turned out that CarJet reserved the car, then cancelled it, then reserved again but forgot to put it into the system. We waisted about an hour trying to sort out this mess and it was a costly phone call.”
“Carjet works with a company called 7M on Madeira. This is our review about 7M :
“ Just an awful experience. We had to change 3 cars on the first day of our rental. Cars are in bad condition, dirty and have bumps and scratches all over. 7M should change name to “rent a wreck “! The owners don’t care about the state of the business, so stay away from this company. Lots of good alternatives on the island”.
We sent a written complaint to Carjet ( on their website) one week ago but they never responded. So stay away from Carjet as well.”
“I recently rented a car through CarJet for a trip to Antalya, and it was a nightmare. Despite following instructions to meet their representative, we waited for nearly four hours with no communication, which was especially distressing as we had a 2-month-old baby with us. When the representative finally arrived, I faced issues with my credit card and was forced to pay an extra 240 Euros for insurance, bringing the total cost to 400 Euros. This experience was extremely stressful and left me feeling exploited. Avoid CarJet at all costs.
Customer care team received my complaint regarding waiting time and overcharged for insurance to which I've received an email asking to wait till they investigate what happened.
It's already 3 months after my initial email and no news from this company. Seems that reply speed is matching the car collection speed. Its a total scam and zero customer care. Don't go near this company, my honest advice.”
“We booked the rental car through CarJet before reading many bad reviews about their bad experience with CarJet. I was worried for a while and we had rang up directly to Hertz in Marrakech to double check before we arrived there and asked them if they got my hubby’s name on their registration. They confirmed us that they got my hubby’s name and the exact model car of Geely, a fabulous car. Till then we picked up our exact model of our car, Geely from the start till the end of holiday. No issues with car. Whew 😥”

I booked online for 125.12 Euro and when I went to pick up the car they gave me two other different prices, check the pictures below! it is ridiculous! #1 option was 67927 Ft ( 173.06 Euro)plus 1 244 464 Ft (3178.13 Euro) deposit no insurance what I payed already online the #2 option was 202971 Ft (517.10 Euro) ! Now they not letting me to cancel”
“The driver from our group we rented car forgot his credit card and he had only had debit card. The company in Lisbon CRC that works with Car Jet in PT refused to provide us the car, only in one condition that we would pay for the car again !!! with them CRC, then they accepted his debit and charged us again !! Carjet never picked the phone, we wanted to change the name of the driver bc everyone in the group had a credit card and driving license .. at the end they have gave us money back and we end up paying for the car twice !”
“Dealer didn't have the car that I have paid for, I was offered a smaller car. Ended up by paying extra to get what I originally paid for. Bad service, first and last time.”
“Please don’t try carjet. I made the booking today and went to the provider to get the car, but the car was unavailable. Despite knowing the fact that car is unavailable with dealer, carnet made the reservation and took my money. Now when I am trying to contact the support for the refund they are not answering the call. Such a big scam. Please stay away from carjet”
