“I bought something to share it with my ESL Students at the High School where I teach inSpain, we were planning to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day and then I offered them some presents to those who wore the best Saint Patrick's garments... and the present were not there, they arrived 6 days later. So you can imagine how I feel: deceived, cheated, disappointed, ... and my students even worse. Those are my thoughts. You didn't respect the deadline for the delivery, they were meant to be here on Mach 17 the latest. Thanks for nothing.”

“It was a pity that my order didn't arrive in time for St. Patrick's Day. It was bunting to decorate our village Driving parade. I got a dispatch message from DHL saying that my package would arrive on Tuesday 16th and I made sure someone was in my house at all times to receive it, but it never came. It finally arrived on Wednesday (St. Patrick's Day) just as the parade was about to start. I have ordered things from the UK that have arrived much quicker. I know that this is more of a complaint against the courrier but I felt that you should know. It is also very frustrating that there was no telephone number to call from your website or from DHL - I would have happily collected it from their depot if I had been given that opportunity.”

“When I initially ordered my gift which was meant to be personalised, it came unpersonalised. When I rang up to see why they said it never came up on their system so I said it’s ok and they agreed to send out a new order ASAP because it was a birthday present. A week had passed and I still had not received anything. So I rang again and the person on the phone said the order was never processed and nothing was sent out. It was a disgrace. The girl on the phone said she’ll put my order through straight away and eventually, 2 days later I received my order. I didn’t mind that first time round there was just an error, but then when they said they’d sent out a new one for me, they just never even processed the order and if I didn’t ring, I would never have received what I ordered. A disgrace and not worth the money. Never ordering from Carroll’s again.”

“Product arrived with a security tag on it. Even with one week's notice Carroll's subsequently failed to get a replacement to my daughter in time for her birthday. Meanwhile I was asked to provide a photograph of the item with its security tag. Communications were professional and businesslike rather than sympathetic. Poor service. And I was asked inappropriate questions on this survey ("rate the product")”

“The goods received were fine, however, you did not have one of the items ordered. I received a telephone call informing me of this and a refund to my card was assured. Over 4 weeks later, I have not received the refund. In these terrible times this should have been done immediately. I wish a telephone call confirming this refund this week. Nuala Campbell”

“Dear sir/madam, I am very disappointed that i ordered and paid for two products only one of which was delivered. There was no reason or explanation as to why the second product had not been sent. I was also not reimbursed for this or given an explanation until i had to contact you which i find unacceptable . I had purchased the gimmick irish passport which i wanted as a gift for a dear friend. I was subsequently reimbursed for the product, without any further gesture offered. I find it unsatisfactory i paid postage for 2 items and received one.”

“ordered 2 items at end of November to have as Christmas gifts. After a lot of emails eventually someone replied in January. I was disgusted that my order had been misplaced!!! and only item was available . The other Genises Sheperds which I needed as a Christmas gift for my godson never arrived. Out of stock I was told. No offer to pay for delivery for other item was made . Will never be buying from Carrolls again”

“I didn't receive part of what I ordered (replaced shamrock shortbread for fudge in a bus tin) and everything went out of date within a few days of receipt. Almost nothing will be in date for St Patrick's Day. Too busy on the front line to have time to send it all back!”
